Updated review. It's been a while since I've been back. I'm glad they were able to survive the Covid era. The inside still looks just like the last time I came. Lots of outdated decor, older seats and tables, and they still have the big aquarium in the back with some fresh water fish. The menu still offers the same variety of breakfast and lunch items. Inflation has definitely affected their already high prices. We ordered the Mexican omelette, the Kimchi fried rice, and the Kids cake special with coffee and OJ. The food was pretty good. We didn't get their famous chicken and waffles since it was so expensive. I'm sure it probably still tastes just as good. It was a slow morning. There were only a few occupied tables. We were able to get our food pretty quickly, but I never got my toast which came with my order. Wasn't in the mood to ask the waitress for it since she didn't seem like she was in a good mood. What really disappointed me was the fact that they've now added an additional 15% service charge. It was only my husband, two toddlers, and I. I'm assuming this service charge is added to all orders, but that's wild considering their prices are already pretty high. I feel like we could have had a better experience and meal at iHop or Dennys. Not sure if I'd recommend coming back since you could probably get more bang from your buck at another comparable restaurant. It's a shame considering they used to be one of the best hole in the wall breakfast spots in the valley specially on the weekends. read more

I unabashedly love this place, a local mom and pop spot that serves up a great breakfast. A fixture in the valley at this point, if you are looking for chicken and waffles anywhere in Van Nuys or North Hollywood this is the place to be. The interior is classic dinner with a column of booths and steaming coffee machines. I know they have other offerings and I am sure they are good but the thing that calls my name everytime is the chicken and waffles. The waffles are slightly crispy on the outside and light and fluffy on the inside. The chicken is well seasoned and has a fantastic crunchy texture. Bonus points for the fact that they make their jams in house and you can get thai iced tea. The only possible complaint I can muster up is that the parking is small but that minor inconvenience is well worth dealing with if you're looking for a great breakfast. read more

The food is good. The outer part of the chilaquiles is cold but the center is warm. I liked them because they are crunchy and spicy but needs a little more sauce. They normally comes with egg and steak but didn't want either. Instead I asked for bacon. They cut up the bacon and mixed it in the chilaquiles. Have a suggestion, half home fries and half chilaquiles not mixed. The chicken is better here than Roscoe's. Friendly and clean. read more

Perfect place for brunch on a Saturday morning, when you are hungry and all you want is to eat something delicious... and fast! I was craving something sweet but could not let go of the savory food too, so I went for the breakfast combo (eggs, sausages and waffles) with the strawberry+nutella+whipped cream topping. It was sensational, one of the best waffles I've ever had, so light and airy with a crispy crust. The coffee was really good, and my husband's biscuit sandwich was very pretty as you can see in the photo. I came across this place by accident but it Is a gem!!! If you like Thai food then you have to try this place for breakfast or lunch. The restaurant appearance can use work but the food and service is awesome. The waitresses are fun& friendly. They never brought us our high chair we had to go find one ourselves. She didn't take our order correctly, once we ordered we look down to see roaches crawling. She never came back to our table once our food was served we had to track her down for refills and to ask for the check which again she took her time to bring us the check (30 minutes) she wasn't kind like the other servers.
