The concept is really simple, for $14.99, you select your base of either rice or noodles, and pick up to 3 toppings. Additional toppings are $1.99 each. I chose the vermicelli noodles with grilled shrimp, egg roll, and shrimp paste wrapped in tofu skin. My sister-in-law got vermicelli noodles with pork chops, egg roll, and shredded pork rinds. Her parents and my dad got the broken rice with pork chops, shrimp paste wrapped in tofu skin, and shredded pork rinds. We all loved the food and thought the presentation was very nice! I wanted to try this place because it's the only one that offered a pork-less option and their beef short ribs are perfectly marinated and tender! Tastes fantastic! Their steamed egg cake was also great! A couple things I wasn't a fan of was that the soup was served in odd dishes that aren't functional at all as soup bowls and their nuoc mam lacked the umami quality I prefer. It mainly tasted like sugar water. A few squeezes of lime helped but nuoc mam is a huge aspect of com tam so that was a little disappointing. Staff was friendly and helpful and the restaurant itself seemed clean and space was open so we didn't feel crowded even though we had about 16 people at our table. I ask them where the soup and they replied, "you did not ask for one". It customary that the soup come along with the dish. And their grill pork is very dry and unedible. I end up throwing it away. I compare every com tam place to it and this place was DELICIOUS the side items are slightly better than thanh restaurant. I think the only thing thanh did better was the meat because it has more char. The cha was incredibly flavorful and warm. The price is very cheap as well I got the fried chicken and the main meat and fried shrimp roll for only 13.99! Going to come here more often! The wings are juicy and meaty. We ask them to recook the meat fir me, so they change a different piece for me. They bring out my husband dishes. The meat is way bigger, thicker than mine. Yes this is my second review for place within the last 2 months but considering I have taken my kids here 7 times during that time I think I earn the extra review. First of all this place is great if you have small kids. It is clean and the tables are spaced out so it doesn't not feel cramp like other Vietnamese restaurant. The foods are good and very reasonably priced. Com tam with 1 entry goes for only $10.99 and 2 entries goes for $12.99. Thr portion is a lot for that price. If you go to any other com tam place around here you will be looking at least $15.00+. The servers are very nice. They are attentive and very professional. Their ordering system is very minder n. They provide you a tablet to order once you are seated and anything can be order from there. They also have the option to order togo items from the tablet. The only bad thing I experience while dinning with my kids today is that the place is very empty. Maybe because of this the other dinners were pretty loud. I don't mind people being loud at a restaurant but their language are those that can be heard in a Vietnamese "Quang Nhau". I hope the owners might know these dinners and can ask them to keep those kind of language away from the restaurants. I felt uncomfortable sitting there with my 7 and 5 years old dinning while the other dinners cussing loudly. Something like that will surely going to turn away potential customer. The drinks are also very reasonable priced. Most are at $2.99 whereas other places will charge up to $4/$5 for the same thing. I often eat this dish as this is one of my favorite foods so I was a bit hesitant to try a new location after staying into another restaurant for so long. After looking at reviews and seeing how close it was to me, I decided to give it a shot. What appealed to me is how you're able to select certain amount of items for the rice plates and it was at a reasonable price. I usually end up choosing the pork chop the shrimp cake with tofu skin and the egg cake. When I came home to eat it, I was quite surprised with the quantity of food and how high-quality it was. Everything was very tasty and I was happy with trying this location. The staff inside were very nice and there was plenty of seating if I wanted to eat there. Their ordering system is on a tablet but I believe you can also just order manually with the server. I'm a big fan of com tam and I love that you get to customize what sides and proteins you get.
