I have ordered from here a numerous times in the recent past. Smoked Turkey Breast, Engineer, Spicy Cajun Chicken, Grilled Chicken Breast, Veggie and one of the seasonal veggie sandwich on their menu. I always try to pick couple of subs from these. Size options are : small, medium and large and bread choices: white and wheat. My favorites are Engineer and Spicy Cajun Chicken. Both of them are delicious. I love the sauces used for these subs. I order either online or in-store. Online is super convenient if you are sure what you want to order. In any dilemma, I order in store. Staffs are super friendly and helpful. Even if there's a line behind you, they will take time to answer your question and help you make the right choices. Just like their name, the whole shop is Firehouse themed. You can see a lot of paintings and picture of firehouse, equipment and vehicles in the shop. A lot of information is on the display which will give you a fair idea about how they give back to the local community and how involved they are with different activities around. It's always nice to see that. (I have added some pictures of those here). Despite being in a big complex, parking is sometimes an issue. They are following all COVID Protocols. Last time I was there, they haven't started the in-door dining. There's only one veggie option available. That's a bummer. Also it's veggies and sauces on bread, not even a patty. If they can add some veggie options, it would be even better. Nevertheless, I love this place. Due to my dietary choices, I have only a limited options here, but love the subs. It's fresh and hot. Nice atmosphere to sit and relax. I like all of the fireman decorations. Good tasting sandwtich but the small size might be too small for the average person. Ordered the medium turkey, ham and cheese with no bacon. Flavorful with a warm toasty bun, fresh lettuce and tomato. I noticed a variety of sauces to put on the sandwich, I thought I saw some skull and cross bones on the hotter sauces. Large assortment of sandwiches, I saw a brisket that looked appetizing. The hubby was in the mood for an Italian sub and Firehouse Subs looked like the perfect place to get one. We walked into a large establishment that was quite empty for a Saturday night. It was certainly a place that could accommodate a large number of people and we certainly enjoyed all of the firehouse paraphernalia that added personality to the gigantic space. The menu is simple to read and offers a wide selection of subs that are loaded with lots of meat and toppings. While the hubby chose the Italian sub on white bread, I decided to try their new cajun chicken sub on whole wheat. Our biggest complaint of all was the horrendously slow service. Taking over 20 minutes to make two sandwiches was ridiculous and the fact that there was no one ahead of us only exacerbated our mood. Despite the wait, the hubby and I still enjoyed our sandwiches. The hubby liked how well the meat was layered in his sandwich and the variety that was offered like salami, pepperoni, and ham. The Italian seasoning was perfect and the bread was toasted well. I also liked the cajun spices in mine, especially the addition of the little hot peppers. While the chicken was flavored well, it definitely veered towards the drier side. Overall, Firehouse Subs was average. Prices aren't necessarily cheap, but you do get a decent sized sandwich. As I went fire house, subs again today, the turkey and cheddar on white with no mayo and yellow mustard was to die for but I used my rewards and they say that the rewards are now going up and your 8000 rewards points are no longer going to be able to get you a medium turkey sub it's now going to be 12,000 points 8000 will only get you a small sub no longer 6000 points so now you have to have 12,000 points to get a turkey and cheddar medium sub and that sucks because I'm used to the 8000 points and not the 12,000 points because that's a lot of points to just get a medium sub . So my 8000 sub medium turkey sandwich now is 12,000 points and that's a lot of points to get a medium sub so now I have to get over that that sucks. read more

