This has been one of my go to restaurants for a really long time. They always serve authentic Italian recipes cooked to perfection. Every server we've ever had has been really knowledgeable about the menu and the specials. If you want a really good date night vibe, you can book one of the more private rooms they have as well.

Granaio Italian Restaurant was the perfect venue for the April '26 monthly meeting for our Car Club! We reserved the restaurant for 2 hours on the weekend during the Tulip festival. Our servers Stephanie and Elizabeth were so helpful, they made the whole experience so stress-free! We got to the restaurant an hour early to setup the Auxiliary meeting room we reserved for our club meeting. After talking with the servers, it was decided that it may not be big enough for a group of our size. The servers graciously offered to close off the main portion of the restaurant instead, and redirect the normal patrons to the Auxiliary meeting room. This worked excellent, and there was plenty of space for our club to meet! The servers also helped up re-arrange the tables to suit our needs, and we had plenty of space. The menus worked great, and the food was absolutely delicious. Additionally, we had one or two guests who had dietary restrictions, and the servers were more than accommodating to them. Our club meeting also went very well! The restaurant was quiet and we had no trouble hearing our president and officers make announcements. The servers very discreetly gathered up the checks, and nobody had any complaints about things not being processed properly. Overall, the officers commented about how accommodating the restaurant was and how the servers went out of their way to make our meeting work well. And it did - we one of the highest turnouts of any non-holiday meeting despite the rain. Thanks so much for the great experience. We will be back next year!

Ver cute restaurant. They have 3 rooms, one very large, one medium (seats about 30) and a small (seats 18). We were in the small room which feels almost like a private room. Extensive menu which included "sunset specials". Sunset specials included bruschetta and dessert. I had the veal parmigiana and the wife mushroom fettuccine. Everything was very good, very tasty and not salty. The panacotta for dessert was divine. Good food, great service, cozy setting. Nice place for an Italian dinner out.

This is our second time to this restaurant. Both times we have been seated swiftly, the service is exceptional and the food is great. I was hesitant to try the French onion soup, because I have had one too many in the past that made me regret it - but this restaurant has restored my optimism! It was phenomenal. We had the French onion soup, spaghetti carbonara and the special, which was a steak with risotto. The portions are large, the taste is wonderful, and served hot. It was so good the first time, we came back today to enjoy again. The building is cute, I like the layout inside. There are a couple different rooms that you could to be placed in, and all are cozy and esthetically pleasing. The building has an older charm to it, and lighting is dimmer for a more intimate setting. Javier did a fantastic job. He was knowledgeable and checked in on us frequently, but not overbearing. Drinks were good, and he brought out refills promptly. He offered to box our food for us and promoted the dessert menu, which my fiancé loves a good tiramisu, so we got that for take home. This is our new favorite night out spot. Great food, great atmosphere, and great staff!

We're originally from NY but let me tell you, Nonna Luisa Ristorante beats "the best," most well known Italian restaurants in and around NYC. Hands down. There's no way anyone could possibly leave this place feeling anything other than full, happy, and excited to come back. Like a true Italian family, Nonna's won't let anyone go hungry. We were planning on having dinner here one night but the ferry was late. By the time we pulled up it was already 30 minutes after they closed so we sat in our car parked across the street looking up what other places might still be open. The owner happened to be outside and shouts "Are you hungry?!" They had already cleared out for the night, there weren't people still sitting down eating. But he invited us in anyway. I would've expected our server Carmen to be annoyed because I'm sure she wanted to go home but instead she welcomed us in just like the owner did. We thanked her and apologized but she said "that's what we do here, we take care of people." They even gave us a free desert since we were celebrating a birthday. Come here because you're hungry, come here to celebrate, come here because you don't feel like cooking, come here because it's a random Wednesday... just come here.

