We come to this Hooters relatively frequently, every few weeks... and on the whole the service and the food is always wonderful. However, today's visit was out of this world....: because of our server Paige, This girl is nice ,friendly ,informative ,helpful and went out of her way to make sure we enjoyed our dining experience. Who makes a reservation for hooters? Walk in. 5:30 7/11. No one greets us. I watch the servers push each other until one has to greet us where she asks if we have a reservation.... Cue blank face. I then tell her I didn't know they weren't taking walk ins, she said she could at 6:45. There were over 7-8 open tables. So rude. So annoying. read more

This restaurant has good foods and friendly staffs. Because we are still in the middle of a pandemic, vaccination cards and IDs are required. The dining experience is generally pleasant. I love Hooters but it seems every time I order for delivery is always a disaster. Today I had to wait 2 hours for my order, I called 7 times tilli finally got through to someone. I simply asked to make sure my extra sauce was included because it's always missing and guess what today I get extra sauce but it's BBQ not medium sauce like I paid for. The service and waitress have always been great with my boyfriend and I. We come here every so often and always get different waitresses and again not once have experienced bad service. I placed an online order which should have been ready at 7:01 pm today. My order was not ready time passed by, and it was 7:20 pm I requested a refund. The manager asked me why I explained my order was not ready yet and he said okay without apologizing. Each staff member I made contact with was uninterested and had no customer service etiquette. I've ordered wings from this place a handful of times. They rarely get the order correct. Tonight will be the last time I order from hooters. I ordered Caribbean Jerk boneless wings and they provide no sauce, just delivering plain wings. This is the same problem I've had with them in the past. What happened to their food quality? Wow. It has gone downhill. I will not return anymore. First of all, compare the size of buffalo shrimp on real size to the menu. Yes, it's hard to compare with pictures, but it's like half the size! I have been lied to!!!! When I asked my server, she said "yea- I don't know why they zoom in so much on pictures." I so needed that disclaimer you see on food boxes- "enlarged to show texture" so I know the actual shrimp is not going to be that big! Initially ordered a $5 margarita all day, lime on the rocks. It tasted like those lime juice mix you buy at a liquor store. I had to change it to beer. I'd rather drink $5.50 beer on tap than such fake lime flavor so called "margarita". The medium wings were ok. But the honey BBQ wings were too drenched in sauce that I forgot I was eating chicken! Curly fries weren't curly anymore, it was all broken into smaller pieces- not what I remember as Hooter curly fries. Not too much complaint about clam chowder- it wasn't the best; it was too thick, but it was ok. And lastly, when did it become so family friendly? It was like almost every table had a child. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!! I'm beyond upset with the lack of poor management Hooters has! First time at Hooters. My brother had recommended me to go there.It was my friends birthday so I decided to take her and her family out for dinner to Hooters. We got there and it took the waiter Joanna 20 minutes to bring water, another 20 for the pitcher. I understand it was busy. She never brought us kids menu like we had ask her too, so my husband got up and got them no big deal. Another 20 minutes no sign of her. Finally she took our order. Joanna was behind our table, attending another table When my husband called her to our table to order another pitcher, as she came over she dropped all of the plates she had in her hands and got beyond upset with my husband. Her face said it all. She cleaned the mess and never came back to our table and started doing something else. Clearly you can see it on camera! How was that our fault?! I got up and told her that we needed to order something else and she stated she was cleaning the mess up. I told her she had already cleaned the mess and was doing something else just to ignore us. Joanna started to gossip about our table to every waiter that walked by the back register. Mind you we had children with us! They all kept turning and looking at us. But what I could NOT BELIEVE is that she decided to gossip about us to the assistant manager Aaron! My husband had, had it with all the looks and gossiping that was going around and got up and walked up to him to ask him if their was a problem since he is the manager. He stated that there was a problem and that Joanna was telling him about it. Why didn't Aaron come to our table after speaking with Joanna(waiter) and let us know about the issue? My partner and I were actually debating whether to come eat here or at another restaurant. We ultimately decided to come here. TERRIBLE DECISION. We arrived at 9pm, an hour before closing with a reservation. Things were going well at first, until 40 minutes later, we received our food. We ordered WINGS & FRIES. I witnessed other customers coming in after us ordering the same thing and got their food no more than 15 mins after they ordered. The funny thing was, I watched our server MIKAYLA speak to the kitchen staff and point towards our table at that 30-40min mark that we had placed our order. She claimed they were "cooking the wings fresh" but it shouldn't have taken 40 min, ESPECIALLY when we arrived an hour before closing. Our server MIKAYLA was extremely rude after I asked for a manager to discuss the bill because there was no way we were going to pay $56 after waiting 40 min for WINGS & FRIES. After I talked to the manager, he explained that wings should take no more than 10 min to cook and that 40 min was way too long to wait for wings. He was able to compensate for the inconvinience. MIKAYLA gave us our new, 50% off receipt, I thanked her, she ignored me, she came back to pick up our