I have been to several locations around the Bay Area to have a burger at Five Guys. The nice thing to know about these places they are all about the same, which if you are looking for a consistency in a place, they do have it. We were on our way to Sacramanto and looking for a place to eat after sitting in traffic for a couple of hours, they was the decision of the group to stop here and eat before we had to be back on the road for another hour of so. They have a good quality burger at a good price. The fries are very good, and they make sure you have plenty of them to make sure you are not hungry when you are done. You get what you want on your burger, all you have to do is know exactly what you want when you are there, if you are just standing here in line looking over the menu for what you want on your burger and then holding the line up, move aside. The staff is very friendly and they are smiling no matter what job they are doing, I have seen the staff member smiling while cleaning the tables, so that to me means they are at least enjoying their job. I have not had a bad experience here and I have enjoy my dinning experience with Five Guys. read more

Five guys may be considered great by many, but they aren't that great... 1. Went several times to order burgers with bacon and they were always out...really at the beginning of dinner? The cashiers didn't know but managers did. They turn around and blamed the cashiers. 2. Same with their bacon dogs. 3. Management is lousy they pass the buck to the employees. Really, who is in charge of ordering supplies and making sure you have enough bacon cooked for the day or patties. Yeah thats right they ran out of hamburger patties...unbelievable. 4. They have so many workers they are running into each other. Keystone cops comes to mind. 5. Their fries are good and their drink selection is good but that's it. All in all I expect a major management change with the year and if that doesn't fix their issues, I expect them to close. To bad because the kids need to have jobs but they deserve better from this place. Well been by there since the original review during Friday and Saturday dinner times. This is a great Five Guys location. The place was packed on opening day when I went around 3:30 in the afternoon (this was on New Year's Eve). Going there with my niece and nephews (5 people counting me) was not exactly cheap like McDonald's. The food cost about $55 for the 5 of us. The burgers were excellent and cooked with the toppings (which they have about 20 to choose from that are included in the cost of the burger, plus cheese and a very crispy bacon). The fries were excellent as well. Some words of advice (if nothing else to keep your meal's finances down): 1) A large fry will easily feed 2-3 people (adults or teenagers). The fries do cost about $5 for the large, but the size is equivalent to about 3-4 large fries at McDonald's or Burger King. If you are going solo or have small children, they have the "little fry" (at about $2.50) which is the size of a large fry at a standard fast food chain. 2) Burgers are about $6-7 for the bigger ones (in between 1/3 to 1/2 a pound of meat). If you do not have a bigger appetite, a smaller burger (about 1/4 pound) is available for approximately $4 to $5. The same toppings are available and included in the burger's cost with the smaller burger. 3) It is not In-n-Out. There is no animal style fries, no 4X4, etc. However, they have the Coca-Cola Freestyle Machines (about 100 different sodas, same as Burger King in the same plaza). They have also taken a page out of the Texas Roadhouse playbook (since they offer unlimited peanuts). Unlike Texas Roadhouse, they actually seem to sweep up the peanuts and provide cardboard boats to help with the mess. 4) There are NO Happy Meals here. However, you could always split the small burger and small fries with 2 smaller children. Most importantly, the place had excellent service and cleanliness. I'm a burger fan, should be evident by my waistline and reviews. One thing I know I don't like about burgers are when they're over-greasy, over-cooked and over-hyped. Five Guys are none of those things. The Tracy location had been open for a few weeks so we decided to give them a try. Walking in I was hoping that they'd already worked out the kinks and by the looks of their behind-the counter efficiencies, they did. Unlike In-N-Out, they lay their whole menu out with topping options I'm pretty sure trumps the popular fast food chain. Feeling gluttonous, I almost went for the Bacon Cheeseburger but left off the bacon because we all know that makes such a big difference right? To accompany the grilled heifer, I opted for a side of fries. I got way too large of a size thinking the small wouldn't have been enough. The size I got feeds 2-3 people so I tried to share with my crew however they made similar mistakes. The burger was juicy, flavorful and I was a happy camper with the mayo, lettuce and grilled onions I chose as toppings. The fries weren't so great after I learned they're cooked in peanut oil. When I think peanut oil, I think Deep South and the health problems that come with eating that food day in and day out. Sure I just had a burger but it's not a part of my daily diet. Yes, i'm the weird guy that goes to Five Guys and