pad thai: stir-fried rice noodles with chicken, egg, bean sprouts, and ground peanuts = $16
    Trung N.

3.5 stars We shared some noodles for lunch. Each portion ran us around $16 without any protein upgrades. I ordered the pad see ew with chicken ($16). The stir-fried rice noodles come with plenty of Chinese broccoli, egg, and chicken. I asked for my noodles to be medium spicy, though I think I prefer the taste of spicy sambal chili paste. The noodles were fine, but missing that wok hei taste. Without that char, they kinda just fell flat. I also had bites of the pad Thai with chicken ($16). In addition to the chicken, these came with eggs, bean sprouts, and ground peanuts. I found the noodles to be a tad too sour for my liking. Everything tasted as it should - serviceable, but nothing special.

Tried Elephant Thai for the first time, the pad see ew was pretty good. But, everything else was pretty mediocre. The beef in the beef salad was tough and chewy, the soup was a little bland, and the fried trout was dry but the apple salad it pairs with was really a good addition. The service was not too great considering there was only 1 other table, they weren't very attentive to our needs and took a while to wait for them to come by.

A little hole in the wall joint. Food was pretty tasty Thai/Laos. A little different than what I am used to, but, that's the beauty of trying something new, seems pretty authentic. Food: *I had some sort of spicy noodle soup (the broth was very rich in flavor but I do wish they told me it had tripe!!! Yuck, I do not like tripe!) *spicy chicken and basil (I think my husband got medium n it was a bit too spicy for him.) *beef Pad sew ew - very good! It was a little different cooked then amused or but I did like it. Spice level is very much of a Thai spice and not American. I personally like more Asian spice than the diluted American level of spice. So if you are not used to spicy food, beware and get it very mild. Tip: Close to the Miller Children Hospital.

Tried Elephant Thai Kitchen for the first time and was honestly impressed with the flavor execution across the board. We had the Drunken Noodles, Tom Kha, and Panang Curry. All three delivered. The Drunken Noodles had great wok hei with a nice kick and perfectly chewy noodles. Tom Kha was rich, aromatic, and had just the right balance of tangy lemongrass and creamy coconut. The Panang Curry was probably the standout. Deep nutty flavor with a smooth velvety texture that paired great with jasmine rice. Service was good. Staff was attentive without being overbearing and the food came out fresh and timely. Prices were a little higher than what I usually expect for Thai, but the quality and portions helped justify it. Overall, a solid spot. Flavor-forward dishes, cozy vibe, and reliable execution. Would definitely come back.

Food is really good, medium spicy is very spicy. Yellow Curry is good, the salad is also very good.

Good food and fast service! Pad See Ew and a side of sticky rice to go. It was ready within five minutes or so. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The prices were reasonable, and the portions were good. My dish was a little smokier in flavor than I like but overall, it was a good experience and the flavors were good.

One of the highlights is their Thai tea, which is served with a popsicle and seems to be one of their most popular items for good reason. It's fun, unique, and absolutely delicious. I also tried the salmon curry, which was something new for me, and I ended up loving it. The flavors were rich, balanced, and unlike anything I've ordered before. Another unexpected favorite was the wings. I'm usually not a big wings person, but these were surprisingly good--crispy, flavorful, and definitely worth ordering. Overall, the food, drinks, and atmosphere exceeded my expectations. It's a spot I would absolutely come back to and one that I would definitely recommend to others.

