It's the turkey sausage and it's so nasty. Just everything was wrong. I paid $20 for 2 eggs, bacon, sausage, has brown, and toast. Most Anywhere else is $14 or less for that. Over medium eggs are not hard to cook but they got it wrong. The muffins used to be a choice for the bread options with meals- now it's not an option but it's like $5 for a single on my muffin now. $10 for a small bowl of fruit. The family Meal was bigger and better and was literally 1/2 the price it is now. (It used to be our go to). I get that there's inflation, but this place is just ridiculous . They should've not worried so much about getting their liquor license to serve champagne and beer and worried more about the food quality and prices they were doing just great with that before they added the alcohol. They used to be people waiting in their waiting area. It was not packed with people waiting today. Nobody waiting. And many open tables. I wonder why. We won't be back. Really great breakfast/brunch spot in Rancho Cucamonga! Husband was craving waffles, and I checked Yelp and came across Kickback Jacks. We were already sold on the menu items. I wish we had come a little earlier. We arrived before 11am and were told the wait is about 20-25 minutes. It took a lot longer than that. This place does get busy, which means the food is good, but the wait times are going to suck and no reservations on weekends. We were finally seated before noon and got our drink orders in. Their machine for the oat milk coffee was down and for the cappuccino, so I got a hot coffee and husband got a hot chocolate, both delicious. We placed an order of the biscuits and gravey, waffles dirty style, and a light 1 egg side of bacon and pancake breakfast and got a side of their house potatoes. Portions are definitely HUGE and everything tasted so good. Highly recommend the house potatoes, it's enough for two people. After eating what we could we took our leftovers home. After a failed attempt to go to Broken Yolk due their 1 hr 1/2 wait time, my family & I headed to Kickback Jack's. To our surprise, only a 20 minute wait. We were expecting a good 40-45 minutes (It was a Sunday btw). We were given a table & spot where we could also comfortably place our baby's stroller (huge + in our books). We had two different servers. One who took our drink order and another who placed our food order. Both with high positive energy. Their menu look pretty good. I decided to go with their Flapjacks w/ chocolate chips, my family members got omelette's. Let me tell you, each plate serves two people. As long as everyone can agree on sharing, you are set!! COVID SAFETY: I chose to dine-in here and I thought it was generally safe. They do offer both indoor and outdoor seating. The indoor seating was very spaced out so I felt pretty comfortable that they followed the social distancing guidelines. Workers wore masks, however, some didn't wear it properly so that was a bit concerning. FOOD: We ordered two skillets, chilaquiles, french toast, and quesadillas. Our party arrived around 1130 during the week it wasn't very busy at all and we got sat down right away. The waitress was very quick to take our order food came fairly quickly. Order was right. I would say that our waitress was nice she was efficient but would I say she gave excellent service, no but she was efficient. She never came back to ask how our food was never came back to see if there was anything else we need it. We had to chase down the bus boys for refills... Martin is usually very quick. When we went to check out I'm thinking she is the woman manager was very short and KURT and not very nice I'm not quite sure what her problem was but that could stop me from ever going back again. We were shown to our table and was eager to look at their menu. I ordered: the 2 EGG BREAKFAST Breakfast (served with two fresh extra large ranch eggs Over Medium and Two Flap-Jacks). My Girlfriend ordered the Country Fried Skillet. It comes with: Country fried beef steak with sautéed onion, red and yellow bell peppers and mushrooms. Served over home fries. Topped with two eggs and hickory smoked cheddar cheese. Served with a side of country gravy. In addition, I ordered a Banana Nut Muffin. We waited for a bit and I could smell that our order was prepared fresh and hot. Upon looking at our dishes, the portions are really generous in my personal opinion. Both our orders we enjoyed that it was prepared fresh, had flavor and that portion size was satisfying. The Banana Nut Muffin was heated and was prepared that morning. In my personal opinion, I would definitely recommend Kickback Jack's, if you want to try homestyle breakfast. Our overall experience was great and the customer service was excellent. We have been coming here for a million years, my dad specifically requests the strawberry pancakes for Father's Day every single year! Today we came to celebrate a few days early and he got his pancakes. He told our server he likes a lot of strawberries and whipped cream on his pancakes. And they brought him out his pancakes piled high with both! He was in heaven! Honestly, everything from the service to the food was stellar today! We had a great time celebrating our dad and enjoying some super delicious food. Even down to the soup and salad, the meal was just really darn good. And again, service was top notch. I have passed by this place very often and was super curious. Today was the day I decided to try it out. I had my kids with me and my little one wanted pancakes :) we get seated right away (yay). Country Skillet: over powered with potatoes and pretty bland. The gravy that came with it tasted old or funky. Chorizo and eggs: the beans that came with it were definitely not seasoned. Even with cheese on top it needed salt! The rice was okay and the chorizo egg was okay. The guacamole that came with it was pretty dark and looked old. I requested some pics de Gallo which made the flavors come in better. The flour tortillas were rock hard. Kids meal flap jacks: the sausage was burnt. The pancake was huge! I tried a bit and the flavor was there but what threw me off was how it was presented... it's like they didn't care. They put a ball of butter on top of the pancakes and looked like they just tossed some oranges on top. I won't be coming back here unfortunately. We got there early and were seated quickly in the round booth in the back corner of the restaurant which was nice because it was secluded and away from other parties which I always appreciate during COVID times. After perusing the menu for a while (because a lot of things looked good!) I ordered the Country Fried Steak Skillet. It was gigantic! The food was good but I think I would probably order something else next time. It was my first time trying country fried steak and while I liked it- I think it was too large of a portion for me.