payment, asked if I needed change back and said "Yes, I do." My change was 0.87 and I made sure to get every penny back. After that, I thanked her again, and again, she ignored me. As we walked out the restaurant, she gave us an extreme cold shoulder. First the good. When we got there the wait time was 25 minutes which we expected but they seated us in 15 minutes. The drink was excellent (strawberry lemonade with vodka) and as always the food is delicious. Now the not so good. The waitress Joanna. As soon as we were seated she came and told us the beer special. We are not beer drinkers and told her we didn't want any. After that she seemed to lose interest in us. My husband ordered a Pepsi and I got the strawberry drink. She never brought him a refill or asked if we wanted refills. When she brought the food, the only thing that was hot were the wings. My crab legs were cold and his hamburger was cold. Plus she forgot the butter for the crab legs. By the time my husband was able to flag her down to get the butter, he was almost finished eating his food. We decided to take the food home so I could heat it and eat it hot. But getting her attention to get boxes was difficult. Then she didn't bring a bag. So had to try to get her attention again for that! On a positive note, she didn't try to rush us so the table could be turned. I know we don't spend a lot of money on drinks but we do make up for it by buying a lot of food. My co worker and I just wanted a some beers after work when I seen 3 open tilted chairs it was only 2 of us when i asked the girl who said welcome to hooters are this seats taken? She replied saying they been like that for a while so I put my hand on one thinking ok maybe someone left it like that! After not being able to be seated at the Schaumburg Hooters, we drove the 15 minutes to this location. We were greeted promptly and seated immediately. Despite a busy Thursday night, it seemed all customers were being accommodated. This location has plexiglass up between booths due to COVID. The restaurant appeared to be close to capacity but at no point did we have a concern. Our waitress was excellent. She's one of the few we've had recently who repeated back the order to avoid mistakes. Despite seeing they were short staffed, we were well taken care of. Though there is one sandwich that Hooter's sells that will always have my business and it's their fried tilapia sandwich. It's always this flaky, white meat that is perfectly fried and the fillet which is given with bun is so big that you would have to fold it over just to have it as a sandwich. It's a great deal for the spend and most often I am pleased with it. Well with that said I guess the one time you could find me at Hooters the most is around Lent. With the changes in the economy and Hooters brand wanting to keep our business they have made many changes to their menu recently. Now offering wings with more flavors of sauces, have them breaded or naked or other ways. Also more offerings of liquor specials and pricing of some items has been adjusted so there is something for everyone's budget. This location tends to almost always do a great deal of business. I really do enjoy this location. It is very easy to get to and a perfect location for meeting up my Chicago friends (i live in the suburbs). This afternoon was another great experience and both the buffalo shrimp and TMI double dipped wings were on point. My table had a wonderful server (Rachel) and she was quick with it all. I have watched the same cook go from the raw chicken cooler to the cooked chicken several times grabbing cooked chicken from the baskets with the same gloved hand. He didn't change gloves or wash his hands!! He bounces between raw and cooked wings without hesitation. I also saw him dump out cooked wings into the raw circle basket by mistake. ( they were busy ) he set those wings on top of the French fries. I went to the rest room and when I returned those wings were gone. Even though I've been dining at Hooters for many years, I don't think this is the first time I'm writing a review about them. I grew up with an interest in filling out comment cards from hotel guest rooms and restaurant tables. Hence, my interest in Yelp! My boyfriend and I drove to meet a friend who had never been to a Hooters restaurant. The place was surprisingly busy for a Monday night without a NFL game on. The room was littered with NHL, NBA, UFC, US Open Golf and College Football so there was no shortage of sports on TV. I may be giving you the wrong impression about how often we come here. Honestly, it's infrequent at best and one of the last times we were here, I didn't think we were ever going to return. From outward appearances, there is nothing spectacular about this place that differenciates it from any other Hooters. They are all stuck in a time warp: especially, their uniforms. It is not flattering on some of their staff members and there's more... The managers deserve 3 stars. I'm proud of them for giving their staff members equal and fair opportunity to be a Hooters girl, hiring them based on their qualifications and personality, not by weight and stature. These girls don't need to be exploited or made to feel uncomfortable with how their uniform fits them, just the opposite. I'm sure it affects how other customers may treat them and that is grounds for emotional blackmail in the workplace. In general, Hooters gets ONE star for terrible food. Their menu is stagnant. I would give it zero stars but I can't ignore Tator Tots with Cheese Dipping Sauce or their Hot Shrimp appetizer. Ever since I saw the episode of Undercover Boss, I am disgusted with Hooters and Coby Brooks; this gives me pause... I don't want to plagiarise my own revew so please refer to the Tilted Kilt in Roselle or Twin Peaks in Wheeling, thank you! I give every one of their male and female employees, with the exception of the one who made us think about never returning, 5 stars. You are pretty but your genuinely warm personality, good sense of humor and incredible patience with our friend's tardiness exemplifies what it means to be an employee in the hospitality industry!
