Luckily I was able to snag a spot with a group of friends at K Team BBQ to watch the World Cup game and we had an amazing time (despite the Korea team loss). The restaurant is casual and clean and I loved the tile tabletops. Service was so attentive, the meats were cooked perfectly, and the grill was kept nicely organized throughout our whole meal. Everything is ordered a la carte and all the meats and banchan were simply so good and of great quality. The pork belly and pork jowl were amazing and we really enjoyed the beef brisket too. The steamed egg is so wonderfully fluffy. They provide lettuce and perilla leaves to wrap your meat in as well. Parking lot available with valet.

Was very impressed by this KBBQ place! Parking lot is free for lunch but they start charging in the afternoon. We went on a Sunday and everything tasted fresh, all the meats were good quality and there was an abundance of sides to wrap our food with. The price is very reasonable for the amount of food you get too! This has become one of my top KBBQ places, especially because they provide perilla leaves. I usually find the side meals to be very mid but here the spicy rice cakes were so addicting and the steamed egg has so much flavor! I also couldn't get enough of the green onion salad. We also got Kteam galbi which was insane with the butter and the ribeye brisket. I loved all the pork we ordered (pork neck, pork jowl), you probably can't go wrong here.

We used to go to Parks bbq because their meat quality and side dishes(banchan) are the best. This restaurant is owned by same person so we tried here today. We had beef tung(woo sul) and beef rib(galbi). Can't beat the quality but still pretty good. Side dishes were minimum but there were vegies, egg pot and spicy rice cake pot for free. We ordered kimchi fried rice after and it was good as well. Overall service is good and atmosphere is fun for young generation. I liked the theme.

Finally got around to trying this place after it was heavily recommended by some friends and I think I've found my new favorite kbbq spot. Although it is a bit of a trek to get to ktown, I think if anything brings us in the area, we will be torn between here and Han Baht. (Yes, it's that good). First, service is insane. The most attentive servers that really check your table to see if anything needs topping up before you have to ask. They also cook the food for you. Meat quality is good but everything that it comes with is even more impressive (see pictures). We also added a Kimchi stew, foolishly thinking we might need more food, it was probably the best Kimchi stew we've had in a while! Mind you, we came for lunch on a Saturday and were one of two tables. Valet parking for $3 (cash only).

Much more intimate than Parks across the street and yes they do cook for you too. I would suggest making reservations at least a day ahead if you want to eat here. It's usually crowded and getting a table for four can be difficult. The quality and service is exceptional. The kimchi fried rice (see pictures) was my favorite and was as good as it looks. Parking is impossible unless you valet or get lucky on the street.

The pork belly KBBQ was really good, flavorful and well cooked. I also loved the variety of side dishes, and the kimchi fried rice was delicious and satisfying. The service could be better,we had to get the waiter's attention a couple of times, which took away a bit from the overall experience, but the food itself makes it worth trying.

I've been looking for a new KBBQ place to take my family and I came across this online. I saw someone posted a photo of the checker pattern tables and I thought it was different from other KBBQ place. I called and surprisingly they take reservation! I was so happy because I hate waiting in line. Imagine waiting on a Friday for dinner. It was for a party of 4 and I arrived 20 mins early . They were able to seat us right away. The menu is simple and easy to read. Here's what we got for the table: Steamed egg Spicy rice cake Beef tongue Beef brisket Thin frozen pork belly x 2 Spicy acorn noodle Kimchi fried rice Terra x 2 Diet Coke Service was great! The ladies are so nice and they cook for you. Looking around I think this restaurant is best for a group of 4 or a group of 6. I loved everything we ate here and if I did not mention this already, it is not AYCE. I miss having potato as a side dish and would have loved to see it offered here. They do offer more condiments than other places and my family wants to go back again next week. Parking was not difficult since it's valet. I believe it was $3, very reasonable.

This place is great for non ayce kbbq. The atmosphere is lively. It's loud but not loud enough to where you can't converse with your friends and the servers and service is very good and easy to get ahold of. Almost all the meats we got were excellent. The only one we were ok with was the short rib. The pork jowl was amazing. Same for the beef tongue and brisket. The pork belly was also very flavorful! The banchan was pretty good though it seemed to be missing a few of what I'm use to. However the banchan itself was very high quality. At the end you can ask for the fried rice with egg after the grilling is done and all that's left is veggies. The steamed egg and kimchi Jjigae is a must for sides. This place takes reservations thankfully. Parking is going to be valet only unless you find street parking which is a whole mission in and of itself. Pricing wise. I didn't end up spending more than 60 surprisingly when with alcohol and a large group. Highly recommend this place for high quality mid-range kbbq.

Absolutely a must whenever in town and definitely our go to KBBQ!! Great quality reasonable prices and amazing service!!! Highly recommend the thinly sliced pork belly!! Pork jowl and KTeam Kalbi is ridunkulous!! Do not sleep on the fried rice!!!

been here two times and both times were fire! Love the small menu and top quality meat. Banchan is really good too. I've come here with a party of 8 both times and service was great and attentive. Place feels clean and well kept. Will definitely be back

Very high quality meats for a slightly more affordable price, they are affiliated with Parks BBQ which is my favorite spot in all of LA. Really enjoyed the steamed egg, ssam spread, and the grilled kimchi and banchan that accompanied our order. They have Parks Beer here too, which we loved at Parks BBQ, and is definitely a must try. The vibes were young and clean and nice, and I'd definitely come again.

