Had an amazing Italian dinner. Complimentary mini appetizers & housemade ricotta was delicious! We started off with one of their spring pasta dish filled with housemaid ricotta. Yums! After we had the veal chop Marsala, mushroom fettuccine, & the famous 100 lasagna! Veal chop was tender & juicy. Their pasta itself had the perfect texture. My reason for the 4-star rating is staff members, Gabriel and Tony. I ordered a BIllecarte Slamon Rose (My favourite) and the Sole Piccata. The problem with the piccata was that it had bones. I was told they are edible, but I'm not going to risk getting one logged in my oesophagus or digestive tract. They made it again and it had another bone. I actually didn't mind the second one having one bone in but Gabriel and Tony were not having it. They made it right in a way I couldn't believe and it made my night. I'm grateful and will return. Visited Fachini when I was pregnant and it didn't disappoint! We went early (because pregnant) and were seated quickly. Clean and inviting atmosphere with friendly staff. The food is incredible. We had the lobster diablo and would highly recommend! We'd love to go back but reservations are nearly impossible to come by when we finally get a sitter booked. The secret is clearly out! read more

Dined tonight for my birthday and had a wonderful meal! They recognized my birthday as soon as we checked in and again when our waiter came to the table as well as at the end of the evening with a wonderful chocolate cake. Was disappointed when we were told the clams have been taken off the menu as this was one reason we had decided on dining here. We ordered the carpaccio ($16) a evening special of tortellini stuffed with ricotta and white truffles $50( yum) the tenderloin $50 veal chop $55, 100 layer lasagna $ 35 and fettuccine with mushrooms $20. All EXCELLENT! The fettuccine was a huge hit all the table loved it. A very flavorful meaty tasting dish that you should order! Quite different from the usual pasta dinner. I don't believe there is a bad choice on the menu as all food looked fabulous as it came out. The place is a bit loud as diners are trying to talk over the loud music that played. I suggest that that be toned down to a more reasonable dining level. Yes, it is pricey for Italian but very worth it! The flavors make up for the sticker price. A must have meal! We were able to walk in with no wait on a Thursday at 7:45pm - the manager and hostess were very personable and sat us in the dining room. The staff brought around water and DELICIOUS garlic bread, veggies, salami, and dip. Our waiter (I think Jack?) came around shortly after and was so attentive. The bolognese and vodka pasta were just amazing, Blanco 75 and Espresso Martini were delicious, and the night ended with a wonderfully made crème brûlée. The vibe of the restaurant is certainly high end which matches the price and the area it's located. However, they provided excellent service and did not come by too often it was more European style - providing us time to eat, digest, and have conversations without wait staff interrupting every few minutes. Celebrated my birthday a little early at Fachini! It was DELICIOUS! I highly recommend ordering a few items and dine family style. Each dish is a VERY large portion and can easily be shared. We ordered the 100 Layer Lasagna (DELISH), Rigatoni alla Vodka (SO SIMPLE BUT SO YUM), table side Caesar salad, New Orleans Snapper, and Wagyu Steak (not pictured). My boyfriend and I have been wanting to try Fachini for a while now, so when restaurant week popped up and they seemingly were going to offer their special pre-fixe menu over the course of a month instead of one week, we leapt at this great opportunity. $49 per person and a three-course meal? Sign me up! If you want a weekend spot, you're going to have to accept that you'll be dining weeks from now so I was elated that Fachini, presumably knowing this, expanded their restaurant week offering to more than a week. So imagine our frustration when, day of, we head to the website to take a look at the menu once more, and we're greeted with a pop-up noting that restaurant week would only be observed for one week, which was weeks ago at this point. Since the menu was still up on the site, I thought maybe there was a typo or something, but nope, as we sat down at our table, we were presented with the regular menu. I thought I had made some terrible mistake when making the reservation, reading the dates wrong for restaurant week, but the table next to ours asked about the restaurant week menu out of confusion as well, so I knew they must've changed the dates retroactively. Their waiter was a bit blunt with them, saying he didn't understand where the confusion was coming from, restaurant week had long passed and this was the menu. When we make a decision to go out to eat, we accept the cost of it, whatever it may be, but knowing we weren't going