Disappointing. My frittata was oddly runny, did not include the bacon I ordered, but somehow included broccoli which I didn't order. I like broccoli, but I didn't order it. It wasn't even a menu option! The server offered it to have it remade but I instead asked for a side of bacon, which I appreciated. But $25 for tax and tip for a wrong order that I waited about 45 minutes for is disappointing. (The server was nice, not his fault!) read more

The food at Harvest Kitchen was extraordinary, from start to finish. The appetizers were unique, diverse for all palates, and executed perfectly. We loved their signature guacamoles with homemade tortilla chips warm from the kitchen; Brussel sprout Caesar, seared tofu with peanuts, cilantro and spicy sauce, and light, fried calamari. The main courses were generous and creative pairings, e.g., bronzini with herb butter, stir fried vegetables, and lovely Asian-style sauce that added personality to the whole combination; faro bowl with chicken; wild shrimp with feta, tomato and seafood broth, and more - all cooked to perfection. For dessert, you will have a hard time picking a favorite -- but we were partial to the apple pie like no other (bright and tangy, with crunchy crust, and homemade, salted caramel ice cream) and the chocolate souffle/lava cake. The staff went above and beyond to attend to us and couldn't have been more accommodating and friendly. They understand the meaning of hospitality and service. SO worth it. Horrible restaurant. Avoid at all costs. Service - one of the worst I have seen. Was there with my family yesterday for late lunch. I asked for bread, he came out with Toasted white bread. We chose Harvest Kitchen based on the reviews on Yelp, the vicinity to the museum, and the fact that they open at 10:30am for Brunch. We were a group of 5ppl celebrating my daughter's birthday with her friends. Due to Covid we could't have a larger gathering so we opted with smaller group and a visit to the Museum of Natural History. Not sure if it was because we had 3 kids, the Manager Igor decided to put us in a private corner with open floor window. We ordered fish and pork tacos, avacado burger, Cheddard and beacon burger, and steak and eggs. Everything was well made and tasty. Harvest Kitchen gets 5 starts from me because of the experience we had. From the moment we walked in our server and the Manager Igor made us feel welcome and special. With the private table to the food, and the special birthday dessert( Crisp apple pie with ice cream and caramel sauce) was a great end to our meal. Made a reservation for 4 for my husband's birthday brunch, specifically requesting outside seating. Was very disappointed to arrive for our reservation and be told they did not have the ability to seat 4 people outside. It's unclear as to why we were not notified before arriving that they would not be able to accommodate our reservation as requested. In COVID times, forcing us to dine indoors seems unsafe and in accommodating, especially with a reservation. read more

Felt as though we were being rushed even though service was slow for a Tuesday night. The drinks and food were top notch. The Espresso Martini is really a golden drink. Where things really took a dive was around 9pm. Our waitress began rushing us to wrap up with our check even though we hadn't even finished eating. We asked to have the bill split and she scoffed and made it seem as though it was a problem we weren't paying cash? Weird. She then proceeded to be belligerent about the tip even though her service was almost non existent throughout the night/rushed because she was leaving for the day. I'd recommend this place for the food but not the service. They ended up charging my friend twice even though we asked to split the check. read more

I rarely write reviews, but the wait staff at Harvest Kitchen, as an ensemble, is the BEST on the UWS! They work together as a team, and in the end, provide the customer with bar none, XLNT service. For example, yesterday, I was in a hurry, unexpectedly, and Maysa and Erik were exemplary in their ability to fulfill my requests quickly whilst maintaining a positive attitude! I could EASILY go on about each and everyone of the wait staff, but you just need to come in and see for yourself what I am talking about. Completely disappointed with both the service and the food. Ordered Brussel sprouts as an appetizer. Came out with main course. Sprouts were dripping in sauce, overpowering the flavor of the Brussel sprouts. The kimchi fried rice bowl was inedible. Definitely re-heated with microwave. Presentation was awful as well. The eggs Benedict Florentine came with out hard yolk-could be cut with a knife. When they attempted to correct this, the next try came out with basically raw eggs. Arrived a tad after 11 o'clock and was told about 30 minutes, for a table of two. At 11:50, I checked in and was offered a spot at the bar for the first time. Sat at the bar immediately in front of a friendly bartender, where he stood for at least 95% of our meal. He got us menus and asked us if we wanted a drink. After a solid five minutes, and our menus stacked up... The universal sign for "we made our selections and already to go..." I had to prompt the ordering process. When the food finally came, it came without silverware or any questions as to what we needed... Hot sauce for the eggs, salt and pepper... Which would've helped the butcher frittata that was mediocre, at best. Never asked if I wanted more coffee, creamer, or non-cancer-causing sugars, which were used up immediately. Back to the silverware. The bartender acknowledged that we needed silverware right after they dropped the plates. At least five minutes later, I had to get up, go to the next table, and grab silverware off of another table. read more
