This is location leaves a lot to be desired. I waited over half an hour for a mobile order. It's 2021 and mobile ordering is prevalent everywhere. When I asked about what was taking so long, the staff said "we prioritize walk in customers over mobile orders." She said "you should have come to the end of line and announced you are a mobile customer and I would have made your order." When I called the corporate office I was told the franchise is supposed to prioritize orders in the order they were received, sounds logical. 3/25/19 6:39 pm.... Gross!!! It wasn't busy and yet 3 very young men, two girls and the manager. 1 not in uniform. Not welcomed in as usual. Girl at register had food gloves on, used the register and then proceed back with same gloves to work food prep. But what was really disgusting was that the young man cutting the pickles took a sandwich knife with food on it and wiped it on his apron. When I stopped him and said it was not ok, the other young man in the red shirt said that its ok they are steralized. I informed no, not ok. The young man not in uniform insisted it was ok. When I asked names, he said I don't have to give you any information. These young men need customer service and food training. I later found out from the manager that the young man's name was Alistar. A girl took our order, yet a guys name is on the receipt. Customer service and HEALTH should be a top concern!!! I placed an order via Door Dash where the estimated delivery time was 18 mins. After over an hour I received a notification that my food was delivered but when I went to the door there was no delivery. Upon calling the store as directed by door dash, I spoke with a manager named Kevin who was able to void my order but told me I needed to contact door dash for a refund. When I explained that door dash directed me to the store and I wasn't able to file a help ticket with DD, he said "and as I told you, you have to contact them for a refund". Door dash doesn't have an option in their menu for this. After going back and forth a few times explaining this to him, I asked if there was a corporate number I could call to get help for the refund and Kevin replied "It's on our website". I asked for his name and store number and he only would give me the cross streets and his name. I had to ask him 3 times for the store number. After which I responded in a way in which I shouldn't have and I know I shouldn't have and said "f*** you" but his response went beyond unprofessional and unacceptable and said "same to you, lady". Kevin is SO UNPROFESSIONAL and his refusal to help does not lend good customer service. Kevin had the opportunity to handle the situation differently and offer solutions and instead he came in the phone with an attitude from the start. I understand staffing is hard right now as I also manage a small business in Peoria, however, extending grace to customers and understanding that you are providing a service goes a long way. I am pregnant and the tuna sandwiches have been an insatiable craving and I've enjoyed them very much from JJ. However, this store has been a complete and total mess in the recent months. Delivery taking longer than an hour on multiple occasions, missing food, wrong food sent and all occasions, no offer to make anything right. It's such a disappointment because our family loves Jimmy John's and this is our closest location. The general manager could tell many people were disappointed with the services they were offered and tried to hid behind counter and act busy so no one could see him while his employees mouthed off to customers. Jimmy Johns helped me complete my Eagle Scout Project by donating 40 sandwiches to help with lunch. They almost immediately gave us food without us having to convince them to donate. When I was planning this project I was only expecting to get 20 sandwiches, and I got double the amount instead. I was very pleased with the catering order I placed for my work. It was ready and waiting when I arrived and their wonderful and friendly staff helped me load it into my car. There were no mistakes in my huge order, which has not always been the case at 3 of the 4 other places we've ordered same large amounts. Sandwiches were delicious as were the cookies. My co-workers were happy! I only wish the online descriptions were better because I was nervous there would be enough sandwiches for our staff once I set up the food. I would have liked to know that "15-30 pieces" of the sandwich platters were 3-4" long sandwiches, not 5-6". It makes a difference on how much to order to feed a large party of people. read more