to get the great restaurant week deal we originally thought we were left a bitter taste in our mouths that even the complimentary ricotta couldn't mask. Beyond that, our waiter was subpar for the level of this restaurant. He was not knowledgeable of the menu and couldn't even offer me a wine suggestion when asked. He had to bring over the restaurant's "wine expert" which made me nervous since I'm no wine snob or amateur sommelier, I just wanted to know which wine on the list was the closest to a cabernet sauvignon. Thankfully he kept it pretty high-level and offered me a tasting of his suggestion before committing to a glass. Their wine list is HUGE, so I don't expect the waiter to intimately know the qualities of each and every wine on the list, but at the very least they should be educated on the handful of offerings by glass. We ordered fried calamari for the table which was not the best I've ever had, but not the worst either. I felt like pickled jalapeños was an odd accompaniment. Why not peperoncini, Calabrian peppers or sport peppers to keep it more Italian? I ordered the flounder piccata and my boyfriend ordered the rigatoni with vodka sauce. Our waiter did not alert us that his dish did not come with any kind of meat, nor did he warn me that my fish came with no pasta or vegetable. We made it work by sharing our plates, he got half my fish and I got half his pasta, but again, a good waiter would've let us know the limitations of our entrees and offered a suggested side. That being said, both of our dishes were really great and cooked perfectly. We finished with an espresso and tiramisu, and, for me, the tiramisu was the best I've ever had. I think tiramisu can get a bad rep for being heavy, but this tiramisu was very light. It was more lady finger-forward versus mascarpone-forward. Sometimes tiramisu can really smack you in the face with coffee flavor too, but this one did not. Also, if you're in the mood for dessert but too stuffed, the espresso does come with a small biscotti, which I think would be enough to satiate your sweet tooth without taking it overboard. All in all, would we go back? Probably. The food was good enough to make us come back for special occasions or when we want elevated Italian. But it was in poor taste that Fachini changed the dates they would be honoring restaurant week after already publishing them online (why would I have any reason to go back to the website to ensure that the dates haven't changed as I await my reservation?), and our waiter could've been better educated. These two things took away from our experience, but since it wasn't a special occasion or celebratory dinner, I'll give it a pass...for now. read more

My friend and I stopped in randomly walking around HPV. Decor was nice as was the ambiance.. We ordered the 100 Layer Lasagna and Vodka Rigatoni to share. Portions were large and we couldn't finish it all. (Very much appreciated due to most Italian places having tiny portions) The Rigatoni was my favorite. Cooked perfectly. Lasagna so good too. Went here for my two year anniversary with my girlfriend. It's kind of a hoity toity type of place but we both thought it was pretty good overall. The 100 layer lasagna was pretty good and not super heavy as one may expect. You may be wondering, how does one make 100 layer lasagna? I was wondering that very thing. After careful thought and analysis, I determined that the make a huge lasagna in a pan and they give you a slice or a cross section and lay it on its side. It would be better if it had more mozzarella in it. The atmosphere was pretty cool for a date. The service kinda sucked but that's to be expected at such a place in my opinion. Bring your pocket book too cause you'll need it. I'll come back here some time. I'm just not sure when. read more

Love this place! You definitely want to make a reservation. I had called that day and got in around 9:30pm. It was still busy and lively. The service is amazing. It's next to the pizza place up the stairs. There's a bar area to hang out in while you wait for a table. They also have an outside area as well. The FOOD was delicious. I had the 100 layer lasagna which 2 people can share easily. We also had the lamb chops which was good. Had the beef carpaccio as an app which was alright. I've had better. I've been to Fachini many times "pre-quarantine," it became the staple of Italian in Dallas. I recently dined during quarantine and I guess they never threw out any of the Lasagna or Parmesan and decided to serve it? The food tasted like it had been frozen for weeks. As I was leaving, I was asked why I was short on the ticket; prior to coming I was told over the phone a credit card was taken and I would be charged for the meal so that interaction with the waiter was limited. Extremely awkward being asked why I'm short on a ticket, I paid then left. I will try again after society reaches normalcy, but will not