I can't say enough how much I love Falora! The food is tremendous- wood-fired brick oven pizza, artisan salads with local veggies, and Panna Cotta that will knock your socks off. It's got a funky downtown vibe but is conveniently located in mid-town- what sorcery be this? They give you a discount if you walk or ride your bike, and if you bring a vinyl album along they'll play it on their cool-as-hell vintage hi-fi while you eat. Yes, at Falora YOU are the DJ! So unexpected and wonderful. Small place with common table setting and only a very few individual tables. But the Pizza was very good and the the feel of the place was nice. We split the CousCous salad and it was so light and flavorful I wanted to stop there to order another. Service was efficient for such a small place. I love the concept, interior, and setup. I like the food. I do not like, however, the service. I dined at Falora twice in one week-first for lunch and the second time for dinner. The first time was a great experience; I thought the pizza was solid and the salads were very good. On this visit service was very good. I returned a few days later for dinner and brought some friends after I spoke so highly of my first visit. Mistake. Our service was HORRIBLE. I wish we got her name. Little blonde server, you ruined my night. Her attitude made it hard to enjoy my meal. The food was good, not great, but good. I would rate the food a solid 3 but the service was a 4 for the first time and a -10 the second. I don't know if I will ever return. read more

Falora is one of our favorite places for pizza in Tucson. We appreciate the simplicity of the menu as this place knows what it does well. Of the appetizer, salads and pizzas, my favorite is the Cura with sopressata, garlic, tomatoes, mozzarella and parmigiana.. Great selection of wines, too. We enjoy sitting out on the patio and our well-behaved small dog has always been welcomed warmly! Ari, the owner, is frequently on hand to greet his guests and ask about dinner. No high chairs. Let me just say it again...no high chairs. If you need a high chair, go elsewhere. Very tasty toppings. The mozzarella and red sauce were spot-on, but the crust...not chewy enough. Falora calls itself Neapolitan. I've had Neapolitan pizza in New York, Philly, DC, Italy. This is not a Neapolitan crust. It must be soft and chewy not tough and crunchy. Great place, but... NOT KID FRIENDLY!!! Took my 6 and 8 year olds there and, as much as the staff tried to make them feel welcomed, my kids simply were to immature to enjoy the experience. Speaking of experiences this was a neat little place to dine. Very cool to sit at the counter and talk to the chef/owner while he made some amazing pizza that can legitimately be called works of art. The lady making the salads put an incredible amount of effort/energy making every dish look picture ready, they were delicious as well. I'm sure kids would be more at home here if you eat outside or come early instead of dinner hours. Would definitely be back if I lived in town. I've been eating at Falora for over 6 months now and I can't believe I'm just now getting around to giving it a 5 star review! I love every little thing about this place-from the artfully decorated (and insanely delicious) pizzas to the (equally delicious) farm-to-table-fresh salads to the vinyl playing in the background and even how perfectly placed each wine bottle is. From the moment you step through the door until the last bite of dessert (the panna cotta is a must!!) you are well aware of all the love and hard work that Ari and his team put into every little detail of Falora. "Good things come to those who wait" could not be more true for Falora on a busy night. I've been there when the pizza has taken less than 5 minutes to come out and I have been there when it has taken over 30 minutes. The 30 minute situation was on a Friday at 7 pm and we spent that wait time (thanks to the beautiful open kitchen) watching Ari and the lovely salad gal working very hard to feed a full restaurant. Ari only looking up from his pizzas to say hello to new guests, regulars and friends/family. On any given night there is only one pizzaola and one salad maker so definitely plan ahead and enjoy a salad and a cocktail or glass of wine while you're waiting for your pizza. The staff was super nice! A friend and I went and brought a couple records to play while we ate. They gladly played what I brought and told me they love when people bring their own vinyl to play in the restaurant. I will say that it has a slightly upscale feel and I felt underdressed... Recently I went to Arizona for the first time and under recommendation of a colleague chose to dine at Falora one evening in early March. I found the decor and environment of this establishment to be where unique and classy meet charming and comfortable. The staff was incredibly welcoming and friendly. One particular server, Nick, demonstrated outstanding service and self efficacy in the duration for which I was able to observe. The food was wonderful. The artisan pizza and salads were not only aesthetically pleasing, but the taste sublime. I was able to watch one of the chefs, Sarah, put together some of these elaborate and tasteful creations and was impressed by this young woman's recognizable and distinctive talent. I really want to love everything in the Broadway village. It is a really convenient location and a stylish setting for this part of town. I am really excited that they added the sidecar bar to the center. It has a great neighborhood feel. The food at Falora and Sushi Garden is just average. Nothing wrong with it, but not a culinary masterpiece. My wife really likes the Kale Salad. I enjoyed it about as much as a dude can enjoy a Kale Salad, but it has a low ceiling. My boyfriend and I had our first date and subsequently one year anniversary dinner here. I love the intimate atmosphere (make a reservation for a Friday or Saturday night!), the great service and the quality of the food. I appreciate there is a special pizza and a special salad daily, depending on what the chef wants to make. The wines on the menu you won't find anywhere and are reasonably priced (between $25-$50). It is nice that there is an outdoor patio too, for the beautiful spring, summer and fall nights in Tucson. read more

