We've been waiting for this place to open up and we're excited to try it since it's so close to us. Recently I saw that it was open so I decided to get some to-go to try it out. The service was polite and welcoming even over the phone. Inside, the decor was nice with a fun aquarium projection on the floor when you walk in. Cozy and simple without seeming too busy. I ordered simple for the first time: 1lb of head on shrimp with their mild version of all of the sauces mixed into one. The shrimp freshness was so so in comparison to even our go-to spot (not across the street). It came with one corn and two potatoes in the bag. The reason I'm rating it at a 3 is because of the sauce. It was very watery and bland, despite having mala as one of the seasonings. The substance of the sauce itself was next to none. I like being able to pick up some of the garlic and seasonings to eat with my rice and seafood. There was nothing to pick up here. Essentially, it was just like having seafood in a bowl of mala tang. Pricing wise, pretty on par with other places at $16.99 right now for a pound of head on shrimp. I want to reiterate that the review is based on the food and not the service. We will try again in 6 months after the dust settles from their grand opening because we really want this place to be good. read more

Service was great and very attentive, I loved the food! My daughter and I tried the 1lb shrimp with the mixed sauce and it came with one corn and one large potato. The sauce was delicious, not too thick, and not overly spicy or garlicky, it also didn't upset my stomach unlike the place across the street. The shrimp was fresh and cooked to perfection, and the staff was so polite and attentive, they even gave us 2 complimentary pieces of California rolls, which was a pleasant surprise! I ended up ordering a whole lobster which came with 1 potato and 1 corn. $22.99!!!! I couldn't believe the price, I even told the cashier WOW that's a good price. I asked for another potato and corn($2 each). My bill was $46.00. Ok well since I was in a hurry I wasn't calculating correctly. Got home, no extra sides included! Then when I cracked open my lobster it was shriveled up from being cooked too long, very tough to chew. I called them about my 2 concerns. 1- I didn't get my extra sides, 2- the main concern, why was my bill so much. The gentleman on the phone explained its $22.99 per pound, which ended up being $34.99. Menu says nothing of the sort, nor does it say "market price". Then he said the cashier should have explained it. Nice accountability there team player. In compensation he said sorry and next time I get a free $2 side! No thank you. Let me say that the pasta was cooked perfectly al dented in a tasty Alfredo sauce. It contained slices of fish cake which was a nice touch. As for the lobster, it came in pieces amounting to a whole, small lobster without the tail. Unfortunately, the lobster was overcooked so the meat was on the dry side, tough and chewy. I'm attributing this to it being prefrozen too. After eating, I nicely informed the server about how good the pasta was, but I also voiced my concerns over the lobster quality, and that the meat should be moist and tender almost like scallops. She accepted my review graciously, saying they are always open to improvements and thanked me. If the cook will take my advice to heart, this will be an awesome dish for the price. The seafood was really good and I was surprised by how big/how much meat was in the blue crabs. The potatoes were huge, good amount of hardboiled eggs, plus the corn was sweet, juicy, and fresh.
