I ordered the arroz chaufa de camarones; they definitely don't skimp on the shrimp. My meal was delish, rice cooked perfect, no mush at all...The perfect amount of red pepper and onions totally complimented this dish! We were immediately greeted by the hostess which immediately seated us.. I ordered and within 8 minutes my piping hot dish was served.. The establishment is well decorated with cool artwork and the location has a locals vibe.. Definitely be back soon to try more dishes!

Located in the super busy plaza juxtaposed to the dead PH mall across the street, Higo Peru is a great place to get some casual Peruvian food. We actually came here during the summer when our Norwegian friend was visiting and he's never had this kind of food before, especially Peruvian sushi. Great dish to try especially since he's a bit of a weeaboo dude too. Service was super friend and inviting, all smiles and our food came out decently quickly too. We had to kill some time here before linking up with our other friend and I am glad to say that this is a TCG friendly place since my brother and friends opened up their MTG packs and booster boxes and played a bit here and didn't get any dirty looks or encouragement to leave and open up a table. There were a couple other customers there too, but enough seating to go around when we went. During our visit, since we were going out to eat again, we got 2 of their rolls and they don't skimp out on the sauces, filling and ingredients. We also got their lomo saltado, delicious fries and went great with their famous green sauce. I'm not sure if it's still on the menu, but we got the Papa a la huancaina which is boiled potatoes with egg and a creamy sauce on top. Yummy and the presentation on the soup spoons made it a pretty fancy presentation and easier to eat in a bite. I need to go back here again!

Great experience being a first-timer, leaving a good first impression. Our server was very attentive and would always come to check on us every so often. Casual setting, lots of chairs and tables, music not too loud, enough to engage in conversation. Food is really good! Ordered the following: #40 YUQUITAS FRITAS: cassava fries, comes in thick slices, the sauces are a good compliment. #36 TALLARIN VERDE CON POLLO ALA CHICKEN KATSU: creamy basil flavor is very generous, leaving a happy palate, chicken well cooked, lightly battered. 10/10 20# ARROZ CHAUFA DE MARISCOS: the flavor hit the nail on the head, delicious seafood fried rice, very generous in seafood portion Definitely returning!

The lomo saltado was amazing. It was absolutely flavorful and packed with seasoning. The meat was very tender and soft and chewy. I absolutely love this dish. Any Peruvian restaurant I go to, but this one does it right. The service was amazing as well and the food came out very fast not too long of a wait. How do you recommend if you're looking for some Peruvian dishes.

I've passed this place many times and finally stopped in. You're greeted and seated once soon as you enter the location. There's plenty of seating in a welcoming atmosphere. As the music plays you get comfortable and peruse the menu. Our server made a couple suggestions and provided us with the Peruvian salsas, one green and one red. Remember this is Peruvian, it sounds different, but it's truly amazing. Not long after we had Saltado de Pescado and Tallarín Saltado de Camarón. Now you ask what is this ? The Pescado appeared somewhat similar to having fajitas and white rice. I promise you it was far from that as the flavors are completely different. The pescado was light and refreshing. When accompanied by the veggies and Peruvian sauce it was a symphony for the taste buds. Tallarín you ask ? Some may compare its appearance to shrimp chow mein...but once again, it is not. The noodles are tender yet not overcooked, the shrimp are abundant and plump. When paired with the sauce and the occasional addition of the red and green salsas it's a palate pleaser. This meal was completely enjoyable and I look forward to returning and enjoying this culinary delight once again.

This place is so good ! It was my very first time trying peruvian food ever and i was blown away! We got the lunch special and it was so affordable honestly it was such a steal. We got a full plate plus a side of soup! I would def come back and come during the lunch times. It wasn't busy at all when we went. The food came out really fast!