This place is a.m.a.z.i.n.g! Lets start with interior. Falora is a very clean, simplistic, small space. Falora doesn't need all the decorations because they let the food do the talking and boy does the food talk! First off the kale salad is legit and the girl putting it together really takes her time to make it art in a bowl. The dressing was light and flavorful and the kale was super fresh. Perfection! The pizza, well what can you say except I want more! The crust was a little charred in the 700° wood fired oven, the toppings are so fresh it's as if they went to the garden right then and put magic on the pizza. I am a huge fan and when I'm craving a wood fired pizza, Falora is it. Oh, and a shout out to the owner, Antone (sp). He was gracious, entertaining and welcoming. Horrendous and disrespectful service. We walked in at a time where the restaurant was plentifully staffed, waited over one hour for two regular pizzas (was not even once informed by the many waiters we asked of the long wait time, or apologized to until we received the bill). This was even after two of our guests who had a three hour drive to make after got up and left because it was taking too long. (Still no apology even after this). Water was not even filled for 55 minutes, and they were all too busy watching the football game in the back to care. read more

So I've been meaning to come try this place since it was recommended to me by multiple clients of mine. One of which is from Italy and said this is the closest to authentic Italian pizza in Tucson. I'm from NY so when I hear authentic good pizza, I'm there! They aren't open til late afternoon which sucks for me since I live in the north side and it's hard for me to come back to this side of town. We ordered the caprese and margherita pizza with iced chai tea. The other antipizza option was this zucchini noodle option which I wish I tried because the caprese was simply ok. It needed something like more balsamic vinegar or garlic? And maybe to be served with some bread would of been nice. The mozzarella and tomato was super fresh which I loved. Now the pizza...it is thin. Thinnest I've ever had(not sure if this is good or bad) and it did make it harder to pick up and eat. The sauce lacked the slight sweetness I'm use to. It was more sour and salty but after the initial first bite, it tasted pretty good together. Now the dough, oh man it is the best pizza dough I've ever had! Honestly, I could just eat the crust like breadsticks. I wish they had more meat items on the menu because it was unexpected for a pizza place. I also, should of checked the menu before I came but the only thing that had meat was a salmon with capers pizza that I was too intimidated to try, especially for my first Falora experience. All-in-all, I will come back for the pizza and maybe try a salad next time. read more

My review would have been five stars, but they quit serving pizza at Sunday brunch. So at Sunday brunch you can get salads and bread... I was totally bummed. The cura pizza is my favorite pizza in the world and my mouth was watering thinking about those whole garlic cloves and kalamata olives and the soppresata. My husband and I went her for our anniversary and had the Cesar salad and a pizza! My stomach is sensitive to gluten (well my whole body hates it) but they assured us that this flour from Italy was low in gluten and a lot of people with allergies or sensitivities aren't AS affected by it. So we took a gamble. The Cesar salad was very salty and we really didn't like it, couldn't finish it..although the pizza was lovely and we have heard some even getter things about their coffee & desserts! This is one of my favorite restaurants in town. I've had the margherita, pesto, and marinara pizzas. All great though I think the pesto is the best. The Marfa salad changes from week to week and even if it doesn't sound delicious to me (I'm not very adventurous), I still order it and it is always really tasty. The wine is excellent and pretty affordable. Something you shouldn't miss is the bread - it's not just left over pizza dough and is the best bread I've ever had, and that's saying something because I love bread. The panna cotta is good and is just the right size to share. Service is always excellent and very friendly without being intrusive. Plus Falora is open on Sunday nights even in the dead of summer, which is rare for Tucson. I love this restaurant and highly recommend it. read more
