If i could rate it a 0 i would. I ordered 2 chicken salads from them for my lunch and a coworker they served us raw chicken. Then when i called them and asked for a refund because raw chicken is a safety risk i told them i took pictures and their response was we can remake the salads but i would have to drive back and get it. I guess they agree with selling their customers raw chicken. I normally don't complain but i had to leave work again and not even eat during my lunch break because it was time for me to go back to work. Do better at meeting your customers needs because this whole interaction was extremely unprofessional and makes me never want to go to this establishment again.

Pretty Great deals. I'm from L.A., and was excited to find out there was a Golden Ox near my new home!! Chilli Cheese fries are amazing

Great menu Prices are good Their breakfast food is really good and prices well for what you get Their burgers and fries are good Really tasty gyros Chili verde is ok Service is ok Definitely recommend I do have a problem when these restaurants raise their prices every few months little by little! I may soon stop patronizing them if they keep it up!

We got breakfast burritos this morning and I have to say they were really good. Lots of meat, didn't over do the hash browns or cheese. Very big burritos! I only finished half.

Great restaurant open seating room and drive through is a plus. Had no wait compared to diner and fast food restaurants nearby. We were seated and had our meal in less than 15 minutes. Enjoyed our breakfast with a high chair for little one, clean booths and chairs for the rest of us.

The Dish: I went with the pumpkin pancakes topped with pecan butter, plus a side of bacon. Fun fact: this exact dish was actually featured on Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives! The Flavor Profile: To say these pumpkin pancakes were good is an understatement, they were absolutely to die for. As the pecan butter melted over the top, it created the perfect rich sauce, and the crunchy pecan bits scattered throughout the pancakes gave every single bite an amazing texture. Eating this felt exactly like a cozy October morning. The Verdict: Between the perfect diner nostalgia and those incredible pancakes, this breakfast was a total home run. If you're looking for ultimate comfort food that lives up to the TV hype, this place is a must-visit!

The last 3 or 4 times I have eaten at Milt's my order has not been prepared as I asked and it has…read morebecome increasingly frustrating as I have had to each time send my food back to be redone before it is right... There is one server in particular that is too loud for me and I always hope that I am not seated in her section... This morning however, I was seated in her section... I read the room very quickly today and told my husband that this time was most likely going to be one of these bad experiences... I could not have been more right... There were approximately 5 employees working and approximately 6-7 tables with customers... It took about 10 minutes or so before anyone took our drink order due the loud server having too many tables to properly attend to with one being a fair sized party... A couple arrived after we did and the loud server took their order, delivered their food while mine was sitting on the kitchen counter, then she proceeded to have a chat with this couple as if they were the only customers in the diner... I know this because the couple were seated in the booth in front of and as I have stated before in this review, the server is loud... When she did bring my food, the potatoes were not only runny, they were cold... It took some time for her to get back to our table and when she finally did, I told her the potatoes were cold...Her response? ''Oh'' I get that it is a diner with a short order cook, but there is ZERO reason for cold mashed potatoes... The loud server did ask if I wanted my order remade, but I was aggravated and not willing to wait another 30 minutes or so for a remade order while the server resumed with personal chit chat with other customers instead of attending to the few tables she had, so I declined... There were two other servers (one with the really cool foreign accent and a tall one with a pony tail...) that had no tables and who were doing nothing...There was no reason either one of them could not have helped out by at least delivering the food to the customers... The prices are too high for crap service and cold food... As I was leaving, I told the server with the accent who was at that moment at the cashier station that I was tired of getting bad service and food and that I would not be coming back until they got their act together... On a positive note: The only time I have gotten excellent customer service is when Mercy has been working... Unfortunately, Mercy has different hours now and is not there when we come in at our regular time... I do not care what alternate name you give this restaurant, whether it be Milt's or something else, the underlying owner is still ORG... I am beyond sick and tired of seeing ORG all over B-town and not without reason... I used to go to ORG on Calloway and not one single time in the upwards of 10+ times I ordered a Patty Melt could they get it right... I had many conversations with the manager/franchise owner regarding this as over half the time, the meat was undercooked and all of the time, they were either unable or unwilling to put together a simple meat, cheese and bread order... I stopped going to ORG because of this and every time I see an ORG, I am disgusted... None of this ongoing crap with ORG is worth it anymore... Please understand...If you read this review, know that it is my personal experience and nothing more...

