As each additional guest arrived it took our waitress longer and longer to service us with drinks. Once all 4 of us arrived we asked the server for 5 mins to decide on our orders...it took 20 minutes. Our food then took another 30 mins which isn't bad but after you waited now 45 minutes it was way too long. Our server then checked on us right as the food came out and didn't see her again for at least 20 minutes. The worst part is the tip is already added (20%) which is probably why the service isn't great because they are no longer working for it. read more

I'll start off by saying my waitress was attentive and very sweet which is the reason for 2 stars instead of 1. That being said, the food was truly a let down. I ordered the Eggwhat which was stated to be "Corned beef hash cooked to perfection. Hand shredded corned beef brisket with grilled potatoes, onions, green peppers and topped with two free-range poached Omega-3 eggs." The corned beef hash tasted old and was not shredded, it was cut into chunks which were mostly fat. There were no grilled potatoes, they used tater tots... there were no green peppers or onions. I didn't want to complain because the waitress was so nice so I asked for a to go box and I will feed the meat to my dog and throw out the rest. Really bummed to have wasted $25 here on something of such poor quality. You can see my take away box where it's clearly a mash of tater tots and fatty chunks of tasteless meat. read more

Environment: Absolutely welcoming, beautiful interior, booths and tables were present as well as outdoor seating. Service: We had a very kind server who was very personable and apologized because that day, their credit card services were down so only cash was being accepted. He personally seemed very distraught about this and I believed it showed dedication and care. The only odd thing was overhearing a back room Or kitchen personnel speaking super loudly- you could hear it across the dining room. It wasn't bothersome but it was audible. I have a mixed relationship with Eggspectation. I've been several times since they opened this location about a year ago (Sept 2020). My first time was the same week they opened and my experience was AWFUL. My food wasn't good, service was slow, just a number of things. But I chalked a little bit of that experience to them just opening and still trying to get themselves together, but had had no desire to come back. Ended up making my way back to them because they were open early (8am) and serving alcohol, a MUST for night shift workers like myself. Came on a Saturday morning after work with coworkers and experience was AMAZING. Definitely owe the majority of the credit to our waitress Beatrice. SHE IS THE BESTTTTTTTT. Sadly she no longer works there but when I say she was the greatest I mean everyyyy word. They need to do whatever to have to and get her back! Food here is okay. Not all that amazing, but good sometimes. Honestly a bit pricey. But like I said, I love a place that's pouring it out early in the morning, not many places around like that since Rona. For whatever reason seasoning isn't a major ingredient in some of their food. Got a veggie omelette once and was shocked by how many times I had to reach for the salt/pepper shakers because there was literally NOTHING already on it. Chicken with the chicken & waffles pretty basic on the flavor side too. But again hit or miss sometimes and depends on what you get and when you get it. The burgers, Deliciousss and onion rings are good too. All in all, if you haven't been do visit Eggspectation at least once. Very nice looking restaurant, wide variety menu so there chance you'll get something you'll enjoy. Nice place, cute experience butttt don't go expecting "the best brunch ever." This is a nice little brunch spot. Super clean and spacious. We were able to get seating at the bar and served there. The food was good but it wasn't really out of the extraordinary in my view. I felt it was a little expensive but hey, to each it's own. I would recommend it if you want a nice brunch and don't know the area or feel like looking up something else. It pains me to write reviews like this but I sincerely hope this place closes. I made a reservation on yelp to have an outdoor meal with my friend who lives very close to Stony Point. On Eggspectation's information listed here, it says that outdoor seating and when arrive you see the partial perimeter of the restaurant has a bounty of outdoor tables and heat lamps. When I arrived at the restaurant and informed the host of my reservation, he walked us over to an indoor table. I said, "There are a lot of people inside and I don't feel comfortable. Can we please have a table outside?" The host said, "I'll ask. I'll sit you here (meaning indoors) and let you know if anything changes." 20 minutes passes. The host comes back and said, "I asked. (he didn't because we were anxiously waiting to get moved and we watched him) You know it's cold outside and we don't have any gas in the heaters outside." I find it hard to believe there wasn't any gas in any of the heaters. What this tells me is that this restaurant will not prioritize you or your health. By this point, we are starved and a waiter comes over to take our drink order. He comes back a few minutes later with the drink. Roughly 40 minutes after the drinks get dropped no one has come back to take our food order. We've been in this restaurant an hour at this point. I've had enough. I'm sorry but when you're likely to spend no less than $30 per person tip included, you don't treat people this way. I walk back up to the host and say, "We've been here over an hour and no one has taken our food order. Can I please give you my card to run my iced tea?" This young man actually says to me, "I'm sorry but I don't have anything up here to run your card. You're going to have to go to the bar." No one is manning the bar. I throw a few dollars down for my iced tea and my water and leave. As we walk out the door, the young host yells, "I'm sorry you didn't have a good experience." Seriously, close this place. Today my family took me and my mother to Eggspectation for Mother's Day. We have dined here several times before and enjoyed our food and service. Today was not a good day. The restaurant was not busy when we arrived. Our server brought us menus and drinks and then disappeared even though we said we were ready to order. When ordered it took 45 minutes for our food to come. My husband and my food was barely warm and not fixed correctly. They redid the plates and it still came back wrong. I asked to speak to the manager and she gave the order to the kitchen, eggs were fried hard and "cheeseless". Our server was still missing in action. The manager took half off my meal. After looking at the bill, I had the 20% gratuity removed and we adjusted the tip to what we felt she deserved. Service sucked and my food was subpar. Not returning. read more