be back during quarantine. We ordered for pickup Chicken al Limone, Veal Parmesan, Cappelletti Bolognese, Fettuccine Mushroom Ragu, and a Chopped Salad. The fettuccine was a large portion and the creamy mushroom sauce was very good. The Cappelletti portion was meager in comparison, about 1/3 the size of the fettuccine. The pasta was like a tortelloni with the meat sauce stuffed inside. It was good but it great. The veal Parmesan was a bone-in veal chop with cheese on it which was totally not what we were expecting and would not have ordered had we known. Even worse was the chicken which was a tiny half with bones and so salty it was inedible. The texture was rubbery and slimy with tendons and cartilage.....gross. I thought this dish was going to be chicken breast cutlets with a lemon sauce. The menu needs to have descriptions of the dishes if they are so far removed from the norm. The veal was an unjustifiable $51. The chicken was $32 thrown away. I couldn't even give it to the dogs because of the level of salt! The bill, to which we added a 20% tip, came to around $200. Extremely disappointed in our experience last night. When we sat down we waited 20 minutes for our drinks to arrive. Our server did not check on us once during this time. I flagged down the host to check on our drinks for us. By the time our drinks came we were not even in the mood for appetizers so we ordered main courses. It took over an hour for our food to be deliverers and during that time frame our server only checked on us one. We were there celebrating my mother birthday and I felt so embarrassed that I chose to go to take her here. The only reason I am giving this two stars versus 1 is that the food was very good. Hands down one of the best dining experiences I have ever had! We came for our anniversary and it was outstanding! From the wine to the dessert, everything was perfect. The baked clams were hot and flavorful, the rigatoni a la vodka was light, not too heavy and had a bit of a kick to it. Our main dish was the veal chop Marsala which was sous vide and melted in your mouth. We finished with the carrot cake. Best cream cheese frosting! Great atmosphere, this is a cool little spot. I enjoyed the vibes inside. The food was good. With what I ordered I was most impressed with the calamari, Rigatoni alla Vodka, and salads. The Veal Parmesan was good, be prepared for a big piece. The tenderloin was ok, but lacked flavor and heat (temperature), along with the sauce that was on it. Also not sure if the kitchen was poorly staffed that night but it took a pretty long time for each course to come out being the restaurant wasn't busy. Waitstaff could've been a little more attentive towards the end of the meal, were left to dry on refills of our drinks and did not get a setup for desert until after it was dropped at the table. We were really disappointed in our last visit to Fachini - this is not the same Fachini I am used to from my past experiences here. The food quality and service have gone down tremendously and was not the experience I was expecting to celebrate my anniversary. Yes, I understand restaurants have all been effected by the pandemic, but at this price point to not have your act together is unacceptable. To start, the waiter was extremely rude from the beginning. He was the opposite of attentive or accommodating and questioned our orders as if we were in the wrong for wanting drinks and food. His attitude was very poor so by Mid-meal we actually asked for a new waiter. Now to the food, I ordered the spicy rigatoni as I have always ordered but this time the pasta was over cooked and the temperature was cold. I alerted the manager who agreed that the food didn't look right and took it back. 15 minutes later a new rigatoni was brought out - temp was better but the pasta was once again over cooked. We were ready to go and end the night here and asked for the bill. For all of our trouble with the waiter and the food I was surprised not one item was credited to us... With that being said I will not be returning and will be looking for a new high-end Italian restaurant who values quality and customer service. Celebrated our first anniversary here this evening. Everything was top notch. Service, ambiance, food, and drink. The 100 layer lasagna was fantastic. My only very minor suggestion... we initially made the reservation for tomorrow night (our actual anniversary) they called us in advance to notify us that the restaurant was booked for a private party that evening and they could offer us one night earlier or a spot at Nonna instead. We elected the earlier night. Making note of that and the fact that it was our anniversary, I expected something to acknowledge that, maybe a dessert or round of cocktails but nothing was offered. No big deal but having been in the hospitality industry, being a fine dining establishment like this I would expect something of that nature.