Free birthday medium pastrami sandwich. It was good but was underwhelmed with portion size, taste and expensive price point. The regular price is $9.20. Glad I got it for free for my birthday through the app. They do have a variety of sauces and they were selling 5 gallon buckets of pickles. Over all the sandwich tasted ok. We were not aware that we had a Firehouse Subs in the area until we got a T-Mobile Tuesday offer. I looked up the place and was surprised to find out that we have one in Fremont. Their location was so easy to find. It's right across from Costco on Automall. It's in the same parking area as Total Wine and it's right next to 85 Degrees bakery. There's a lot of parking spot in the area. The male cashier that we got is very friendly and the workers looks very busy behind the long counter. We ordered 2 of the Hook & Ladder and New York Steamer both in Medium-sized. The New York Steamer came out to $10.99 for a medium. The Hook & Ladder came with a size of pickle and a lot of shredded lettuce and the NY Steamer did not have any pickles or lettuce. They show you a visual of what the small, medium and large subs look like but the medium they showed us didn't look that big but when we got it, it was a lot bigger than we thought. It's a little pricey as compared to Subway but it looks like it supports firefighters in the area. Both sandwiches were very good but I do like the NY Steamer a lot more. I noticed they have veggie only subs as well. Currently, it doesn't look like they are reusing trays for dine-in customers, maybe due to COVID, since all the orders are brought out in paper bags whether you are eating in our out. The place is very clean and I like the firehouse-themed ambiance of the place. There's a lot of red and white everywhere and I like how they have outdoor seating as well. They have a couple of tables outside. They also have a couple of those nice soda machines where you can pick all sorts of different drink combinations. There's around 6 sets of regular-sized tables and another 6 sets of higher-sized tables inside. The place looks like it can get really packed specially on the Saturday afternoon that we dined in. They also have a nice offer where they sell huge $3 empty buckets that their pickles came in. These 5 gallon, food-grade buckets that can be reused to store all kinds of items like grain for the preppers. It's a good way to recycle as well. I definitely got one. It does need to still get washed on the inside as there's still leftover pickle juice on the one that I got. It also supports first responders and public safety organizations when you buy the empty buckets. For some weird reason, our Wifi on all of our phones weren't working inside their location but it worked once we drove away from the parking lot. This is a very nice shop and their food is very good. We would definitely would like to try some of their other sammies in the near future. read more

Horrible sandwich. They don't deserve to be called "subs". All the ingredients are average at best. If you want a decent "sub" find a Jersey Mikes. Firehouse has a very bready roll that is tasteless. The meat is pre sliced so not fresh at all. Worst of all, no oregano!? Can't make an Italian sub without oregano! Never again. read more

My new favorite sub spot. A large is large enough for me to split between meals (lunch and dinner or dinner and breakfast the next day ) and still be satisfied. My teens can easily share a large pastrami (can't remember what they name it because hubs always orders for us). I've got the medium meatball sub which I devoured on my first visit. Today for the hook and ladder which was just as good - though they only have the option of small or medium with that particular sandwich; wish they had it in a large however I still have half of that medium for later so maybe it's not a bad thing. Out door seating available, soda fountains not accessible to customers due to COVID restrictions so staff fills your cup for you. Hand sanitizer available at register and by the doors. I've been lucky that they have not been busy the times I've gone (getting there just before or after lunch rushes) so cannot speak to occupancy capacity. At this point in restrictions I think people are more self aware of distancing themselves without having to be monitored by staff to spread apart. read more

Firehouse Subs makes my stomach happy. The sandwiches are well balanced in both flavor and size. Just the right amount of everything but still messy. I never feel like I ate way to much. This location is super convenient if you happen to shopping in the area, that would be almost the only reason you would be in the area. I'm picky about my sandwiches, this place solves my hunger issues and as much as I hate to admit this, it's on my top 10 in this neighborhood. It's a franchise and I love original mom and pops over a franchise any day. To be fair this place does a 5 star job as far as service. The staff seems to be happy and attentive every time I'm there. Just an FYI, you can buy buckets here. They sell the pickle buckets when they are done with them. Started in Florida and there are over 1000 nation wide. read more

This place is not bad at all! In fact I find this more tasty than Togo's and Subway and love the options they have for their meals. Even more, I dig the Firehouse look as you don't see this kind of decor much when you go out and dine. Terrible service, a few of us in the office ordered food and I bought a drink, when a coworker went to pick up the orders he was never given my drink. No biggie, I called them and let them know they left out my drink and asked for a resolution, the manager on the call simply told me to call back the next time I wanted to order and they'd offer me a free sandwich to make up for the inconvenience.."great service!" I thought...I asked what I'd need to do to secure that and he said simply call in, I asked if I needed to use his name and he said "no, just ask for any manager." That was March 8th. So today, March 23rd I call to get my free sandwich, and the manager says they would never say that and they don't give out free sandwiches, and I need some sort of paperwork stating that they offered that to me. I explain the situation and ask for the the store supervisor, she tells me the same thing and that there is nothing they can do for me, and that she trains all the staff there and that they have protocols and that it's basically my fault this happened. The solution is I get nothing, wow really great service guys, then at one point she calls me dishonest like I'm going through all this to steal from them, really?? I vowed to never eat here again and hung up the phone, I have had this experience with Chipotle so many times (for example) and they have always handled it perfectly. Buyer beware. read more

