Drinks are tasty and come out after a good while but they're worth the wait. Great place to study, search the net, first dates and meet up with friends. The staff is helpful and don't hesitate to navigate you through the ordering process and gladly make recommendations. There is a $5 minimum purchase for using that fantastic plastic. Fruity Tea Time! The Aloe Vera Kiwi Juice which I got was actually pretty good. I was going to try passion fruit green tea but went with this instead, and this new choice was a great one. The drink was not overly sweet as I had order it with slight sugar level (30% sweet) and half ice. There was plenty of aloe in it as well and I had the large size which was $3.55. The drink was super refreshing which made my night even that much more chilling and refreshing as it was cold outside. However, I enjoyed it very much. As someone else has stated before it is similar to other Taiwanese chain boba places such as ShareTea, with its size and pricing. Ambiance/Service: There was no line or wait, and service was quick and easy. It's as cool as smooth and as refreshing as my drink! Great little place for a quick drink and chat. There are a few tables and seating as well. Clean place and friendly service. Location: Westminster, plenty of parking if not busy day. Right across from Snow Monster plaza. Been looking pretty hard for a good basic milk tea that doesn't upset my stomach and isn't too crazy with flavors. Something subtle and I think I found my answer at Ding Tea. Yes the line can be pretty long and when there isn't a line, the time to get your tea takes forever! However, its a favorite for me cus I don't feel sick afterwards and doesn't keep me up too late when I have milk tea night cravings. DINGTEA has multiple locations spread across Asia, but only one in the US (so far). It has become one of my favorite milk tea joints in Little Saigon. Finding a spot to sit can be challenging as they only have 3 or 4 tables, especially during peak hours. Why are all the good boba shops equipped with deficient seatings? Also the choice of natural colors and wooden wall decor doesn't help the ambiance as it seems to perish by the tiny space again. I drank various kinds, the quality was always stellar. My favorite so far is the Hokkaido Milk Tea which has a unique flavor: slight hint of coffee/butterscotch aroma. Too sad they don't mix it with Baileys - what a great cock-tea/milk-tail that would be. Though they serve smaller pearls (which I personally prefer, I believe the majority favors the larger ones), their texture is flawless, not too chewy, not too dense. A good place to stop by and pick up a drink :) Dingtea Bolsa has lots of different flavors tea, and some flavors that not every boba place will have. I tried the Lychee Green Tea with Golden Boba, and I LOVE it. The last time I had Lychee Green Tea was two years ago, from a boba place in Australia (that I don't remember the name). I couldn't taste any Lychee flavor, and it was so sweet, so I didn't have Lychee Green Tea for so long. I decided to give it a try again at this place, and surprisingly it turned out 10 times better! The sweetness is just right, I could taste both Green Tea and Lychee flavors at the same time. Golden Boba is one of the special things about this place, it was soft, and chewy, perfect with the drink. It's a small place, but cute :). This place is super cute! Next to one of my favorite restaurants. Started my order asking the girl who took it, suggestions on pairings for Matcha Milk Tea. She suggested: Egg Pudding or the signature Golden Boba (specialty). I loved that she had an immediate suggestion. Usually places don't really guide you on their signature stand outs. Started my order at 9:15p. There was a little line right after me. Was excited that this place was getting some action. Usually new places that aren't IG or FB savvy do well. So this little gem is a plus' The aesthetics of the shop is not quite eye pleasing. It's not at all terrible but the AstroTurf wall and modular art wouldn't have been my first choice. Black seating (probably easier for cleaning). The place is boarding hipster/Asian mall/Korean pop-esque theme. Negative: Counter space is small. And the call out booth has no place to even pound a straw down. So it's here's your straw and here's your drink. Positives: my drink was done in 6 minutes (9:21p). I liked the tea here a lot. I got the honey aloe Vera and it tastes very refreshing. It does not taste artificial or harsh on your throat. There is a strong tea fragrance and the honey is very prominent. The sugar from the honey is fresh and not the regular refined sugar. The wait was long and they seemed very unorganized. There is a lack of seating and the store is quite small. You could get claustrophobic in there. Overall, good experience. Not only did this deal allow the drinks to be really cheap, but it also allowed me to try 2 different drinks - the passion fruit milk tea and mango yakult with boba. Since the drink ice and sugar amount were adjustable, I got a lil less of both. They were both tasty though I'm a sucker for passion fruit so that milk tea was more appealing to me! I'm not sure if the employee made a mistake, if he used a container previous used for coffee, or if it's how they usually make it. Had it tasted more like milk tea, I would say the quality was pretty good overall. Overall, the place has a nice atmosphere. Limited but available seating. Living in an area where Boba places pop up in every corner like no one's business, I was somewhat skeptical about how I would find this place. I don't usually crave boba that much, maybe once in a while. I'm so glad this place is 2 mins away and so good! DingTea is a Taiwanese chain, and has international locations that I was like ok they must be good lol. Drinks and Service: *Signature milk tea with egg pudding(extra add on) Large $4. You can taste the real tea in your first sip and it has a nice tea aroma. The