    Dumpling Soup with Rice Cake

Great Korean restaurant! Came on a Friday night and the owner was super nice. It is a casual place and they had K-pop music playing. We got the corn cheese and dumpling soup with rice cake. I really loved their corn cheese as a corn cheese enthusiast and would definitely come again!

Great vibes and great food!! Got the Korean fried chicken and their soy garlic flavor was pretty good. Good taste and it had a good crunch to it. My only complaint is that I wish it came with rice and/or more banchan. There was only one server/cashier so please give them some grace. A lot of seating and they play a lot of kpop hits.

The food here was decent! My group's favorite was the crispy chicken wings, the sauce and texture all around was delicious. The fried rice and soft tofu stew was nothing special but still good. There was great service and the bonchon was also delicious!

This was a casual Korean restaurant. Food was pretty good with a nice amount of options to choose from. The server was pretty busy serving all the tables by herself, so you may have to get her attention, but that's okay. She was nice. * Crispy Wings 5/5 - I was debating between the flavored wings, but went with the classic Korean Fried Chicken. These were so good. They had a light, crispy exterior. The meat was so juicy and tender. There's also a spicy chili sauce on the side that may be the same sauce for the YangnYum Wings. It was okay. * Galbi 3.5/5 - The meat was well marinated. It was savory with a hint of sweetness. Quite tender also. The issue was that some pieces were burnt, giving a bad aftertaste. There wasn't that much either, so not sure if it was worth the price.

Customer service was exceptional. The new owner is super attentive and polite. We would definitely come back just for the service alone. The price is average Seattle price for eating out K-Pop music on the TV to entertain those eating alone. Portion was not huge but also not too little.

    Kimchi Fried Rice with Banchan

I visit the International District frequently, but I had never tried this restaurant before. The restaurant was clean a server brought water promptly. I ordered the kimchi fried rice. The dish came with 3 banchans, stir fried fish cake, shredded radish, braised potatoes. The stir fried fish cake had most heat and the braised potatoes had natural sweetness. The fried rice was flavorful and had chopped kimchi, fish sausages, green onions and was topped with a fried egg and seaweed. The portion was generous, I took the leftover home.

We came here on a thursday for dinner and there was just one other party inside. We ordered the soy garlic chicken wings, bulgogi, and corn cheese. This might just be one of my new favorite spots for KFC?!!! The chicken was super crispy on the outside and so tender on the inside. The soy garlic flavor was also delicious and very prominent. The bulgogi and corn cheese were standard but I have had better. The corn cheese was a little liquidy so it wasn't really sticking together. The waiter refilled our side dishes many times as well which was super sweet. I will definitely be back for the fried chicken!

We love a hardy, clean tasting chicken burger with a great, sweet bun and a generous amount of fries. The patty was wonderfully thick and cooked to perfection with that crispy outer layer that wasn't too greasy. The thick-cut fries were amazing too! I'd come back just to order a side of fries honestly! Their popcorn chicken was moist and flavorful. I tried the original and the sweet & spicy, both of which were fantastic. Happy to come back for more just to try the rest of their menu!

Delicious! Great service, fresh food, super close to the Light Rail Station, easy trip from Shoreline - we will be back!

Total Hidden Gem! We ducked into Gangnam Seattle after spotting fried chicken in the window--and WOW. Tiny place, one guy running the front, and hands down some of the best Korean fried chicken we've ever had. We tried wings, ramen, and a few chicken dishes--everything was fresh, crispy, flavorful, and seriously addictive. No misses. My husband hasn't stopped raving about it and already wants to go back. Don't walk--run. This spot is the real deal.

The owner is very funny and friendly. The food is very good, especially the chicken wing. I've been going here for years and the new owner definitely gives it a local hangout spot vibes.

Got the half spicy half normal and dusting of spice was perfect. The fact that this is gluten free (which is fantastic for all GF folks in our family) is even more Amazing how they got everything right with the crunch and flavor. Potato skins and garlic rice were good too, though less garlic would have been better. Could easily make this into a garlic egg fried rice and larger portions. The staff were super attentive and took time to explain everything to first time visitors. Steady stream of take out orders as seating is limited. Would come back to try the other sides too. Happy to report no reaction for gluten free member of our family, top marks for safety.