There's not a lot of Peruvian restaurants near us, so we were excited to try this out. It's an easily missed store sandwiched between a couple of other restaurants, all tucked away in a bustling plaza. We came just before the dinner rush and noticed there was a lone server working as host, server, and cashier. Despite being clearly overworked, she handled it all with a calm, friendly demeanor. If you're coming during peak hours, patience is your best dining companion. They provided a complimentary cup of toasted cancha (corn nuts), which had a crunchy, salty bite. It was the perfect snack to hold us over as we waited on our meal. They also brought out two sauces: a creamy, herby aji verde with a gentle kick and a mystery orange sauce (rocoto?) that packed some heat I wasn't expecting. For drinks, we got diet Inca Kola (a rare find!) that had its iconic bubblegum sweetness and Maracuyá (passionfruit juice) which was tart and tropical. For entrees, we ordered: Lomo Saltado: This classic stir-fry of beef, sautéed onions, and tomatoes, served with fries and rice, hit all the right notes on flavor. The beef was a bit tougher than expected, which took away from the otherwise comforting dish. Pescado a lo Macho: A fried fish fillet topped with seafood in a creamy, aji amarillo sauce. This one leaned a bit too salty for my palate, but the mussel on top was surprisingly tender and packed with flavor. If you like briny flavors, this might be your dish. For dessert, we ordered Helado de Lúcuma (I was hoping for alfajores, but they were out). The flavor was mild, almost earthy-sweet, topped with chocolate syrup and whipped cream. After a few bites, I noticed this wild yam-like aftertaste which was unexpected, but not unpleasant. Higo Peru offers an authentic, homey taste of Peruvian cuisine. It's not without its imperfections, but the soul of the food and the effort of the staff more than make up for it.

Higo has changed ownership over the last few years. It is much nicely painted and decorated inside with a very friendly staff. My husband and I came here a few times. I forgot to take a picture of their delicious lomo saltado. We also tried their lunch specials which are also very filling. It's a good Peruvian place to try.

I haven't been back in so long, so was pleasantly surprised that they've turned into a sit down restaurant; however service and taste were still good. We were hungry, so the 2 of use ordered 5 items and only finished 1. The fried seafood was huge, and was still pretty good even as takeout the next day, as were the sweet potato fries. The plantains were a delight and we enjoyed both the entrees.

The food here is great. Highly recommend the ceviche, chicken cutlet with green pasta, and the purple corn drink :) the fried seafood platter is A LOT OF FOOD. The restaurant is clean and the service is good. It's hard to find good Peruvian food in this area so we're really lucky it's a good one!

Food is ok, service is ok. I ordered Saltado de Mariscos, it's $23 and has 4 small pieces of tiny shrimps, 2 ounces of squid and two clams. I was expecting a richer plate with more seafood. It's definitely filling since it has rice and fries but the flavor is bland. The server is nice but slow, she's on her phone while a customer is trying to get her attention. The place isn't busy yet it's just before the dinner rush. Overall a mediocre experience I've been wanting to try Peruvian food for a long time. I'll try the food again but somewhere else.

A nice variation from the concentration of Asian especially Chinese cuisine in the local area. Owner was very nice. Checked on all the customers to make sure everyone was happy. Gave us alfajores to try. The prices seem a teensy bit high but the quality was there so I felt it was still woth it on the whole. I really liked the Arroz Chaufa con Mariscos. The dish is influenced by Chinese immigrants in Peru so I feel it's applicable to say I tasted the "breath of wok" or "wok hei" that's highly regarded in fried rice. I like my Lomo Saltado saucy and this fit the bill. Fried Fish with the Tallerin was also fried perfectly. I've only had a few Peruvian meals so I cannot speak on the authenticity but all I know is it tasted great and I would definitely visit again when I'm in the area.

Came down for a visit at Frank and Sons. Started looking for food since it's been a while since I've been down this way. Went on yelp and found this place. I have to say this is one of the better places I've eaten at down here in the city of Industry. The vibe in here is perfect, great music, great feel Service is amazing! Giving this place 4 stars only because of it's lunch special. I got the saltado de pollo and it was pretty good. However, got the tallarin verde with the fried fish and it was a 2/5. The noodles were super soggy and not flavorful compared to other restaurants I've tried. The Parmesan cheese, on the side, also had some mold. The fried fish was disappointing. read more

Best Peruvian food my husband and I have ever had. Service was great, friendly staff and we didn't wait a long time at all for our food to arrive. After being seated, we were given corn and some green sauce that tasted refreshing, and red sauce that packed a bit of heat! Super yummy. This place is actually a hidden gem. Food is freshly cooked and comes out hot. Flavour is very good. It's not as busy as it should be is I believe the location and the ambience doesn't fit the fine cooking skills. Their Peru version of chicken Milanese is fresh and crispy with basil pasta was delicious. Give them a try! Service was very good too. read more

I walked in try to order food. The server is incredibly rude. I'll never come back here thank God I didn't order anything or spend any of my money a young Asian girl with little bit of tattoos on their left arm. That server needs to be fired. Cute and vibey place to hang out and eat. I love seafood and the shrimp was delicious! The sauce was a little on the salty side but still yummy. Service was very attentive! A fun recommendation that could bring more foot traffic to Higo would be a weekly live music event where people could dance and hang out. I think it would be a great way to bring the community together and Higo already has the vibe for it! Overall great place! read more

