I used to love eating at Genghis Grill but after eating at this one, it has reaffirmed my suspicion that they seem to be going downhill from when they first opened. The table we were out at seemed like it was hastily cleaned. Definitely could've done a better job. There was only one waiter and unfortunately for him, there was a small rush when I showed up. He took his time going from one table to the next taking drinks orders and then finally came back around for food orders. The selection of food was decent although the broccoli and mushrooms could've been replaced. They looked like they had been out for awhile so I bypassed them. When the drinks and meal came, I noticed that our bowl was chipped, the cups were chipped. For the prices we are paying, surely they can keep up with their dishes and throw away anything that's broken. Overall, I was very disappointed and my daughter and I couldn't wait to get out of there. Sadly, that may have been my last visit to a Genghis Grill. Food is good I like ghengis grill. Nothing special though. Price was really high for the quality of food. The entire restaurant smells like sewer as soon as we stepped inside the whole place was generally kind of sticky and not very clean. Every plate we were served was broken or chipped in someway. I love Mongolian food, and for the most part, this place does not disappoint. They have gotten pretty expensive lately though, and for the money, I feel like it's not up to par. I didn't feel the place was as clean as it used to be, and the way you are served now changed a little as well from last time I was here. You walk in, they seat you first, then you wait for someone to come over and bring you a bowl. The person bringing the bowl has his hands all over your bowl, they you need to build your food and use that bowl. I'm pretty good at stuffing the food into my bowl, so I was able to build a nice sized meal. Once you stuff you bowl with meat and veggies, you drop it off to the stove and take a seat. There was nobody ahead of me, so my food should have come out pretty fast. After the gentleman cooked my meal, it sat for a bit, which freaks me out since I am very conscious of people breathing around my food. Overall, once the food arrived, it was delicious, and I left full and pleased. I just feel like a place like this should have all of the kinks ironed out by now. Will I return? Yes. i order a Med. bowl via Uber eats and paid over 25.00 10/18 and I didn't receive my bowl i order now did i receive my egg rolls.. So called the store on 1920 Eldorado pkwy McKinney Texas and Logan preceded to tell me his manger was on the grill but the general manager was on his honeymoon . Not mu business I just needed a refund that he promised 2 days ago and it the 20th and still can talk to the store manager due to him being on the grill. Asked for corporate he said well i can if i want to them just hung up in my face after he said they will contact me .. The young man that assisted us was excellent. However, the restaurant need to be inspected fast. We went to the meat section and it had a bad odor. It smelled like death and I explained this to my spouse. I could not tell if it was the chicken or seafood or both or the restaurant. We proceeded through the line, had the food cooked and ate. Hours later my spouse and I were fighting for the bathroom sick to our stomach. It lasted for two days. Mind you, we are in Allen due to a business conference! This location has taught us a valuable lesson. Stop eating out. Restaurants are not properly managed, hire young people that don't care just there for a check and management is either missing or too young to care what is going on. read more

I'm leaving five stars SPECIFICALLY for Yvette. We came in at 9pm because google said they closed at 10pm. We are fast eaters and knew we would be done well before then. When we arrived we saw a server we've had in the past and enjoyed; however, upon entering, he very harshly greeted us with "we're closing in 30 minutes", in a loud tone. We were very surprised as that had not been our experience with him before. We replied with "oh okay, we can always take it to go". He walked away and Yvette sat us and let us know that they DO in fact close at 10 and to take our time. She was very friendly and polite, and made sure we were attended to the whole time. We still offered to take our food to go and she said no, to please enjoy and not to worry. She was on top of refills, and bless her soul, she even tried to not accept the tip I gave her. She was humble and easily gave us some of the best service we've had in a long time. Overall the food is always good so we will still be back. read more

Once you've filled your bowl as much as you can, they'll make it right then and there for you. You can choose from white rice, brown rice, or noodles to round out your bowl. We went here on a Sunday lunch time around 12:15pm. It was not too crowded, but it was definitely understaff as the service as slow or was not attentive as they did give us our food, but forgot about the waters. It did start to pick up however at 1pm. Anyways you can do a custom bowl which I did for a regular for $12.99 and then create your own bowl which is more expensive, but heard you can pile up the food. I ordered the fried rice bowl which had chicken, beef and shrimp. The meat it self was dry and over cook and just had a dry feeling to it. My wife create a bowl was much better. But yeah the food comes out slowly and usually for a Mongolian grill food usually comes out really fast even though it is made fresh to order and can handle crowds. We did ended up waiting for the check for 30 minutes and then my nephew mentioned we were here for awhile waiting so I ended up going to the cashier and paying for the bill which ended up being around $130 with tip. We ended up paying around $13 to $15 dollars per person. read more

Table is extremely wobble and when when we pushed it up against the wall next to it the wall clearly wasn't anchored. Not very many people so seating on a Friday night was quick. Not exaggerating...it may have had 8 or 9 noodles in the bowl. Were they out and just didn't feel like making more? The chicken was the worst quality. Way over breaded with tiny pieces of mystery meat inside. Added egg rolls to my order. Those didn't even arrive. If I bring this back, can I get my $36 back?? I'll include free delivery. My son and I went for lunch today. There was only one person in the restaurant eating but it took about 5 minutes for anyone to come and greet/seat us. 3 employees in the bar were just talking. Once we finally sat down, the waiter did not seem friendly and was kind of rude. We went through the line to choose our items and the cook began to grill for us. He had a long beard and was not wearing a beard net at all. I watched from the table as he sneezed a few times and played with his beard with his ungloved hand. The employee in the bar also had a long beard without a beard net. These people serve food and drinks and hair could easily fall into our orders. This is very nasty in my opinion and I don't think longer beards should be allowed as as an employee of Genghis Grill as you are working with food. I will NEVER eat there again read more
