Probably the only person in the Bay Area who hasn't been to Gott's. Finally tried it during a recent game night. Line looks long but it's pretty efficient. The food actually takes much longer than line/ordering. Kind of good? Means they make your food to order. Crowded during game nights - expect to share a table. Open airy minimal space, would be nice if they had some high tops for people to eat on their feet. Limited outdoor seating also. Menu is hard to see at the back of the line and when the line starts to move quickly it's hard to digest everything on the wall - would be nice if they had paper menus or a QR code to quickly peruse. We just ordered two salads but it was a wait! Maybe 15-20 mins? Chicken comes 3 ways: fried, cold or hot. We picked hot and it was good! Not rubbery at all, still juicy and tasted like real undoctored chicken - which is rare when dining out nowadays! Always seems pre-cooked or overly brined. Not here. The kale Caesar - perfectly dressed, not overly worked, seasoned well, a cool twist on parm - parm crisps/small discs - flavor, texture and kept me satiated all night. Love that they have organic PDX condiments and most of their serveware is compostable. Next time I will try a burger or maybe have them pop it on a salad perhaps?! I've been to 5 different Gotts locations and this is the best one. All the other ones did not toast their burger buns and every time I received my order the bun was cold and not very soft. I stopped by for lunch one day since I work close to here and I got a burger with the garlic fries. I've tried Gots Roadside Burgers twice now, and both times the food was disappointing. The patties were clearly frozen. They were still shaped like hockey pucks, and they tasted exactly the way they looked. It's honestly the worst burger I've ever had. I'm surprised by how many 5 star reviews there are. They asked for a tip at the point of sale device but no service was provided during the visit. The food was good! I've been here a few times and I think I like their salads better than their other dishes. The root beer float is one of my favorites from here :) The service was also good! You line up to order, then sit down and wait for your buzzer to go off. I also enjoyed the ambiance! It's good for a quick meal - however, when there's a chase event it gets crowded easily so be aware of that! I have been meaning to try Gott's for a while as it is a Bay Area staple, but was a little bit disappointed with the quality of my food. The burgers are quite expensive (10-18 dollars) and don't come with fries. I opted for the green chile cheeseburger and I enjoyed the flavor combination but mine was slightly overcooked and the bun could have been toasted better. I tried the Texas avocado burger as well and it was pretty good. The garlic fries were really solid but the portion size could have been better.