Fantastic Peruvian with Large servings!!! I was in the area after a meeting where I had a salad. I was driving home, but was still hungry and I saw a sign - "peruvian food". I decided to eat and wait out traffic. I was glad I found Higo, it was the best Chauffa I have tried in a long time. The girls were attentive and they provided great customer service. The ambiance was perfect and the portions were huge. The ceviche was delicious and they even had diet Inka Kola. The alfajores were on point. It was our first time here and let me start by saying that we are absolute fans! I've enjoyed Peruvian from many different in locations in California. After eating Peruvian food from my sister-in-law all seemed to fall short. That was until today! Every plate we had was bursting with flavor. 4 of the 5 plates were completely cleaned by my family. Very tender steak on the Lomo Saltado and the Plato Pobre was devoured by my 14 year-old. That large steak cut was prepped perfectly at medium. Fried yucca was crunchy, and the plátanos fritos were sweet. I personally enjoyed the Chicha Morada. Lastly, the staff were very friendly and attentive. Many restaurants fail to make a customer feel welcomed and Higo de Peru did not. The cooking staff even made en effort to check in on us to make sure we were enjoying our meal. In case I need to convince you, allow me to make it clear that Higo de Peru will be my families #1 Peruvian restaurant. read more

This place is really good! We had a Lomo Saltado and a Tallarin de Mariscos. Both were fantastic. I can't wait to come back and try some of their other dishes. The service was also very friendly and accommodating. They also give you complimentary Peruvian "popcorn" - Canchita, It's like a puffed maiz corn kernel. My wife loved it. read more

If you want to eat delicious, you have to go there. The food is super delicious and the service too. The manager and all the people there are very friendly. I eat chicharron on sunday for my breakfast and the taste was the best, the sarzita criolla uff amazing. I love it. The place is comfortable so every people have to try. It's in colima rd and it's opening Monday to sunday. read more

Food was okay, service was horrible. Went in to pick up my order that I made over the phone. I asked one of the girls in the front if I can add a drink she ignored me and went to get her coworker. I then asked the coworker if I can add a drink to my order she asked me which one with attitude as she rolled her eyes and gave me the menu. I asked for a soda and she continued to give me attitude. If you aren't happy at your job get a new one. read more

Peruvian cuisine is one of my favorites I along with some of my fellow foodies have gone to this location throughout the years and have made this my go to location as I pass up two other well known Peruvian restaurants. Today 2/18/2026 I experienced the worst customer service given by this staff he claims to be the manager and I hope he was just having a bad day he got aggressive and in my face telling me he was calm and not angry no sort of etiquette towards the people that give the business support and chance to be open and provide jobs for the community. All over his rude mannerism and tried to yell at me over 3 sodas he probably assumed I was stealing he said in a very stern tone get over here I said I'm sorry I'm confused why your talking to me like that he than went on to say you walk in her and get stuff without permission. I was very confused at that point if there's new rules new procedures why not communicate like a human being not like I'm his employee or worst his enemy I hope someone who matters reads this and makes a difference to this location the supposed managers name was Vladimir for the record I am open for discussion and to resolve this matter to gain my business again with a simple call feel free to reach out otherwise anytime anyone ask I will not recommend this location. read more

Hi El 8 de marzo a las 2:40 pm fui y pedí 3 ceviches sin picante , pero nos trajeron los 3 ceviches picantes y con los trozos de rocoto que se miraban , vino el cocinero un chico moreno delgado y le dije que estaba picante y se puso como loco , me dijo bajarme la voz y no le estaba gritando solo diciendo que estaba picante y que ya habíamos pedido antes y nos lo habían dado sin los trozos rojos de rocoto, aparte nos dijo se pueden ir , si quieren llamen al dueño y nos dio su número en un papel y no se callaba , pesima experiencia jamás nos había pasado algo así . Used to be one of my favorite spots, but under new management it lacks the flare and taste from before. Two of us came and each of us ordered a dish and an appetizer to share, first dish (Chaufa de Pollo) came within 20 min, second dish didn't come until another 10 min, and forgot to bring a fork and could not find our waitress so had to go ask the kitchen staff. Finally, when almost finished, waitress brought our appetizers, we figured she had forgot, and had no way of asking her as we lacked service. Portion size for lomo saltado has become half of what it used to be, and no where near as good. read more

This is my first time try not to Peruvian food restaurant and he was really good. I ordered the tallarín with meat and chicken. It was a big portion if you eat light but seconds are going to more deep delicious in flavor! We tried one scoop of the Lucuma ice cream- which was delicious but a bit overpriced for my opinion.