This was our first time here, and we enjoyed it! The vibe is casual and welcoming. We ordered a variety of meats, including both thin and thick cuts of pork, as well as skirt meat. The quality of meat did not disappoint. I appreciated that they brought out different types of kimchi to cook alongside the meat. They provided ssam (assorted lettuce, perilla leaves, and my favorite, rice cakes) which was a nice touch. We also ordered dwaenjangjjigae, which was flavorful. As complimentary service, they gave us ddukbokki and gaeranjjim (thank you, K team BBQ!). The ddukbokki was surprisingly good, with a kick of spice and a peppery flavor. To top it off, we ordered bokeumbap with the left over pork oil and it tasted great with the rice being crispy on the bottom. I think our family has found our new go-to Korean BBQ place. Overall, I'd rate food as a 4.3, but because of service I'm rounding it to 5!!

Overpriced. Meat quality doesn't match pricing. Could've gotten same or better quality meat at TGI KBBQ. Portions are small.

Hangari Kalguksu is doing really well for themselves! It is good to see. There have been so many changes, but I am not a fan of the changes. What was once meticulously fresh prepared side dishes are now generic looking out of a jar side dishes. They have started to feature more things and have expanded their menu, as well as expanded their shop so that it is much bigger. Still packed! Parking is still valet and a hassle. The waiters and waitresses now speak perfect english, which was nice. Kalguksu is still very good. Overall, it feels more commercial than homely now. As a commercial restaurant, it is good. However, not a place I would travel for anymore. I can get this experience from most local spots. I am keeping this review at a 5 star, because it still is worthy of a 5 star. However, it is a lesser 5 star than 13 years ago.

I used to love this place. I first came here over 10 years ago, back when the restaurant was about…read morehalf its current size before the expansion. It was one of my favorite spots for kalguksu, so I was excited to come back. We visited on a Saturday around 2:00 PM. The first thing that stood out was the wait. There was a line outside despite there being numerous vacant tables inside the restaurant. I'm not sure why customers were expected to wait outside, especially during the current LA heat wave, when seating appeared to be available. While waiting, we were given menus. The first thing I noticed was the price increase. The clam kalguksu is now $22.99, which felt quite expensive, even accounting for inflation. Once seated, we were served the rice with doenjang paste and the three varieties of kimchi. Unfortunately, I found almost all of the kimchi to be noticeably saltier than I remembered, with the exception of the radish kimchi, which was enjoyable. I honestly don't remember the kimchi tasting this salty in the past. It even made us wonder whether it was intended to discourage customers from requesting refills, though I hope that wasn't the case. We ordered the new beef rib kalguksu and the clam (bajirak) kalguksu. The beef rib broth was overwhelmingly salty for our taste, to the point that I mentioned it to our server. The hand-cut noodles themselves were still excellent, but I also noticed that the clam kalguksu contained significantly fewer clams than I remember from previous visits--roughly half the portion I used to receive years ago. The noodles remain well made, but it's difficult to justify the current price when the portions seem smaller and the broths are considerably saltier than before. What originally made this restaurant special to me was its fresh, clean-tasting broth, flavorful kimchi, and generous amount of clams. Unfortunately, my recent visit didn't live up to those memories. With so many excellent kalguksu restaurants in the area, I don't see myself returning. I understand that restaurants evolve and may adjust recipes to appeal to a broader customer base, especially since most of the diners during my visit appeared to be non-Korean. However, I genuinely miss the balanced flavors, generous portions, and value that made this restaurant stand out years ago.

Good quality, cooked perfectly, pairs really well with the chili oil. So good with the accompanying rice Corn latte: order if you like unique desserts. If you're searching for some of the city's best pork, then those in the know will bring up Ham Ji Park. For 2 decades, generous platters of pork ribs and pork neck stew decked every table. Now, our Korean friends lament the loss of their favorite pork joint in the city. The Koreatown proper location is located in the Royal Plaza mini-mall, just a few blocks off bustling Wilshire. Discounted parking is available in a lot across the street from the Chevron gas station. From the street, the entrance is flanked by potted plants and an enclosed street-ery. Inside, stainless steel chairs are pressed up against wooden tables, each outfitted with a metal grill. Oppressive fluorescent lighting shines down on the stone grey walls, which are left undecorated apart from a few flatscreens. Multi-lingual chatter blends with the sizzle of platters. I visited with some friends for a weeknight dinner, and about half of the tables were occupied. We shared a spread of grilled platters and sizzling soups. The meal began with a carafe of barley tea and a mostly standard spread of banchan. Across our food, the best dish was the signature Charbroiled Pork Spare Rib. The ribs were flavorful without feeling gamey, and the meat was complemented by sweet caramelized onions. The pork ribs handily outdid the good-not-great Charbroiled Beef Short Rib. Lastly, the Milt and Cod Rose with Vegetables stew was fishy and briny, appropriately flavored for the Korean palate. The service was appropriately attentive, although I would've appreciated more intentional refills of our banchan ramikens. The rib plates cost upward of $35 each, while the soup was just under $30. The portions were hearty; a single entree platter could reasonably feed 2 moderately hungry bellies. It's a shame to hear that Ham Ji Park has closed; I'm kicking myself for not trying their pork neck stew earlier.