has a hot dog instead of a burger. Personally, I've never found Five Guys' burgers to be all that great, especially for the price. Likewise with their soggy fries. But their dogs... mmmmm. Split-grilled and topped with bacon, cheese, and grilled onions? GIMME. First time trying this place tonight. First off ordering was a little confusing, but the cashier was nice & quick to explain what's up with their system. We where 4 people so we got 4 burgers with 1 Large Fries. Fries where more then enough for us all to share! Fries where also VERY Tasty! Not too crispy or soggy. I do not know what is up with the Tracy location Sense they have opened I have given them a try 8 time and Everytime they are not good waset of my money. someone needs to go out there and try the burgers. they are so dried out they need to teach them how to cook they squeeze all the juice out of the burgers by putting the press on them and pushing down on them while they are cooking ,they are not good. The meat is good of quality but it has no flavor at all. And the prices are out if line in this location to expensive. The burgers are deicious! They are pricey, but worth it! The only gripe I have is with the "waiting area" or lack of, should I say. When it gets busy, and it does, there is nowhere to wait for your order and the place is set up like a maze with stacks of potatoes and tables running through the middle of the restaurant so you can't get to the counter easily when your order is called unless your standing right in front and totally in the way. Came in last Sunday for lunch, got the usual - bacon burger, fries, and a drink. The last time I ate here I mentioned that I had soggy fries, well this time my fries were perfect. There was A LOT more of it too than I expected with the small size. So much were I had to throw it away because I couldn't finish it. There needs to be a half size fries for the single eaters, hehe! Yikes. My daughter and I went here to eat the other day and I still can't believe how bad the service was. It took about 8 minutes to get the employee to understand that I didn't want meat on my hamburger, I get this is a strange request, but just make the freaking hamburger and don't put a patty on it! He could not get it, finally I said just make it and I'll take the burger off. So then he tried to sell me the veggie sandwich. That's not what I want! I want allllll the stuff that goes on the burger but no meat. Charge me for the whole burger just don't put the meat on! Or you know what put the meat on and I will remove it when I get to the table. Not even remotely edible. First off I order a BLT, and the girl looks at me completely serious and advises me that that doesn't have any meat on it. After clarifying it did include bacon, and her clarifying yes it does, but no meat... I should have left. Turns out she was right. That was not meat. I'm so excited, I pull off a piece of bacon to try and pop it in my mouth, and promptly have to spit it back out. It was dry and greasy all at the same time, and did not taste even a little like bacon. I thought maybe it was just me, so I have my fiancé try a piece. NOPE. Not edible. I called ahead, we picked up food and when we got home to eat..the entire order was wrong (everything we paid extra for, we didn't get). I called Five guys and they said I would receive my food for free the next time I went. So we went back a few days later got our meal. The large fries really are large, the peanuts super delicious and FREE (that makes my Asian heart jump for joy), and the service was super friendly. Shout out to Jonathan, super friendly and super happy while ringing us up on the register, good job management team, he made my day. I have eaten at other Five Guys locations and they were fine. This was my first visit at the Tracy location. Did not seem to be up to the normal standard seen at other locations. The time of my visit was about 3:15 PM on Sunday, March 31, 2019. There were two staff members working at the time. Ordered a cheese burger all the way and a regular fries. Planned on eating at one of the outdoor tables as it was a nice sunny day, so had my own water for a beverage and did not partake of the store beverage selection. My order took a while to come up, although the restaurant was not very busy. The cook came out of the back with a big tray of raw hamburger pattys, before my order was prepared. I watched the cook as he pulled the basket of fries out of the fryer, shook off some excess oil and put them in the fries bin. There were some old fries on the edge of the bin and these were moved into the bin with the fresh fries. Salt was applied to the fries and then the fries were tossed to mix the salted, unsalted and stale fries together. Unknown how much fries were left, in the bin, from earlier when the fresh fries were added to the bin. Took my order to the outdoor table and proceeded to eat my order. The fries were very overdone, tasted stale, greasy and like the fryer oil needed changing. The burger was OK, but I've had better meals at other Five Guys locations. There was also a big splat of ketchup on the floor in front of one of the trash cans. Looks like that had been there for a while... I will eat at Five Guys again, but not for a while and definitely not at the Tracy location. read more
