We had a group of 10. The servers claimed they would only give us 2 checks, not groups of 2. At the end they tried to get us to pay without offering a copy of the bill. They had added 18% tip but did not want to disclose so we could add an extra tip. There were some questionable additions to the bill. We drove 45 mins to this location as we were excited to try a new Indian buffet (which had a promo for 50% off through Facebook). However, when we got there, the man laughed at us and said they are not honoring the discount on the buffet. The coupon on their website said that Sundays were included in the discount so we were super confused. We were also told that the "buffet is closing early today" and were told we could not dine there even at full price. We had arrived at 1pm, so a whole hour and half before their buffet closes. A huge waste of time and a very disappointing experience. If they don't want to honor the coupons they issue themselves and can't keep true to their hours, then that's what I consider an unprofessional business. read more

Tried the buffet this week. My first time here. Pretty well designed and spacious restaurant. Being vegetarian tried the paneer, dal makhani, Saag and Naan. Paneer was hard. Dal was amazing. Had second helpings. Naan was not fresh and appeared reheated. Saag was borderline spoilt. The reason I put 3 stars is it depends on who is cooking the food. My company orders big orders from here monthly and some days it's great . When it says mint raita it is - but when it's a different chef it's not. I wish it was consistent. Also the pictures are not accurate. The salmon is not how it looks or the fish curry. I ordered food through ubereats on Feb 5th, 2023 and woke up at 5 am with severe nausea and then went back to sleep and woke up at noon still with severe nausea. I wish I had thrown up because I probably would have felt better afterwards but no such luck. I wasn't able to eat anything until late in the afternoon that day. We had dinner with family here on Friday night (12/1/2023) around 8:15 pm. After ordering our food ( one Tandoori item and 3 curries and bread basket ), they made us wait for 35 mins to get the food out , and that too because we asked the food came. So , the food gets served around 8:50 pm and that too not all at once but some items are served while rest come later. Around 9:15 pm or so while we are still eating our dinner , the server starts to come and ask us "Are you ready for the check ?" . Seriously!! I have never had such an experience at any restaurant in US. This was height of rudeness. And to top it , he came 2 more times and on us asking him about it, he is like we are gonna close in 15 mins . Then another server comes and asks the same question. When we showed him that their website mentions they are open till 10 pm on Friday nights , he says with a bold face that that's only for Door dash and online orders and you should have come in early for dinner. Really !!!!!, where does it say that on your website ? Food was good and the service pathetic . Ambience okay. We went for their lunch buffet today after many years, and it was so disappointing. Number of items has gone down and price has gone up. Every main dish seems to have cream in it, including bharta. Not my idea of good Indian food if it's taste is concealed in cream and butter. Thry had items like plain creamed corn, wedge potatoes. Please tell me how those qualify as Indian dishes! They don't include tea anymore in their buffet, but charge $2.50 extra for a small cup! We were told that since fewer people come for the buffet, they removed the tea . Huh? Guess what - now there'll be two fewer people. Is this how they plan to attract customers back? I ordered a chicken malai tikka to go, which was under cooked and flavorless! You're better off going to one of the buffets in Folsom. There are so many better choices there. read more

Went to lunch buffet at 12 noon price is $ 19+ which is a lil high but ok. Seems most items must be from day before and just reheated or refried. The battered fish was inedible , super hard, and obviously very old. Tandoori chicken is also dry and reheated. I expect more from a very nice looking restaurant and high lunch prices. Curry goat was decent but not worth a return visit. Lots of other Indian restaurants that serve fresh lunch options. read more

This place is amazing, they offer a lunch Buffett that is top notch. The curries were delicious! As was everything else. There was a good range of mild/ mid spice, and lots of non spicy options too. I loved the Vegetable Samosas. The staff are all wonderful and the service was great. Our plates were moved quickly off of table. Ok . The review is for the weekend buffet . Some options good , other abysmal . The lack of decent Indian food in the area is perplexing. Buffet had the usual suspects , chana masala , chicken tikka masala , goat curry , some palak and something with paneer . I'm not fond of buffets and find them to be geared towards a standard palette but some of these offerings were bad even by basic standards . The chana masala looked like it came from a can, the chicken tikka masala obviously had dry chicken leftovers from last night , and the fish pakoras were practically hockey pucks . The saag was good but didn't have enough fenugreek or ginger . The Kheer was watery and the halwa had so much kewda water it felt I just ate some pot pourri. They charge around 20+ dollars for this and expect an at least 15% tip afterwards . No thanks. On the other hand the space was well designed . read more