Got 2 subs: a large firehouse hero $11.29, and a capt. sorensen's datil pepper grilled chicken - $6.79. The sauce was probably the best part of the chicken sub. It was super tiny, but it was my fault for ordering a "500 and under" sub. It shouldn't even be called a sub, it's literally the size of a hamburger bun. I was in a rush, so I didn't realize it would be nearly $7! Definitely not worth it. For a few dollars more, the large sized firehouse hero was a better value. More meat, and decently sized (that's what she said, lol). You can download their app & sign up for their rewards to receive a free large drink. Their app was malfunctioning at the time, so we had to sign up via their website. Overall, they have a great selection of subs. Just stay away from the "500 and under" 'subs'. Short Story: A somewhat average place for subs...but much better than Safeway! Long Story: I came here on a Saturday morning and there were not too many people. We were greeted by a shoutout at the door and then saw the large signs near the cash register where we would order our food. The menu takes a minute to go through everything, but it is simple. You have your favorites and then sandwiches and your choice of bread. You also can choose to get it fully involved. There are also two freestyle Coca-Cola machines that can create over 100 different styles of soda! You can also add on chips and drink for $2 or $3 more. I got the hook and ladder (without mayo) and the total came out to be about $12. I didn't like it so much...but maybe I just got the wrong sub. I've been to firehouse subs a handful of times, and it's definitely worth writing home about. They only have one vegetarian catered sandwich- and what's cool, is it doesn't contain just avocado and cheese but has the option of mushrooms for a meat replacement! It's one of the most filling sandwiches I've had being packed full of veggies, and with toasted bread? It's an even better sub. The bread here is a real treat, I don't know if it's made in house, or if it's distributed from elsewhere, but it's the best tasting baguette I've had, and it tastes like NO other sandwich chain's. An extremely unique flavor! The vegetarian sub is perfect as it is, but the cashier usually offers the option to remove mushrooms (assuming it's a common request) but if you like or don't mind mushrooms, this sandwich is perfect with no substitutions. The mushrooms aren't too flavorful, but the chewy texture adds a more filling experience with the sandwich. The interior of Firehouse subs has a true to name theme, and an even better array of hot sauces to try at your own discretion! I've come on a very empty night, and even a busier lunchtime, and I've had a perfectly made hot sandwich both times. I may decide to build my own sub in the future, but the creators and tasters at firehouse certainly have some great recommendations on the menu! read more

This is one of my favorite sandwich shop. They have variety choices for veggies and add-on. Their sandwiches are packed with quality meats, just a little bit expensive. A large sub is 11.89, but this sub can feed 2 people :) I always ordered cheese steak witch extra sautéed onion and meatballs with sweet and spicy sauce. Still hungry after eating a hot dog and burger at Dog Haus I was craving for a sub sandwich and why not here rather than Subway or Togos. Only a handful of customers and the girl at the counter was polite and very fast with the orders. I order a Hook and Ladder small sub for $3.99 smoked turkey breast, Virginia honey ham with lettuces and onions hold on the tomatoes and mayonnaise. Must say it wasn't so bad. These subs are pretty damn good. Make sure you get your warmed up. The first thing that hits you when you walk in the door here is the small of something cooking and it's smells good. At that point your nose says "hello" as your stomach wakes up. Let me warm you first. You will struggle with the menu. Not in a bad way. I mean, you stomach will agree with almost everything as you eyes make like a few other thing. Decisions, decisions. You will be looking for a place to take a nap, while your stomach applauds you for choosing this establishment. You will be back for sure cause you will tell someone and have to take them there too. I've always came in here for dinner, but I decided to come in here for lunch one day. Boy was I surprised. The lunch items were surprisingly much different than the dinner selections but there were also a few from the dinner menu. The selection was great in terms of different combinations.
