They took our order quickly, but twenty minutes later our coffee had not come yet. We signal to the waitress and within ten minutes our drinks arrive. Moments later and our food is delivered. I don't have a knife. It is obvious from the not quite hot enough to be considered lukewarm food that it has been ready for about fifteen minutes without the benefit of a heat lamp. I gave them two stars because the food would have tasted good if it wasn't cold. A California Scramble is mostly scrambled eggs. They should be hot. read more

I went here for my cousins bday. We decided to do all you can drink mimosas and we each ordered our own food. The food here is decent and honestly is not the highlight of this place. While they do brunch with a side of thai fusion, I though the food was just okay. But the reason Lapisara got four stars from meis because of their all you can drink mimosas and the great service. We came here twice while staying in San Francisco for a few days. The staff's attention to you is as good as I've seen. The quality of the food is excellent, the French Toast was extraordinary. WOW. This place is ridiculously cute. Went for brunch on a staycation and it was nearly perfect. The interior is simple, warm, and inviting. The owner and host was extremely hospitable. The fried chicken Benedict was ridiculous, for lack of a better word. Magic in my mouth... The coffee was good. The potatoes weren't anything to rave about but I'm okay with an excuse to not over indulge in carbs. I'm super curious about the 4 burgers on the menu and I'd love to try the Thai dinner. Had this placed saved and finally got the chance to try it. It's super busy but we got seated at a decent time with only a 10 min wait. It got pretty busy after that so arrive accordingly. The service is not what I expected. They seemed very rushed and not wanting to give advice. We ended up getting the fried chicken Benedict and salmon Benedict. Both came cold the first time. The eggs were a bit over done and the food was overall cold. They took it back, warmed it up and brought it back. Salmon was still not good and they finally remade it. The flavors are great. The chicken was really tender. The potatoes it comes with are really good. The pumpkin spice latte was by far the best I've ever had. Giving a 4 because of the service and cold food. The ambiance is cute, modern, elegant and refreshing with mint as the main theme. Great atmosphere and service. They offer more innovative dishes than your typical pad thai and padseew. The spicy seafood pasta (5 stars) was our favorite with rich flavor - excellent fusion play. The baked salmon (4 stars) was cute and we liked the coconut rice and sauce but the fish itself was a little bland and hard, thought it was a great healthy choice. I found this place on Yelp and it didnt disappoint. I had no reservation so wewalked up on a Saturday morning about 9/10am. There was a line but the wait wasn't too long. We waited for about 15 min before we were seated. We were looking for a good breakfast spot and this place checked all the right boxes. Interior is small but NOT cramped. There was a lot of natural light so the space was bright, sunny and the sevice was great. Waiter was attentive and adjusted our minor requests. Our order was simple: standard eggs, bacon, home fries, omelet and pancake. All the food was fresh, delicious, savory and full of flavor. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE, try the Queen B bacon if you are there for breakfast. The bacon is a thick cut with a hot sweet sauce on top has a nice kick (heat) but not hot. Also, the service is quick--although on weekends, the place is usually packed and people are lining up outside. You may have to wait a little longer on weekends. I love the laidback Sunday ambiance the place has and the interior is like a Pinterest/Instagram dream. They serve a fusion of U.S. and Thai dishes. In the morning, I recommend you try their chicken and waffles as well as their smoked salmon toast. The wait for brunch here wasn't as long as expected: came here on a Saturday at noon, and there were only 5 parties ahead of us. The list moves fast since the restaurant space is pretty roomy, so make sure everyone in your party is here or else they refuse to seat you. I got the Dungeness Crab Omelette, which was plated beautifully with a side of country potatoes and two sourdough baguette toasts. All of their dishes are pretty photogenic, and I definitely eat with my eyes. But my taste buds didn't quite agree with what my eyes saw -- the potatoes were rather odd, with some being overly salty and other pieces being over-and-undercooked or extremely bland. The toasts were stale, but I was able to mask this by eating my omelette on top of them. Eat here if you like the pretty food and atmosphere, but go somewhere else if you want brunch that actually all around tastes good. read more

Lapisara was delicious, with a friendly and attentive host who was able to seat us outdoors quickly on an early Sunday morning (a line forms later). I ordered the french toast platter that came with eggs, bacon, and some fruit. The french toast was a hit! Stuffed, moist, and perfect after a dip into the maple syrup. I cant say enough about how delicious these french toasts were, served at a good temperature with just the right amount of maple syrup on the side. I was also happy with the fresh tasting eggs made perfectly (over easy) with a decent serving size of bacon. It's a fulfilling breakfast, but not one that will have you in a food coma, just the right amount. The table service could be a little more attentive, our coffee arrived with our food which could have arrived earlier, an offer for a refill would have been nice too. If you're visiting and staying in union sq. this is within reach, plan on doing some uphill walking. If you're driving, parking can be tricky but not impossible if you come early. read more

We also both got the matcha latte. Everything tasted great and the presentation was beautiful. The inside of the place is very aesthetically pleasing and the facilities were very clean. Had an awesome meal here while visiting SF with my family. A lot of the other breakfast places were crushed and we got lucky that this spot had seats for us. At first I thought it was because it wasn't as good, but that was false. It's a Thai place, but they know how to do a great brunch. Really nice atmosphere and great service from the staff. Especially for us with a couple of kids as part of our party (ages 5 and 3). Everyone greatly enjoyed the meal and although it wasn't very "Thai" it was still just what we needed: very good food and service during a busy brunch morning. By the time we left there was a long line waiting outside so we must have just gotten lucky with timing when we walked in. This place is then definitely a known spot for great food and attentive service. I'd also shout out the waiter that helped us move the table because my daughter dropped something that slid under the table base. Came back yesterday (3/11) to try the amazing looking Pulled Pork Benedict, and Thai Herb Pork Sausage. Both did not disappoint. The Thai Herb Pork Sausage was a nice side to go along with the Benedict if things weren't porky enough for you. The sausage pretty much had all the elements that I liked; a slight crispy exterior, along with a nice balance of saltiness, spiciness, and tanginess/sourness.
