I've been here a few times when I was on campus, and it's my first time trying their beef bulgogi bowl! I used to always just get their kimbap. The beef bulgogi bowl is surprisingly a bigger portion than I thought and I love the gochujang (red sauce) mixed with the mayonnaise. They go very well together. It's a little bit spicy that's typical of gochujang. There's a fried egg on top! They also added cut up japchae (glass noodles) with the rice, which was new to me but it works as the rice and noodles are both soft. The space is very small but we went during irregular lunch hours (3 PM) so we were able to sit after ordering from the kiosks. They play Korean music and I believe the owner is usually there. This is on Guad so it may be tough to find parking but we parked in West Campus on Sunday aka free parking day.

although there are better places out there, this place is filled with memories for me. late night studying were always fueled by their beef bulgogi bowl - rice and japchae noodles mixed with sweet and savory bulgogi. good enough for two meals and will always take me back! the chicken meat tastes a little strange though *.*

Kimbap sounds good to me, often. We always seem to leave our own sriracha bottle behind when we think about eating Kimbap. Small place inside, two 4 top and some counter seats along two sides of the wall. Street paid parking is supposedly available, but nothing was open. There is supposed to be an Air Garage parking a block away, but not seeing an entrance, so not super convenient for grabbing carry out much. By the University of Texas at Austin. My husband's patience is wearing thin as we do loops to find parking and keep running into one ways to get to where we want. Finding street parking but requires UT permit parking, which we clearly don't have at all. Finally found street parking a couple of blocks away. Order and pay at the kiosk. We grabbed 3 tuna Kimbap, added jalapeño and kimchi, original Kimbap and tteokbokki with extra rice cake and dumplings. Order number 92, sent us a text with the receipt. $54.62 Warning the extra spicy was too spicy for me, made eating the Tteokbokki rather painful. Most of the rice cake was overcooked and mushy, except for one piece that was super hard for some reason. The dumplings fell apart on us. The hard boiled eggs were good. The Tteokbokki was just average. The tuna and original Kimbaps are both pretty good, some bites were bigger than others, the ends mostly. The rolls are nicely packed and full. The Kimbaps are a solid 4.

Came here for a late lunch, ordered a beef bulgugi bowl and it came out pretty quick. I loved that there's noodles mixed with rice and an egg inside the bowl - the sauce is delicious and it def enhance the beef. The price is decent for the portion and I think I will return in the future!

This hole in the wall restaurant has some incredible Korean food! Located on the drag, it is frequented by UT students. I can see why business is booming during peak hours because the food is absolutely phenomenal. It's a small little restaurant but very well kept and clean. The owner was there and he is a nice guy. Quick and quality service all around. I enjoyed the kimbap and Dduk boki. The Dduk boki had just the right spicy kick to it and had eggs and fish cakes in it. If you're in the mood for some great Korean food, this is the place to visit. I can't wait to try more of the yummy dishes on the menu.

This really hit the spot for me! I don't often get Korean food and if I do, it's usually just KBBQ or a bulgogi bowl. But I love a good kimbap and it's rare to find a shop that sells it near home. When visiting Austin, for some reason I was craving Korean food. They are located along a row full of Asian food spots. Kiosk for easy ordering. Great service. I wished I ordered ordered more food but this was filling enough for dinner.

This was a great place to eat before an event downtown. Fast service and yummy food! We will check it out again when we are back in Austin.

Not bad Not bad. I was really craving some tteokbokki and if you don't know, they're basically thick fat noodles (rice cakes) that are simmered in a thick spicy and kind of sweet sauce, effing delicious. With some of that cheese on top, chefs kiss. If you can get those added extras, with fish cakes, noodles, etc. even better. The dishes here aren't too pricey but they do give you pretty nice size portions. Meat was good, rice, egg. No complaints, I'd probably come back here again if I'm ever in the area! This shop is small, but there are a couple of tables inside. The hardest part of this journey would probably be the parking, especially if it was on a busy day. There are paid parking slots and a garage available, it isn't too bad.

No bathrooms (that i saw, but I grabbed something to go so I'm not positive). No parking. It's off the street so street parking or parking at the dominos or co-op parking a few blocks up the street. This is not a gluten free facility. I had the lunch plate with rice, egg, kimchi, and spicy chicken. There was a couple of pot stickers but I didn't eat them, but they looked great! I also got some boba and milk tea. Friendly service and quick too! Very good food and spicy chicken was mild spice for my spice loving people!

A really simple Korean restaurant on UT campus. There's street parking. The food menu is small and affordable. I tried their Kimbop, fried dumpling, and dduk boki. I dip my fried dumplings into the dduk boki. All of them were good!