Our order was waiting for us and the front staffer was nice and friendly. The restaurant is spacious with a homey, kitschy vibe and the front wall of windows were wide open. On a hot summer day, this would be a nice, airy place to eat in. We might eat there next time. 10 minutes later we were home and looking forward to digging into our chicken! We split a Large Bag o' Bites which were crispy, savory, and delicious breaded chicken breast pieces. We also got the three piece combo: two drumsticks and a thigh. We got everything non-spicy and found it all to be delicious, moist, and crispy. I am especially grateful that Cookie's makes their fried chicken WITHOUT DAIRY since I have a hard time digesting milk protein. Thank you, Cookie's for a filling and delicious dinner of fried chicken. We will be back!

Cookie's was a let down, I'll start out with that. I had all the hope in the world that this place…read morewas going to wow me, but alas, it was not to be. I'll start with some positives: you can order directly on their website (as opposed to being forced to use some fee-heavy service like DoorDash), they're quick, and the Barn Burner sandwich was good. Now for the cons. Either they messed my order up or I was the fool here and screwed up when ordering online, but the four piece tendies I got were plain and utterly spice-less. Being a pepper head and spice fiend, this was a bummer, but it forced me to see that the chicken wasn't seasoned very well. Outright bland one might say. The chicken also had a kind of toughness to it. Not from being really dry or anything, but more from the raw cuts of meat not being trimmed correctly, like I was eating bits of tendon or something. Hey when I order tendies I thought that was cutesy-short for tenders not tendons! They weren't bad, but they were not very good either. The Barn Burner sandwich was decent though, and at a level three of spice, it had a nice heat. I'll give them another chance down the road, but ultimately, in a city that has so many great fried chicken options (Triangle Spirits, S/T Hooligans, and Sisters and Brothers), it's going to be hard to make the decision to choose them again after the meal I had.

It's actually worth bringing some friends so you don't get sad. In all seriousness, this is a place that I'm surprised I've never reviewed because I've had a solid experience here many times. It's also renowned across the city for its hot chicken prowess and dedication to the craft. I'll be straight up with you, there are better fried chicken places in Seattle. But there are only like 6 restaurants in Interbay, so it's worth stopping here if you're in the area to either hit golf balls or get a car wash. We decided to bring our book club here because we were reading Devil All The Time and this somehow seemed like an appropriate place to host a meeting. I always get the Seattle Hot, because my spice tolerance has greatly decreased with age (ever since my experience with hot chicken in Nashville which fully rotated my insides like a rotisserie chicken). Hot chicken is their expertise at S&B, so if you're up for the challenge they have some pretty spicy stuff. One of the attendees tried the level below reaper and said it was meant to be fed to babies, so try the reaper if you dare. The chicken itself is solid. The flavor doesn't blow you away, nothing is too dried out, but there isn't an explosive crunch either. On principle I am against a restaurant that charges for sauces, since there should at least be a few that come with your meal. Three tendies with no sauce at all is blasphemous. They really need a little something to take them to the next level, so you should order a couple of sauces in the side. I did thoroughly enjoy the bacon pieces that they added to my mac and cheese, these lil pork morsels were a delectable addition to the side dish. Overall an enjoyable experience every time I've come to S&B.

The employee I spoke with on the phone was incredibly kind, patient, and understanding throughout the whole situation. Huge shoutout to her for providing such excellent customer service! As for the food, I really enjoyed it! Everything arrived hot, fresh, and tasted wholesome. I tried the strawberry and mango lime juices--they were good, although not very sweet or flavorful. I'm guessing that's because they're made with less sugar. They also included a complimentary flan to make up for all the confusion, which was a very thoughtful gesture. Thank you!

Even the salsas did not help with the blandness. Now I usually get the 2 piece chicken meals. The bone in chicken has way more seasoning than the chicken they chop up & put into the bowls! Way more tasty. I've tried a few sides and the main sides I get is corn with flour tortillas. Now for the sides I don't like. The mac & cheese is terrible - tastes just like the type you would find in the Safeway or grocery store deli except with way more fake cheese. The mashed potatoes are meh - reminds me of kfc but worse. The rice is instant rice so there's that. I hope they change their rice to actual Mexican style rice one day. The churros are good! The service is friendly when there are actual adults there (weekdays during traditional work hours). On the weekends you'll likely be served by friendly Gen Z'ers (or younger) who are friendly to you but are goofing off and cursing with other fellow Gen Z'ers in between serving customers. Sigh.
