This place always reminds me of high school, bc this was probably the last time I actually for a burrito from here. Occasionally work orders from the Divisadero location which is what got me back on the burrito train. A burrito with no beans?!? Say less. I always get the surf and turf, carne asada with shrimp. The carne is cooked to perfection and the shrimp is also good. Also got the churro! An authentic churro can be hard to find bc not everywhere does it right. This place though...perfection! The chips and salsa ... brings back high school memories. This place deserves more credit! (Although $24 for a burrito seems a bit much but we're in SF and the burrito is muy grande!)

Wrong order twice in a row. I really don't know what they gave me. I always order the El Bronco with chorizo. But this time it had carrots in it and pineapple. Also seemed like some chicken? I couldn't find anything like this on the menu. Not sure what is going on but if I ever come back again I need to take a bite out of the burrito or something before I leave. I don't know... I really loved this place but if I can't get what I ordered what's the point?

We've tried the El Americano, El NorCal, and El Bronco, and they were all good. The only issue was that the last time I ordered the El Bronco, I added fries, so I expected it to be a decent size, but it was still surprisingly tiny, even smaller than the El NorCal. It's definitely a little pricey, and couple downside is that they won't give you more than one salsa per burrito or give you bag. They do include a small bag of chips, but I found them a bit hard and not very thin, though they did seem homemade.

Stay away from this place unless you're a fan of unseasoned shrimp with a side a poopy guts. Not only was there poopy guts in my shrimp but they also don't seem to remove tails from shrimp that go in burritos. Not sure if they expected me to dig through my burrito and remove the tails individually?? Not only was the quality of the food subpar but their service was worse. Unfortunately I got attitude from all three ladies that were working for simply inquiring about the ingredients. I really wanted to like this place but they made it extremely hard.

Solid neighborhood fast casual Mexican burritos, tacos, and other dishes. I got the large burrito with Carnitas pork and it's jam packed with fillings. The flavors were pretty good though a bit salty. The red salsa on side has a kick and is flavorful! Was noted to be the spicier option than their green salsa. All burritos and entrees come with complementary chips and salsa - love that [[HIGHLIGHT]]Inside is small with a few bar counter seats.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Most people including myself ordered to go / had takeout delivery.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Staff with the ladies I saw were friendly and efficient

Solid local spot for tacos, burritos, nachos, breakfast plates y más. I used to eat here a lot 10 years ago but haven't been back for a long time. The tacos here are much bigger than a typical street taco, I liked both of mine. The carne asada costs extra, but it was super flavorful and tender and I would recommend trying it! The carnitas were tasty as well but not too salty, they needed the salsa to add more flavor. Next time I would ask for a lime, which would take everything to the next level, as it felt like it was missing something on its own. The chorizo and eggs breakfast plate came with a generous portion and was delicious. Quick service, perfect for a lunch break! [[HIGHLIGHT]]They have some counter seating available if you want to dine in.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

My first time to this location. I have catered them for work events from the Divisadero location. We love the flavor in the meat. Yum.

That was a delicious burrito! I'll go back. [[HIGHLIGHT]]This Taqueria is a tiny place - - when you think of a hole in the wall, this is it![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]They do have a thin counter where a few people can sit.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Huge volume of people getting to go food. The place is jammed.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] It is typical SF prices: super burrito with a Diet Coke, tax and tip came to $19.29. Not a bargain. I'm impressed that the food was absolutely delicious!

Over the years I've found myself drawn to the other contender in the Mission way more than El Farolito, so I decided it was time to head back to try this legendary burrito shop. Getting to this location is super simple as we took BART and got off at the 24th Street Mission BART station and from there it's a very short walk of less than a block to get to El Farolito. Walking into the shop one is just slapped in the face with the beautiful smells of the carne asada cooking on the grill right by the door-it's wonderful. It's a modest place that you can definitely tell was built many years ago,so no overly modern amenities-this place cares about the food, not the ambiance. We ended up going with a couple of super burritos of Carne Asada ($11.25) & a regular burrito of Al Pastor($10.25) & also added two tacos one with Al Pastor and one with Carne Asada($4.75) They had beers at $4.75-so we grabbed a couple of Modelos. First the tacos-they were just ok,the tacos were crunchy and I don't know kind of gave Taco Bell vibes. Burritos though-that's a whole different animal. The burrito was so well made from the chew of the tortilla to the seasoning of the carne asada to the perfect balance and mix of all the other ingredients.I judge a burrito harshly if the mix isn't right and you don't get every ingredient in every bite and the mix at El Farolito was flawless. The price point was pretty impressive as well. In closing, El Farolito has always been in the mix as one of the top burrito spots in the Mission, and I can say with confidence that it's in my Top 2 in San Francisco currently. It's an incredible burrito and a true "must-visit" spot when visiting San Francisco. P.S. Just a slight heads up when visiting , it's not the safest neighborhood in the world, so just keep your head up when visiting-this is a place one visits for the food experience not the ambiance.

After waiting about 30 minutes, I assumed my order would be ready when I arrived. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case. They don't actually prepare the order ahead of time you still have to wait in the long line, then pay and apparently have the order made afterward. Honestly, what is the point of calling ahead if you're still required to stand in the same line and wait? I understand that they may be busy, but the whole purpose of calling ahead should be to make the process quicker and more convenient. The food may be good, but the ordering process was frustrating and completely defeated the purpose of calling ahead. Two stars from me based on the experience.

A few people were already in there eating, and we know this place is good, as a few others in our group and I have been here multiple times. The Taqueria is typical of any other, with bench-style chairs for folks to sit on, a water station, and workers cooking it up in the kitchen. I wasn't too hungry, so I grabbed a Super Lengua Taco, while my friends grabbed burritos, we ended up grabbing 3 complimentary chips and guac/salsa with our order and the food came out pretty quickly. When I saw my Taco I forgot how much they stuffed it and wow, two of these would've filled me up just like a taco; there was so much Lengua that it kept falling off after every bite. The flavors all came together and I scruffed down the whole thing after about 6+ bites! Definitely a place to come to if you're looking for a full meal, or something to snack on!