This is a gem in San Marcos! We came here on our way to visit a friend out in wimberly. We were hungry and decided to get some Korean that day. The place itself is a bit small but enough seating for a crowd. The environment is cute and nicely decorated. The food is amazing! I had gotten the Don Katsu Kimbop and it was to die for! So much flavor and the eel sauce is always a great touch on top. It was very filling so depending on your hunger level, you may have some leftovers for later. My gf had gotten the beef bulgogi kimbop I believe and that was fantastic as well. The rice is super sticky which I loved! Overall, I highly recommend this spot if you're in the mood for Korean. You will not be disappointed.

Ever since Fall 2018, I've been a huge fan of this place! I order my usual milk tea and beef bulgogi bowl and it's always been so yummy. The owner is super sweet and cares about his customers. Ambiance is very happy and although it's small, it's v nice and intimate for convos and good lunches or dinners.

I had only stopped by this Food Truck (area) to try Desnudo Coffee, and spotted this business. I had heard some good things about Veracruz, but I was planning lunch elsewhere. Well, that other spot was CLOSED ON WEDNESDAYS! Seeing my situation, I saw it as opportunity to try the options at Veracruz --- including the famous from Food Network, migas taco. I ordered 4 tacos: the migas, migas poblano, shrimp macha (!!), and the Dona Reyna tacos. All of these specific tacos were priced between $6 and $6.75 per taco, not bad in Austin, and not bad considering the quality of said tacos. As you can see from my order, I opted on the more "novel" choices and they did not disappoint; that said, I do HIGHLY recommend the two variations of the migas taco and the shrimp macha taco. Oh, the shrimp macha was so FIRE, the flavors were bold and smoky with a kiss of heat. The migas tacos were FULLY LOADED, and the scramble with the tortilla chips were flavorul. TIP: They will ask corn or flour --- do flour. Everything is handmade, but those corn tortillas fall apart with all the sauce. Flour = durable and flavorful. I had plans, but the Universe had other plans for me that were superior. Try Veracruz All Natural --- and if your limited on $$$, you can snag 3 EXCEPTIONAL LOADED TACOS for about $20, that you will not find anywhere else!

I walked into this unassuming restaurant and perused the menu, which felt like Mexican tarot cards. Pictures. Titles. Small description. It all looked basic. But simple food made with fresh ingredients and seasoned well has won Michelin stars. Unfortunately, I don't foresee them receiving one. The al pastor taco was tasty. The steak taco had too much fat in it. If I was strictly bashing this review on the food. I'd give it a three. It's not worth the price. Now, the service seemed to be decent until I didn't put a tip on my takeout order. Things seemed to go south. When my name was called, I grabbed the small paper bag and paused. No guacamole. If I hadn't have looked, I could've walked a really long wasteful before noticing. Maybe long enough to not go back. The last behind the counter, said okay I'll get it. It felt like a chore. I said thank you and made the long walk fighting the heat of the dragon's breath once again. The story does not stop there, I thought 3 tacos, a drink, and guacamole couldn't honestly cost $43. The guilt of spending that kind of money on such little food that was also just average, screamed in my conscience. Well, that was because the woman also had not given me my tres leches, which was going to be for my wife. I took the long walk back, stood at the counter for what felt like 10 minutes, and again it felt like a chore to get me what I paid for. No sorry. I would suggest taking a little longer walk to Taqueria de Diez

Each of these were executed to perfection. The guacamole was fresh, topped with pomegranate seeds and well seasoned. The chips that came with it were light, crispy and it was gone in a flash! The Brussel Sprouts were cooked perfectly...tender and flavorful...not greasy...literally the best I've ever had. The Crispy Macha potatoes were next level!!! It was painfully boring. We had our 6-year-old, who is head of the Picky Eaters Society, so we ordered bread with butter. This 6-year-old, who eats bread on the daily, took one bite and wouldn't eat any more. We even get gluten-free bread regularly, and he eats it. The bread was fine, but don't expect flavor. By some miracle, they even made butter tasteless. I considered calling the Vatican to see if this was some holy, divine miracle, but my wife suggested maybe the main course would be better. We settled on the pesto pasta with chicken added for an additional fee. The pasta was good. Great texture, good flavor, and the combination of ingredients was good, but it's nothing original. It's pesto pasta. It's a classic. I appreciate the pomegranate seeds on the guacamole because it's original, it's clever, and it's different. We also ordered a special soda drink for our son, and it had a small black bug on top. I had them take it back and replace it. I kind of expected a "Listen, we apologize for the bug. Here's half off dinner," or something, but nothing. Service was fine, and it's a decent atmosphere.