The food was delicious overall. The hash browns weee a little soft, though I could have asked for them crispy. They also offered homemade salsa, which isn't spicy but adds a nice depth of flavor. I honestly can't believe it took a horrible experience at a new establishment to finally bring me here. Customer service is a 10/10 Coffee is a 10/10 Cobbler is a 10/10 but I will say I enjoyed the blackberry cobbler so much more. My baby had the Chicken and Waffle 10/10. The waffle has a similar taste to a fresh waffle cone, so you don't need so much syrup. Double bacon cheese burger with veggies on the side was ordered by my teenager and I must say this is one of the BEST BURGERS BAKERSFIELD HAS TO OFFER! The fries were seasoned perfectly and the meat tasted so fresh, plus the bacon was cooked to perfection 10/10. My big boy ordered the hot links, eggs with county potatoes 10/10 We ordered over medium and they did not disappoint. We arrived a bit late because the biscuits were sold out, so he got some french toast instead 8/10. I ordered the county fried steak which I was amazed on how delicious it was and the gravy was great 10/10 I also received country potatoes and eggs 10/10. Bakersfield has resturants that offer country potatoes but unfortunately most places fall short, this place is on point with their seasoning. As you can tell by the pictures my kids left happy and full. This place is so welcoming and the interior is cute, plus their restrooms are super clean. I am such a foodie and I identify as a bigback lol So I will be making this my new go to place, because there is so much more I want to try and they didn't fail my taste buds.

Most of the staff are great, however, everytime i come with my partner, we cant help but notice that the older waitress Mary gives us a strange type of vibe/treatment everytime we have her as our waitress. She rarely will acknowledge us, one time she walked up to our table and didn't greet us or ask for anything and when we finally said hello first, she didnt greet us back but instead just took our drink order. She also regularly brings us our check before we even finish our first plate, and doesnt do this with other patrons or people sitting. We recently came close to lunch time and quickly handed us our check which we figured that they might charge the difference or recharge us for lunch. However we were the only people in the dining room that she did not offer this upcharge or if we were staying for lunch. Just handed us our check and walked away. We enjoy the food, however, dont always feel welcomed if it makes sense.

The neon signs are especially fun too. I came here to celebrate a friend's birthday. I was the first to arrive, and since they don't do reservations, I requested a table. We were expected to be quite a large party (approx.10-12), so it was pretty difficult getting seated quickly since they had to figure out spacing. But that's understandable with how limited the seating is already. I was between getting the zucchini fries and the brussels sprouts, because their brussels sprouts are so tasty and flavorful. But ended up ordering the zucchini fries, because they are incredible! They're nice, hot and crispy, and go amazing with their ranch! For my main dish I ordered the Wild Caught Cajun Salmon Salad. I had never had it before but it was really good & filling! The food took a little long to come out, but again, it was understandable with the amount of people in our party. The coffee had a unique taste. I wasn't a fan at first, but after my second cup, it really grew on me and turned out to be a very good cup of coffee. Be sure to arrive before 9:30 a.m. because they can run out of biscuits by then. We arrived at 10:15 and by time they took our order we were told they were out of biscuits. The dining room is also small, seating only about 20 people at most. Carla's Cafe is a little out of the way for me, and probably for most people, but it's well worth the trip. Overall, I'd give Carla's Cafe 4 out of 5 stars. I'm looking forward to coming back and trying a few more entrees.
