I was eating healthy, so I got the Tom Yum Kai, Chicken Satay, and asked if they could provide a side salad (which was not on the menu). The accomodated my request. The Tom Yum was really good! I'm back since covid after my lust for legit Thai Boat Noodle, this place still does it like no other ones in Thai Town. Please try it then you can compare. Beef boat noodle, mild Thai spice level (medium for Americans) is a must! They use fresh water crest, beef meatballs, fresh steamed beef cuts, sizzled liver, and topped with pork rinds and sauces. Sorry, Pa Ord needs to watch out for this boat Noodle. I even bought the broth to take home. The second must have is their new mini cheesecakes! If you enjoy not overly sweetening, light cream, flavorful desserts, another goldmine. 3 pieces for $5, I got the mango, cookies and cream, and blueberry/raspberry of sorts. If I can give 10 stars I would, I love Thai Food, this spot in Long Beach is by far one of my favorite. I have been here plenty of time before & after the pandemic they still provide the best service. You get a bang for your buck, large portion for the price. The atmosphere inside feels like home, though their parking lot is small, don't mind parking a few blocks away especially if the food is good. I have ordered from this restaurant since last year, via door dash or Uber. I usually order a curry and an appetizer. I have never encountered an issue until recently. I ordered a pad thai as well as the calamari. The calamari was stale, hard, and inedible. I gave it to my dogs as a treat. $11 plus dollars down the drain. I called to complain and their solution was to call after placing my order to ask for the calamari to be fried less. No apology or refund. Yesterday Dec. 2, I ordered a curry and the container arrived half full! The potatoes in the curry were also raw. I contacted Uber for a refund and it is still pending. I am giving up on this restaurant and will no longer do business with them. Time to look for a new thai restaurant in the neighborhood. read more

I chose the Mild yellow curry w chicken (comes w/ white rice) Thai tea 3 cheesecake for 5$ ( 1 oreo, 1mango, 1pumpkin?) I gotta say what a good portion of curry which had onion or cabbage in thin square slices, carrots in nice soft chunks and rough cuts of chicken in thin bite sizes oh and potato I think (whoops) it was soooo warm! And you have 3 spice levels (( Mild, Med, and Hot/ Spicy)) I'm glad I chose mild bc I could taste quite a kick which I like and the rice was filled to brim The Thai tea was perfect in bitter to sweetness ratio for me And the cheesecakes were absolutely adorable, I love that they were all topped with whipping cream that wasn't too sweet Bc most of the fillings and crust had enough flavor and sweetness. SIMPLY AMAZING! This place has one of the best Thai foods in Long Beach at affordable prices. I love coming here whenever I am craving some spice and lots of flavor in my food. Some of my favorite dishes here includes pad kee mao, pad see ew, pad thai, and combination fried rice. Perhaps the combo fried rice is my favorite dish! It has all of the meats-beef, chicken and shrimp! They season it really well and add a lot of fried egg to it as well. I like that you can customize the spice level of your dishes. I'd recommend going with mild to be on the safe side. You can always make it spicier if you like by adding chili powder after wards! Be careful though cause a little of the chili powder will go a long way. Whatever you order here, you can't go wrong because they really have every dish down in terms of flavor. The inside seating is not the biggest so you might have to wait during peak hours. However, they do take a lot of take out orders as well so that's another option to consider if they're busy. Parking lot can be small in the back but plenty of street parking close by. Otherwise service is pretty solid too. The workers are super nice, friendly and will always get you want you need if you ask. Give this place a try, you won't be disappointed! read more

They do have a really reasonable priced lunch special but I wanted something a bit more complex and aunth so I ordered the Beef Pad Thai. It has stir fried classic Thai rice noodles with your choice of meat, egg, bean sprouts and ground peanuts. Amazzzziinnnngggggggggggg! It's nice and spicy, the serving portion is a really nice size for the price and it tastes SUPER fresh! The customer service is great also. They greeted me when I walked in, sat me and brought me water right away. My waitress was attentive & very polite. She answered all my questions and was honestly excited for me to try my food. Long Beach is unique with it's Thai restaurants and Elephant Thai is one of my favorite Thai restaurants. Off Long Beach Blvd, they have their own little private parking lot and plenty of street parking in what's mostly a residential area. Walking inside, it's a quaint little restaurant with a nice set of tables and chairs, specials written on a chalkboard, a QR code to scan for the menu, Thai decorations, and flat screen tv on the wall. They have a nice selection of food on their menu. This time around, i got their large spicy coconut soup which is good for two people. It is served on a hot pot. You get to chose your spice level. It is so flavorful and comforting, especially on a cold, grey, drizzly day. I also got fried garlic chicken wings as an appetizer, although they brought them out after the main course of soup, it was ok. I also ordered Thai teas and they were ok. Overall, i was happy with the food and the Thai ambiance. I recommend it. read more

It is unassuming on the outside but their strength is in their authentic, flavor-filled offerings that will definitely hit the spot. Perhaps the only disappointing bit today was the mango sticky rice being unavailable due to the mangoes being out of season--this of course is not the restaurant 's fault by any means--I don't expect them to import mangoes from Thailand every week to fulfill our cravings. This review is for the red curry with chicken . Two days before ordering the red curry I had ordered the pad thai, which was fantastic, so I wanted to try something different. I did order the pad thai again with my red curry because it's so good, but I started off with the red curry first. It comes with a small box of white rice which I poured into the container that the curry came in. Unfortunately or not, the red Curry was so good that after a few bites of the curry I went to have some of the pad thai and although the pad thai was still just as good as the first time I tried it, the flavor and spices in the curry keep me mostly eating the curry for the night with the little bit left over for lunch the next day. Although you can't really compare Pad Thai to Curry I would say that the spicy red curry with chicken is my first favorite dish at this establishment. The best way to describe it in short is to say there were so many flavors in one meal that there was no way to possibly improve it. I will be back again soon. read more

Overall, great dish. Good ratio of beef, onions, carrots and cashews. The sauce was tasty and I really liked how juicy it was. I ordered my dish medium spicy. Next time I'm going to order spicy. Although it was well balanced. I just would like a little more kick. I recommend this dish. My entire staff enjoyed their food. First time ordering Thai food.