Kin was one of the only restaurants open until 10 PM. We were seated right away, and somehow the five of us sat in a private room. It was kind of late for me to eat anything really heavy so I just have my usual salad and it was the beef tenderloin salad. They serve it up with a lot of beef and less veggies. The beef itself was a little chewy and in large pieces. I prefer the meat to be cut a little smaller and would like more lettuce and cucumber. I got a little taste of the spicy fried rice, which was really good. Some of us ordered Thai tea and didn't expect what we received, which was the tea with a Thai tea popsicle. What a treat! The Thai tea itself was pretty standard, but that popsicle was like the icing on a cake. The places, modern and clean. Staff is helpful and nice. Our group of 3 walked in on a Friday afternoon and were seated immediately, despite the space being brimming with customers. The staff were welcoming and courteous. Interior is homey, had elements of street shop decor (peep the corrugated metal wall) that gave a rustic, industrial vibe :3 There were so many dishes we wanted to try, we opted to just split everything family-style. THAI ICED GREEN TEA: Just the right blend of tea and cream, and not too sweet! So rich and refreshing. FRESH OYSTERS THAI STREET STYLE: Spicy...! Has a kick. Went well with the fried onion topping. PAPAYA SALAD (Laos style): First time trying Laos style! The fermented seafood on top was FANTASTIC. Crisp brininess paired with the fresh papaya was beyond flavorful. I'm typically not a huge fan of crab but the salad dressing infused into the meat won me over. PAD KRA PROW (w/mock chicken): Standard stir-fried veggie/"meat" dish. We just wanted to try the mock chicken-- was a glutinous tofu-like protein, like the kind you get at Buddhist temple lunches. I mentioned to our waitress that it was my friend's birthday, and they graciously brought out a complimentary dish of ice cream with a candle to celebrate...! The Tom Kha soup was amazing--loaded with protein and mushrooms with a rich, flavorful broth. We also ordered two Pad Kee Mao dishes: one medium-spice with shrimp and one very spicy with beef. Surprisingly, the consistency differed between the two. Overall, the Pad Kee Mao was a bit drier and less saucy than I prefer. My personal benchmark for noodle dishes is Bamboo in Redondo, which I still prefer. The Khao Soi was beautifully presented and had a strong, delicious curry flavor. We also tried the mango sticky rice beer, which I really enjoyed. Service could have been better. We were required to place our entire order upfront--including drinks, appetizers, entrées, and dessert--which felt rushed and a bit overwhelming. The staff's tone also came across as less welcoming than expected. Overall, the food was good, but I wouldn't personally wait an hour for it again. There are several other Thai restaurants along the same street.

I will say that service can be very inconsistent. From my more recent experiences (multiple visits across the last year or two), I noticed a pattern where the servers are quick to seat you and take your order, but then you don't hear from them again until you flag them down (if you need anything or want to get the check, for example). I'm not saying that check-ins throughout the meal are required, but they would be nice gestures. Also having to wait around to contact a server just to pay can be a bit inconvenient... I ordered Pad sae ew (spelling?) basil fried rice (which they forgot to send), green curry, and hot basil chicken. Let's start with the pad Sae ew. Ew is right. It completely lacked flavor. That sweet dark soy flavor that dish is supposed to have. This dish didn't have it. Not even close. Instead it was very bland and just tasted of salt. Like they just made plain rice noodles and drizzled some regular soy sauce on it. I've never had this dish taste so bad. I can't speak on the basil fried rice as I didn't receive it but I can't imagine it's very good based on the other 3 dishes I did receive. Green curry: that's gonna be a no from me dawg. Again, completely lacked flavor. All I tasted was a bit of salt. No sweetness, no spices. Plus it was a very very thin curry. Thinner than it should be. Hot basil chicken: no. Just no. Again. Completely lacking in flavor. All I could taste is salt. It's like they use just soy sauce to flavor everything with. That's it. I've eaten Thai food all my life and at times at some very sus places, however, I've never come across a restaurant where each dish is more disappointing than the next! It's pretty hard to eff up Thai food but here we are. I hope the owners take this as constructive criticism and change recipes/cooks/burn whole restaurant down. I spent over $70 on this BS and couldn't get more than 2 spoonfuls of each dish down before I threw it in the trash. Now it's past midnight and my big back is still hungry. Update: I contacted the owner per his response and haven't heard back yet. I don't know how they're going to make it right aside from a full refund. We'll see.