We arrived around 4:35 PM, and by 4:45 PM the restaurant was packed. Thankfully, we had a reservation, so we were seated almost immediately. I came here to celebrate my birthday, and the service was exceptional. Our server took the time to walk us through the specials, which took about 10 minutes, and she was incredibly patient and attentive throughout the entire meal. Since it was my birthday, they also graciously treated me to dessert with a song, which was a thoughtful touch I ordered the Pesto Pasta and added chicken for an extra $5. I didn't mind paying the additional charge, but I was disappointed by how little chicken was included there were only one or two small pieces. The pesto sauce itself was flavorful, but it was quite rich and heavy because of the amount of cheese, making the dish a bit overwhelming by the end. The real star of the meal, however, was the tiramisu. It was honestly one of the best tiramisus I've ever had. The balance between the coffee flavor and sweetness was absolutely perfect, and the texture was light and creamy. I would happily come back just for the tiramisu. The portion was also very generous and could easily be shared between two people. The pasta portions were equally impressive. I couldn't finish mine, so I was happy to take the leftovers home for lunch the next day. Overall, I had a wonderful birthday dinner. Between the excellent service, generous portions, and outstanding tiramisu, this is a restaurant I would definitely return to.

We came for the flowers, but this little food truck parked at Tulip Valley Winery delivered the kind of meal that sticks with you. There's something magical about pairing genuine, well-crafted Italian food with a flight of local wines. Chef Alberto runs the whole operation himself cooking, serving, sharing stories, and making you feel like you've been invited to Sunday lunch at his family's table in Italy. His passion shows in every bite. I've had plenty of eggplant parm over the years, but this one? Best I've ever eaten. Served in a simple plastic container yet unforgettable perfectly balanced sauce pasta cooked just right, and eggplant that was tender and full of flavor. My husband ordered the chicken mushroom ravioli, and I was tempted to sample half of it. Big, pillowy pasta filled with rich, savory goodness an absolute win! We also split a Caesar salad (because veggie balance is important) and ended on a high note with tiramisu. It was airy, creamy, and just espresso kissed enough to keep you going back for another spoonful. We lingered on the patio glass of wine in hand, soaking up the scenery and wondering how a food truck in the middle of tulip country had turned into one of our favorite dining experiences in ages. The Stella Sopra truck travels between Bellingham and Mount Vernon. If you see it parked anywhere don't overthink it. Order whatever catches your eye. You'll definitely leave happy.

We started with the Pappardelle Al Ragu Di Cinghiale, which was quite tasty, though the pasta felt a smidge on the drier side. Unfortunately, the Osso Buco ($75) missed the mark immensely. The veal was overdone and notably fatty, and the saffron risotto was very dry; it desperately needed a sauce to pull the components together. At that price point, I expected a much more refined execution. It's a lovely place to sit and the staff are wonderful, but the main courses didn't live up to the premium cost. Edit: I'm surprised by this response. I took the time to highlight what your team does well--the service and the atmosphere were truly lovely. My feedback on the Osso Buco was meant to be constructive, especially given the high price point. It's disappointing that instead of addressing a kitchen consistency issue, the suggestion is simply to eat elsewhere. I'll certainly take that advice.

Despite the hospitality, the food did not really live up to expectations. I got the birria, and while it was okay, it definitely wasn't worth the price I paid. My girlfriend's scallop crudel was almost as pricey and it did not even fill her up. I believe the bill for our whole meal (including a mocktail) was over $80. I perused the menu on a large chalkboard and chose the Emmer Spaghetti and added the optional meatballs. While waiting for my meal I discovered that they might have cannolis! I asked about getting a cannoli and was told that they would need to see if there was enough ingredients for one. I was in luck and was able to order one! The spaghetti was very well prepared and cooked. I enjoyed the flavor of the sauce and the homemade pasta. The meatballs were the highlight in my opinion! The background music was playing "Celebration" by Kool and the Gang and there's a line that asks "what is your pleasure" and I thought "right now? This meatball and the spaghetti!" Then I was handed my cannoli and I was amazed at the flavors and textures! One end was dipped in chocolate chips and the other end in pistachio pieces ! I found the Cavatelli to be well balanced. It was a great carrier for the fresh heirloom tomatoes and english peas. The spaghetti was cooked perfectly al dente. The sandwich was fantastic. They make the bread in house and it definitely shows in all the best ways. It was crusty, chewy and a great vessel for the meat. The only qualm I have about the place is the price; it feels a bit high for what you receive, especially in the case of the spaghetti.
