The wings themselves had decent flavor, but they were way over-seasoned and pretty salty, which kind of overwhelmed everything else. I couldn't finish them. The fries unfortunately went the opposite direction -- undercooked and a bit soft, they didn't have that crispy texture you'd expect. The seasoning on the fries is also over done. Service was fine but nothing memorable. The staff handled things efficiently, but the overall interaction felt a little blah and routine, without much engagement. The atmosphere is what you'd expect from Hooters -- lively and energetic, bunch of people drinking; but from a food standpoint it didn't really stand out this visit. The food was decent today. I really enjoyed their lemon pepper wings even though they were emphasized as very zingy! The bbq wings were alright, but I'm not a huge fan of saucy wings in general. The fries are usually good; however, they came out very room temp and bland today. The service was okay; the waitress checked up on us a few times but got our drink orders wrong. Corporate places usually suck. Not this one. Stopped in for the first time in many many years. Was pleasantly surprised. That Mahi sandwich is still awesome. Very disappointed My friend and I are regulars at this Hooters, as are many of the waitresses, so we expected the usual friendly service. We arrived around 5 p.m., and the place was nearly empty--maybe eight people total. We sat for over 15 minutes, and not a single waitress came over to greet us, take a drink order, or even say "I'll be right with you." There was no acknowledgment at all. If the WiFi is slow or unreliable, it is simply bad business. Our waitress Sabrina was asked for more drinks and she rudely said she "was too busy to him us". From there Antonio the manager on duty came to our table with an aggressive demeanor and started to argue and make a scene with my father. The manager Antonio kicked out my father and proceeded to call the police. He lie by saying he "felt threatened " when asked what was said for him to call the police he was unable to articulate why. They do pay a little bit more attention. I had to go order, and upon arriving was somewhat greeted by an eye Rolling hostess, who seemed disinterested that I was there since I was not being seated. My order was over 10 minutes late from its pick up time and was missing two items. When I called to discuss it with the manager, he said I could come back for replacements of the missing items. I've had hooters wings at mall of America and when I tell you it was like frozen wings lathered with buffalo sauce, that's pretty much what it was like. This hooters though knows what's up. The wings are crispy and layered with the right amount of sauce on each bite. I recommend getting the hot flavor which I believe to be the most superior wing combination in the world - hot flavored original wings from hooters. All the servers are always accommodating but does slow down when it gets busy which is understandable. If you're looking to find a game to watch, there's a tv in every direction most likely playing the current game of the hour. It's your typical bar-style/restaurant combo you find at a hooters complete with a selection of seating right at the bar, some high stool tables and booths for the fam. When people think of Hooters, they have mixed emotions because of the waitresses' outfits. It may be a bit out of touch with today's environment and the numerous movements. However, I never came here to check out their outfits. I came here to check out the wings, historically speaking. I've also enjoyed their cooked oysters and steak sandwiches. And folks bring their families to Hooters so, it's become part of mainstream Americana. When I used to work in Rosemont, I visited more often but now it's a bit out of the way. So when I do stop by, I want to load up on wings - which heat up quite nicely in my toaster oven. I'm also a big condiment guy so I get mild wings so that I can pair it with whatever sauce or hot sauce that I'm in the mood for. These wings go really well with celery stalks and blue cheese dressing. I also make sure to wash this all down with an ice cold craft brew or two. Went there with our family of 5 and the host said that their was a 2 hour wait. But we could sit at the bar. When we went to sit at the bar we noticed that the place was less than half full. Lots of Hooter waitresses walking around or just standing by the entrance, while the majority of tables were empty. When we received the 50 over priced wings we ordered, they were tiny. Seems like they used to order the large size wings from the vendor and now order the extra small. They were literally half the size of what they used to sell. Been coming to Hooters since 1992 in Downtown Chicago and coming to this location for many years. This location seems to continually keep reducing its food portions throughout the years. Was just in Hooters location in Fort Lauderdale, Florida and had the normal size Hooter wings there. (picture below) I did inform the staff of our disappointment and that we will not return. Came here with my boys from new york. I was staying at the hotel next door and said let me give it a try. The customer service here was off... waited 20 mins for my drink, i wanted my wings well done.. they werent well done. All i heard was these girls were doing double shifts. Great place to hang out on Sunday to watch the football games. The managers are very accommodating to changing the TV channels to the game of your choosing. The food is what you except. 2.15.24 Ordered a full Caesar salad at the O'Hare location without croutons or chicken. When the bowl arrived, it was half full of greens. I asked the waitress to bring this to the managers attention. When the one of the managers Antonio, came back with the bowl I explained to him that the number of greens in this "full-size" bowl could fit into the bowl they use for a side order. I asked him to bring an empty side bowl to the table so that I could prove this. To which he replied that he wouldn't bring the bowl, how's that for customer service. Seeing that this wasn't going to get resolved speaking with him, I then informed him to take the salad off of the bill. I then had a conversation with John the "other" manager about this, to which he said that the salads come prepackaged, and that was the amount for a full bowl. I explained to both of them that I have ordered this salad in the same manner at other locations (Downers Grove and Schaumburg) and that the bowl is filled with greens to the rim. I informed Antonio and John that this location has gone downhill since Lisa Allen left to become a district manager. Lisa if you're reading this perhaps it would be beneficial to give Antonio and John some managerial retraining? My family and I have been coming to this location for years, we remember when Jennifer, Anna Marie, Anna L, and Joanna, started, with Lisa being the only manager running the restaurant. I mean come on were talking about adding some greens to a half empty bowl which should have been a full-size order, I was not going to pay for a side order in a full-size bowl. Perhaps other customers have noticed that the portions have been reduced at this location? At the end of the day, we tipped the waitress the normal 20% for the remaining order. In retrospect I will go to the two other locations mentioned for a full Ceasar salad. read more