I love their full bar with signature breakfast cocktails. Our server recommended the Pagé Paradise and it did not disappoint. Had the avocado toast Benedict which was delicious! Despite my pickup order being put in after I showed up, it has redeeming qualities. Got the BBQ burger and onion rings. Onion rings were extra crispy, the way I like, and bacon wasn't gummy but not crispy. I did come back for one of their "adult" beverages and was pleasantly surprised. I had the Western Omlet and my girlfriend had the Chicken Sandwich BLT, we both had the same comment, where's the flavor, we felt as though our meal was missing something, seasoning perhaps or a little sauce for the chicken. When I think of a Western Omlet with ingredients such as applewood smoked ham, sauté red and green peppers, three cheese blend of cheddar, Swiss and Gruyère I think of a mouth full of flavor, instead my Omlet was bland, other than the seasoning the food was cooked perfectly and the service was amazing!! This restaurant serves the best breakfast and the staff and service is spectacular. The manager, Damon, greeted us upon arrival and our waitress, Danielle, was extremely nice and professional. The food was amazing. The Belgian waffle was soft and delicious, the bacon was thick and cooked as requested to perfection. My husband enjoyed his meal as everything was cooked to his specifications. You will not be disappointed!! The manager, Damon, is very professional and made us feel appreciated for choosing their establishment, he was very customer focused, and knowing that it was our first time at the restaurant, he checked to see if everything was to our satisfaction. The restaurant is cozy and the music was not too loud, so you could enjoy your conversation. This has become our 'go to', number one, breakfast spot. We were going to see a movie at the Cinemax bistro We decided to grab food and a drink earlier. We tried to go to Latitude, but there was a two hour wait or we could sit at the bar and it was very loud. My friend and I were there to catch up and nd would not be able to talk in such a loud environment. We saw Eggspectation and although it was empty, we decided to give it a try. There's a reason it's empty. The first thing I tried to order was a Sam Adams Oktoberfest. They were out. Then we ordered a starter of calamari that is supposed to come with zucchini. It came out with our meal and no zucchini. The calamari was so salty that we couldn't eat it and there was no marinara sauce. We decided to split a mushroom burger, they were out of mushrooms, apparently they don't know where to get mushrooms! So the server recommended a barbecue burger. We ordered it medium, it came out rare. Lucky for me I like medium rare, so, although rare, I ate it and just hoped I didn't get E. coli, but my partner did not, and she did not want to eat any of it. It was an awful meal. and beware they add 20% gratuity. They must know that the food is so awful that they don't want it taken out on the server when it comes time for the tip!!! It was the worst meal I think I've ever had. I would recommend eating elsewhere. I would NEVER return. I think the movie at the Cinemax bistro is probably better, we did have dessert and drinks there. Giving Eggspectation the benefit of the doubt, maybe they are better for brunch.. We strolled in here in a Sunday afternoon and we're seated promptly. Seems they have a bit of everything for everyone. I settled on a bacon Bloody Mary and Lobster Benedict. Bloody Mary wasn't bad for this type of establishment. The Benedict offered plenty of lobster but the poached egg was a bit over cooked and the hollandaise could have been a bit warmer and not as congealed. This was second time visiting this restaurant. The first time was a 3. I had breakfast tacos with potatoes. I thought the potatoes were on the side. However they were in the taco. It wasn't a pleasant taste of soggy potatoes, however it was still an okay breakfast. Today I ordered the Chesapeake Benedict with lump crabmeat, replaced the potatoes with fresh fruit. The fruit could not have been fresher. However there was no lump crab!!!! The price was MKP. The "crab" meat were bits and pieces that looked like it came from a can. The hollandaise sauce was old I could only eat the fruit with the coffee. I sent it back. The others food looked delicious. Not mine's. We are supposed to do an annual breakfast with our church members, so maybe the third time will be the charm. Our wait staff were awesome. read more