egg pudding was delicious, it was actual pudding and not like a jelly consistency that some other boba places have for egg pudding. These two factors sold me! And packaging is legit! I like how you can adjust the sweetness and amount of ice you want. *Hokkaido Milk Tea with egg pudding(extra add on) Large $4. The flavor tastes sort of like tea and a bit of coffee/butterscotch flavor into it but there is no coffee in it. It tastes like one of my favorite childhood candy, the Japanese milk candy from Hokkaido, mixed in a cup. It is good but was a bit too sweet for me after halfway thru the drink. You can adjust the sweetness but I want to try everything the way it is at first. Don't think I would order this in the near future. *Oolong milk tea with egg pudding(extra add on .50¢) Large $4. This was pretty good! I love Oolong tea, grew up drinking it in Japan, so it is a very familiar taste to me. I think it was a bit on the sweeter side, so if I ever get this, I would definitely get it either 70% or 50% sweet. I would choose this over Hokkaido milk tea. *Strawberry yakult ~$4 for Large. I didn't order this but my sis in law did and what they do is mix yakult (not the real Yakult brand) and for strawberry they use jam. For other flavors they use powder. She wanted more the yakult flavor than strawberry so they were nice to adjust it for her and actually made her taste a mini sample, which was really good service. I don't know how it tasted since she was sick and we didn't share :P Restaurant atmosphere: clean, small yet cute with adorable decor. Few small tables inside. Overall impression and recommendation: I've only been here three times but so far I would recommend trying their signature milk tea since it IS their signature item and what they're known for. This is such a cute lowkey boba pop up in the heart of Bolsa. I'm torn between wanting this place to get more popular so it doesn't go out of business, but I sure as hell don't want this place being overpopulated by teenyboppers and whatnot. Ambiance: Small but cozy. There are several backdrops on their walls for photo opps with your drinks and whatnot + a cute little bay window-like place that I'm sucking at explaining right now. Signature milk tea: For my Viets who have tried Banh Mi Cali's milk tea 2 for $2.50, I'd say Dingtea's Signature milk tea is like the premium version of that and tummy ache free . This is my go-to drink when I come here. You can definitely taste the brewed tea and the sweetness level is just right. Yakult green tea: Thumbs up! The yogurt/yakult drinks are the star of the menu and it's really hard to find tea places that have actual yogurt drinks. SO for all you yogurt-lovers... this is your spot. The yogurt drinks are almost kinda frothy because of how they make it... mixing yogurt and juice into a nice consistency. I recommend getting the yogurt drink with starfruit jelly. There's also tons of flavors like strawberry, mango, lychee, grape, and more. I tried looking up how they make it, but their website is in Chinese... so I'll definitely be back. I wanted to give this place a four stars since the staffs were friendly and helpful. However, I ended up giving this place a three stars since the drinks were not up to par. My friend and I came during the last day of promotion so the drinks were buy one get one free. My friend ordered a Signature Milk Tea and a Jasmine Milk Tea while I ordered myself a Honey Black Tea and a Signature Milk Tea. My order was less than 4 bucks which was amazing considering that I got two large drinks. The Honey Black Tea reminded me of Dolphin Bay's black tea, but not as sweet. The Signature Milk Tea was alright, I expected more. A few hours later, my friend and I came back because he really wanted to try the Hokkaido Milk Tea. I really enjoy the Hokkaido Milk Tea at Boiling Point so I was excited to see how this place compare to Boiling Point. The drinks tasted nothing alike. Just want to ask the owner or the batista if the honey green milk tea is strong as coffee that we need additional ice to get it taste better and fill up the cup. During my recent trip down to the OC, I yelped for new milk tea places and stumped upon Ding Tea. We ended up coming right after dinner. It wasn't too crowded and there were 1-2 people who ordered ahead of us. There were three people working but only one of the workers were making the drinks. This made the wait pretty slow. Their menu isn't too extensive and there's not much you can order if you're not in the mood for caffeine. A lot of other milk tea places offer ice milk drinks or fresh taro milk but they didn't have anything like that. They did have yogurt based drinks but they are flavored with syrups and who really wants that? I had a lemon juice with aloe vera. I realized they didn't ask how much sugar or ice level I preferred until after I ordered. Luckily, the drink wasn't too sweet but the drink was a bit too icy. Ken L had a green milk tea which was decent too. However, we probably won't be back due to the amount of time we spent waiting for our drinks and the lack of anything really special on their menu. I was looking for a new boba place to try in Westminster because my go-to places are either snow monster, 7 leaves or tastea, and decided to try this place across from snow monster. And OMG I love the golden boba! It's so soft and chewy. Maybe it's the color but it seems somewhat sweeter (and I love sweets!) As a huge fan of milk tea, I had to try the "signature milk tea" they had and I was very impressed by the authentic flavor. If you are a fan of tea like I am, you'll love it! This one doesn't taste as good as the one on Garden Grove Blvd or in Tustin. I haven't tried other Ding Tea locations but I don't think they follow the franchise's recipes or I always just have terrible luck. I do know that the other two use non-dairy creamer while the Bolsa one uses whole milk. This location is also not listed on the official Taiwanese website.
