I'll try to be as honest and unbiased as possible. This place is rated "$" but I somehow spent $18 on a combo. Very, very poor customer service. She was t necessarily rude, but the lack of attention/service can come off that way. I needed napkins and ketchup, she never came back to give it to me. Ranch is very mid. Jim's Burgers is such a staple in Eastside Long Beach. Their staff and food has held it down for the students of Jefferson and Wilson for decades! When it comes to french fries, the argument is over. This place wins, hands down. They're always well-cooked, well-seasoned, and fresh! Personally, I love myself a salty treat so I always ask for extra seasoning salt, but that's just my preference. They have a good family pack option which is perfect for a meal in the park, beach, etc. A few other items i've tried are: zucchini, fried mushrooms, DUI Fries (make sure you're hungry hungry), the chicken breast sandwich, and they have a solid pastrami sandwich! At first glance Jim's might seem like a dingy hole-in-the-wall, but they actually have some very decent food. They have a massive menu, containing burgers, burritos, tacos, sandwiches. I regularly get the pastrami burger, but all of the burgers I've tried so far have a great charbroiled taste to them, absent in other fast-food burgers. The chili cheese fries are also great. Really the only negative thing I have to point out is how long the orders take to come out, & how small the parking lot is. If you come at the height of lunch/dinner, the drive-thru line might end up in the street. Regardless, Jim's is worth a try if you're feeling on getting food in a fast manner, but are tired of your normal Mickie D's & Chipotles. Overprice customer service not very friendly for returning or new customers. They keep upping the price on everything the food is decent, but you have to have something more than decent food and subpar customer service to be charging those type of prices they used to have a seven dollar specials on burgers or tacos now they've taken the taco special away And they want up to five dollars for one taco when they had two for seven before that I believe it was even lower than that before. they claim it was because of the pandemic but now it feels like they're just trying to get rich. Also, it's very suspicious how they don't like to give receipts when you ask for one. sometimes they will give it to you, but it doesn't have a broke down the price for it each item are the taxes. they just give you a receipt with one price charged off your card. A note to Jim's burgers owners do better for the community stop taking your loyal customers for granted. Tell your employees to respect the people that do patronize your establishment. read more

Do not visit this drive thru unless you have 20-30 min to wait as I did today. Not only have their prices also doubled the portions, quality, and service have dramatically declined. As a local resident for 15 plus years it is clear they prioritize their doordash and uber orders. After waiting for half an hour in a drive thru i wasnt greeted with an apology, instead I could visibly packing to go orders. Become a ghost kitchen and shut your drive thru down immediately. Jim's is always the move, yea their prices have gone up, but hey they survived the pandemic & the quality of food didn't drop, their burgers are the best because they toast the bun & the burger is never soggy or drippy! I also like the little red basket they place your food in if you eat inside. Chili cheese fries are also top notch, cheese is always melted chili is always hot fries are always crispy. the way they do fries here at Jim's is A+ Chocolate shake is certified GOOD. I've been wanting to try the Buffalo chicken wrap & a few other things like the pastrami & the chicken dinner but if it ain't broke don't fix it I stick with the basics & I am always so satisfied! The food was excellent and ready quickly! Lots of hard working people in the kitchen. The seasoned fries were amazing and the avocado bacon burger was fantastic. The avocados were creamy and the bacon was lean without nasty chunks of fat you usually get when you order anything with bacon. We also had a couple of their hot dogs and they were excellent. I go to CSULB and tried this because it was close and it turned out to be a hidden gem of a family ran burger joint! Update: once I found a roll of paper towels in the back of my car and cleaned the spilt milkshake from the lid that didn't fit (frustrated they didn't have a restroom for customers), I tried the food. The cheeseburger is your average fast food cheeseburger (I noticed my son didn't finish his) , the fries soggy, yet flavorful and my deep fried mushrooms inedible for me, needed to be drained better from the fryer. The fries that I got were not good, they were definitely not what I wanted or ordered. They were smaller and only had feta cheese on top which just made them dry with a chunky texture. I came here to try something new in my city of Long Beach and I've passed Jim's Burgers countless times on my way home. What enticed me was that they had both breakfast and a drive thru which was perfect for a lazy morning breakfast. I got the steak and eggs with hash browns I also ordered two tacos for my roommate with carne Asada. I can't comment on the inside since it was drive thru but the outside has a friendly appeal and the restaurant has a wide range of cost friendly deals. Grew up dining at Jim's Burgers and loving and enjoying the food that they would provide, the food was high quality and never disappointed. Unfortunately, this past visit I had ordered a Teriyaki platter. While eating the Teriyaki platter I had found a hair in the rice, I was mid chewing when I felt a long hair coming out of the rice, I right away spit it out and felt disgusted. I called and explained to them what had occurred and how I found the hair, the lady that answered was extremely nice and understanding and said no problem come tomorrow and we will refund you your money. I went the following day for the refund and when I was approached by a woman named Liz, she asked me "Did you bring the food back, you're supposed to bring the food back." I was in disbelief that she had asked me that question, how am I supposed to store my plater in my fridge that contained a hair and the food I had spit back? She was upset that I didn't bring the food back and. Questioned me as if I would lie about this experience. CUSTOMER SATISFACTION is defined as a measurement that determines how happy customers are with a company's products, services, and capabilities. After this experience with LIZ, there was no representation of great customer service or customer satisfaction. I had then taken pictures to prove to her as how it was long and in the rice. Please work on training your employees on learning how to handle situations that may occur in the fast-food restaurant industry and explain how the customers are the personnel that helps keep establishments open. read more
