I had the Hawaiian burger and fell it was at best - OK. The Meat was really cooked - way to much and thus was dry. Also you do not get a pineapple ring that would cover the burger - just a few pieces of pineapple chunks - did not do much to help the dryness. Okay so we ordered from here last night via Door Dash. Food was pricey, but we're kind of use to the higher prices that come with the delivery app. Food was also damn near cold, I HOPE that isn't the restaurant's fault. I'm going to give them the benefit of the doubt (and 2 stars versus 1) and say that was just bad timing and not being able to find a driver to get us our stuff sooner. The food itself though. Meh. So we tried a little bit of everything. The frozen in a bag onion rings tasted like the assembly line they likely came off of. The chicken nuggets were over fried to the point of being near jerky. The fried zucchini got the same fate. The kid loved them though, mind you he is 2 and will basically eat anything we put in front of him. The wife got a sourdough burger, visually it looked solid but it just tasted like left out sadness. My BBQ burger was alright, well the one bite that seemed like it had BBQ sauce on it at least. The rest just shared the same fate like her burger. The crinkle cut frozen fries. Meh. The curly fries? Meh. Especially since somebody took all the curly and gave me a bag full of the depressing non curly pieces. Just one big bag of expensive meh. This place is not too far from my house. I've passed by several times and the other day my kids and I wanted burgers and fries. The inside is small, but clean. You can see them cooking the food unlike most places where they cook the food in the back out of site. The woman behind the counter was sweet and had great customer service. The pricing was a lot less than most places which explains the low quality of their food. I ordered 2 burger specials which came with fries and a drink and also the chicken burger special. My total was right under $20. I was not happy with key meal. What I expected to be a real piece of chicken, was a cheap frozen processed patty. The burgers were overcooked and burned around the edges. The fries were little, almost as if they were from the bottom of the bag. This little hole in the wall is a treasure! My husband and I drove by it for years and never thought of going... And then we did. Oh my, do they have great food for great prices. Everything from regular 1/4 burgers to CA burgers to popcorn shrimp to hotdogs to fried mushrooms (oh my gosh!), they have something for everyone. Three different types of fish and chips, so many burger combos, daily specials, handmade shakes. And their service is great! It took two trips and they remembered our names. This spot has been a few burger joints recently, some better than others, but I am happy to announce that it is back and better than ever. The people running this one are from a Herfy's in Kent (which is why they have a Herfy's award of some kind in this store, a bit confusing at first) and have over 20 years of experience. Basically, this is an above average Herfy's now. If you were disappointed by "Burger Plus" (the last burger joint in this location) give "Flame Burgers" a try, it's way better and way more consistent. read more

I live approximately 2 minutes away from this burger joint so i am here quite often. When you first walk in, it is very clean and somewhat organized. The restroom however could use a bit more cleaning but it is not terrible. The costumer service is poor. The owners (the asian) are not too big on english (to my knowledge) and are also not too bright when it comes to common manners. They ask you what you want and ring up your total. The pricing of the food is not ridiculously high but they have a lot of little extra charges (ect. 35 cents for extra sauce). Back to customer service! They recently hired two new employees that are pretty friendly and have great manners. The wait on the food is anything from 5-10 minutes. Once youre food is finished, if you ordered it to stay instead of to go they toss your food on the table without any acknowledgement. All in all i enjoy this place mostly because i live very close to it; but if i had a 10-15 commute, i would not come here often. Great food! Bad customer service. read more

With that being said this review does not represent the wonderful friendly people who work here. The crinkle cut fries were a pleasant surprise from the mundane straight fries most other places tend to bore me with. Those wavy suckers always hold the fry sauce better. But the chicken burger could use some help. It was too plain. A mashed flat chicken breast with no flair. Call me crazy but I like my breasts to be big, juicy, and firm. The toppings were generic at best. It lacked the wow factor I like to get from private ownership. But keep this in mind. Price...same as McDonald's Quality. ..McDonald's Service...sincere and polite If you prefer to be served by a pubescent teenage boy who only cares about the next opportunity to see a boob, then hit up a big chain. Found this place during a road trip up to Canada using my Yelp phone app. I knew I wanted a burger somewhere and this was the closest one that didn't require turning around...and it seemed to have favorable reviews. So my friend and i ventured off I-5 to get ourselves some much needed dinner. I was delighted with the experience! It's a small establishment, owned and ran by who I'm assuming is a married couple. It is just them in there, but they really seem to have a system down to keep things going! I can't recall anymore what my friend and I ordered but we gobbled down our burgers and fries and everything hit the spot. They say not to judge a book by its cover, and that would certainly be the case with Flame Burger (which our family calls "Chevron Burger" because yes, it's located right next to a Chevron gas station). This place may not look like much, but they offer some of the best fast food burger fare in all of Federal Way. My personal favorite is the Hawaiian Burger - topped with cheese, pineapple, and teriyaki sauce - it reminds me a lot of Red Robin's Bonsai Burger - and for less money. Make no mistake though, this is not necessarily a cheap eat if you have a family of four and everyone wants a milkshake (which are DELICIOUS). We've easily come out spending over $30 before. One tip to keep costs down - instead of opting for the burger baskets, buy your burgers a la carte and split an order of fries. The only reason I can't give this place a 5-star rating is the service is sometimes a bit snippy/lacking and the seating area isn't great. But then again, we usually get our order "to go" and bring it home or if it's nice - to a local park. Worth checking out if you've never been. read more
