My order usually takes about 15 minutes to prepare. *PARKING* There's street parking (most likely have to pay unless it'a Sunday) near the store. I would recommend parking at the 15 minute parking spots (free) on 20th street if you're just picking up an order. *FOOD* My go-to order is the kimchi kimbap without mayo. I like how generous the filling for the kimbap and it's perfect for when I want something to eat but don't want to eat a super filling meal. The prices are also pretty reasonable for the amount of food you get! Two stars was taken off because I feel like the kimbap can have a little more flavor - like if they brushed their kimbap with more sesame oil! Doordashed a late order for some dinner. Soon Doo Boo and a Ton Katsu Bowl. First - this order got put together fast and the dasher got this to use quickly (much faster than the first estimated time). That was great since I was huuuungry. Dinner was packaged pretty well. Soon Doo Boo came in a plastic container that warped a little with the heat - that's how hot it was! Now - it's not the same as having it in a pot, but the flavors were good, had a kick and it had a bunch of mussels in it. I can't say that it was my favorite soon doo boo, but for what I would classify as a fast casual it hit the spot on a cold night. The Ton Katsu came in a few parts. One tray with rice and pork (and that pork stayed nice and crispy). Another container with the mushroomy sauce, one for shredded cabbage and dressing too. This kept everything in the best shape possible before you assembled it the way you'd like it. This dish was also good, but we were split on the mushroom sauce. Large Taro Milk Tea, $3.50 prior to tax- Major disappointment. Requested this to be made with no ice and 50% sweetener. Was told this drink could not be made hot. Was sickeningly sweet, even at 50% sweetener. When we told the employee, so she fixed it. But when we got it back, it tasted like she just added water to it instead of more tea. Was horrible and probably the worse taro milk tea that I have ever had. Large Coconut Milk Tea, $3.50 prior to tax- For some reason none of the drinks could be made hot for some reason. So I ordered this with no ice and also 50% sweetener. No surprise here, this drink was also disgustingly sweet. --------------------- (Total= $15.70 after tax) Major disappointing experience here, wouldn't come back here. By the way, the unisex restroom is in the back of this place. When I was walking towards the back, you have to pass the kitchen. What really surprised me was hearing a dog barking. Peaking inside the kitchen, behind the curtain, I saw a little dog in the kitchen. That violates food health codes.... even though I am a major dog person, I am not a fan of unsanitary conditions, especially since I had ordered something that was made in the kitchen. I've eaten here and taken to-go many times. The experience varies depending on what you get. Their bibimbap and kimchi fried rice were okay, but their beef bulgogi bowl was quite disappointing. Its only redeeming feature was the nicely cooked egg, because the rest was mediocre meat on top of carb-on-carb, rice and noodles. For my to-go order once, they had sickly sweet tteokbokki and instead of soondubu-jigae they mistakenly put another soup. Stopped by for some warm dinner with the roomies on a weekend evening. It's a literal mom-and-pop shop and legit Korean with barely enough room for larger groups, but it feels homey. The main reason I give it an average star rating is because of my being spoiled with Korean food in California. I went with the rice cake soup dduk buki which was a little too sweet for me, but I originally wanted the tofu jjigae (soup. Jjigae was sold out when we ordered, and dduk buki was not shabby. I think their rice cakes were made perfectly! I loved that part for sure. The taro milk tea with boba/pearls was just alright. I wouldn't come here for the boba, as the taro tasted powdered and still too sweet for me when I ordered 0% sweetness. HOWEVER, the noodles and rice cakes are cooked so yummily. I also think they were shortstaffed because we waited in line for 15-20 mins while the staff was trying to catch up with the orders and pumping out food/drinks. We thought this would be a faster option, but it ended up taking longer than expected. That's alright, we weren't in any rush :) Parking is not fun around this area, so that was a big bummer already when we were driving around hangry. Luckily, we found street parking above two blocks down. We love how there are napkins and ice water at every table, but again...space is limited inside, so I would refrain from coming here in large parties. Starting with my 4-star items, I had the Beef Bulgogi Bowl and the Taro Milk Tea. The Bulgogi was a bit too salty for my taste. I loved the touch of the glass noodles and the fried egg, as I truly felt brought the bowl together. YES, there are 2 carbs in this bowl, including the rice. The bowls are HUGE, you can share this bowl, along with a soup. For the milk teas, I tried the Taro Milk Tea. The Taro Milk Tea was wayyy too sweet and sugary. If I could have diluted my drink, I would have! Next, my 5-star soup, the Soon Doo Boo Jjigae. If you love spice, and if you're just as picky with your Jigaes as I am, you will NOT be disappointed with K-Bop's. The stew has an assortment of soft tofu, seafood, onions, and mushrooms. Water was already at each table. The beef bulgogi bowl was better than I expected. Good portion with a lot of beef. Mango green tea was mediocre. I didn't eat the kimchi that much but it was pretty alright. My friends also enjoy their food. We were probably the only ones there at the time so the food came out relatively fast. Oh, i see you don't see what the offense is here, so I'll explain it further for you and your customers. To confirm the order the driver is picking up the procedure is for the driver to give the customer's name, the unique order number that only the driver and restaurant have, and if necessary, the contents of the order. Restaurants are even provided with the photograph of the driver. In this case, I approached the counter with a smile and a friendly "hello" and gave the customer's name. The employee then asked to see my phone. When I asked why she said she needed to confirm I'm the driver - and she said it in an accusatory, impolite tone. She did not follow the procedure and she was rude. We ARE NOT required to show out private cell phones to anyone. If you are having a problem with food going missing or being taken by persons pretending to be drivers, the solution is to do your job better and NOT take it out by treating the hard working men and women who are helping to keep your business alive like criminals. It's so deflating when a restaurant worker/owner does this. Imagine if we asked you to open the bag and show us everything in the order is correct? It would be condescending. Most restaurants follow the established procedure. If it is not sufficient, start your own delivery service and make your own rules. read more

For $9, you would expect to get some protein other than small remnants of a scrambled egg. On my first bite, I had to immediately send it back to the kitchen because my top ramen was undercooked. They threw it back on the stove and simmered it for another couple of minutes and brought it back out to me. This time it was cooked but was still bland and tasteless. I was hugely disappointed and just most of the instant noodles there. The jasmine tea was very low quality with little to no aromatic notes. When I finished sipping it I was left with a half cup of ice still. Beware that the other "teas" has 0 tea at all. I asked what was in the coconut tea and was told it was just coconut powder, creamer, and ice. I didn't know you can call a drink "tea" if there was no tea at all. I've been to K-Bop twice, and although I enjoy the food and atmosphere, the price necessitates that I deduct a star ;( I've had both the beef bibimbap and the beef bulgogi bowl ($9 and $10 respectively). The beef is quite tender and flavorful, although some pieces can be on the chewy side. The bibimbap has more vegetables and variety than the beef bulgogi bowl, but less meat. The beef bulgogi bowl is the crowd favorite with a fried egg, japchae (glass noodles), white rice, and a hearty serving of beef. However, next time, I would probably try out the kimbap for more variety or something lighter, since both dishes are pretty carb-heavy. Both times, the portions were good enough for 2 meals, but that's the case for most restaurant servings.
