First off, this place gets a bonus star for being gluten free and listing so many options on their menu. However, I think the flavor is a little lacking and is not up-to-par with other Vietnamese restaurants. Food is decent. Some dishes are a hit or miss. The signature dish "hu Tieu Dai" and egg rolls were not that great, and the pork chops in the "com thit nuong" is pretty dry. I came to this place because I happened to be in the area and was craving pho. I found this place on Yelp, so I thought i would try it out. The pho wasn't really my favorite, so if I ever come here, I'll have to try some of their other dishes. Egg Rolls (2.5/5) - These were alright, but they didn't really have that much filling in them, and they were pretty expensive for the portion size. This place was delicious! From the outside, it doesn't look like much but when you walk inside the place is very quaint & much more nicer than expected. The booths are updated & comfy. The menu itself is more diverse & has seafood along with many vegetarian options ! We ordered the seafood spring rolls, the vegetarian chow mein, the yellow shrimp curry with rice & the clay pot with two toppings. Even though the prices were a little higher than most average restaurants like here, it was worth the price. The food was fresh & they guarantee no MSG & no additives on the menu which is a super plus as MSG is used commonly & always gives me an upset stomach. The chow mein was made with pho noodles since they do not have the flat egg noodles. Although it was different, it tasted good! I didn't even get to touch my other food since the chow mein kept me busy! The vegetables & tofu in the chow mein were so fresh it was delicious ! The shrimp curry was good, the curry itself was tasty! It was a little thinner than most curries but the flavor was amazing ! Well paired with the rice & portions were affordable. Odd experience. Vietnamese food in a diner setting. The food was not good, and relatively expensive (by east San Jose Vietnamese food standards). They serve the thai chicken sauce as dipping for many vietnamese dishes...this is totally not authentic. Vietnamese food does not employ this sauce. It seems like a neighborhood joint; owners seemed to know many of the customers by name, friendly services. Based on the food and prices though, I would not come back. read more

We noticed this restaurant a few weeks ago and decided to give it a try. Interior decor was ok, an upgrade from the previous pizza restaurant that was there. There is plenty of parking in the large shopping center lot. It was 75% full on a Sat. We ordered the Sea Bass Fried Rice and Bún Tht Nng. Both dishes came out within 10 min. and looked delicious. Our first few bites were met with surprise and satisfaction. We thought it would be ok, but it was more, quite good. The Fried Rice plate came with large pieces of Sea Bass and the flavor was delicious. We ended up sharing both plates. The service was pleasant as well. Awful service and nobody helped us. Stood in the front for 5 minutes before somebody gave us any attention (just a Thursday). Finally got seated and we were ready within seconds to order but nobody gave us any attention. The staff (manager?) was focused on something else and when he finally came to do something, he helped this customer that came *after us*. Best Vietnamese in town! Incredibly fresh and high quality ingredients and absolutely delicious. I'm usually not a tofu fan, but they've perfected it. Try the pineapple tofu! The curry is great and so is the crab fried rice. I'm Celiac and the owner is very aware of Gluten Free dietary needs. Almost anything on the menu can be done Gluten Free (he makes some great Gluten Free sauces in house). Service is great - I've become a regular here and I always feel so welcome. I was really hoping that this would be a hit with us, but unfortunately it was NOT. :( The prices seemed to be on the higher side when we first looked over the menu. We decided to try it anyway and hoped for the best. We placed our order and then my husband proceeded to get our chopsticks and spoons from the holder at the end of the table. Most of the spoons were dirty...he barely found two that appeared to be clean. That was not encouraging. I don't know why this is a common problem that we run into at pho restaurants, but it is! Argh! We ordered some spring rolls (fried) as an appetizer. I didn't think I could ever be disappointed by fried spring rolls, but these managed to be the first. I can't even describe the filling because it was just the weirdest texture we have ever had. We both ordered the pho with chicken in it...I think it's called pho ga, but I'm not sure if I have that right. The flavor was OK, but the portion was a major let down considering how much it cost! We were hungry again within half an hour (probably less than that). Our waitress was nice...that is probably what earned the two stars I gave them. I came here because I live in Campbell and the pho restaurant I go to is by El Camino Real I ordered the spicy pho with pork and beef I believe when I got it the smell of the pork nearly made me gag. Once I picked off all the pork from the pho it still had the gross pork essence in it but after some rooster sauce and tinkering it wasn't that bad. 2 pints of beer, 2 bowls of pho, 1 order of fried spring rolls = $47 and some change. Nice and chill on a Friday afternoon; clean and plenty of room to spread out in. Just had a great convo with a friend over lunch for a couple of hours. Ordered seafood soup, no noodles -- broth was light (as expected), and SEAFOOD WAS ON POINT. Like, little crab claws, a big old slab of fresh tender white fish, giant calamari rings, and a prawn so huge it didn't need friends in the bowl with it. Rare to get seafood so fresh and well cooked (not overcooked) at the average sit-down restaurant, so they won some major points for me for that. Broth flavor was not in itself truly inspiring, but the meal was filling and good. Will be back! read more

Leaving a review down the middle because I did not enjoy the breakfast served here. Their Vietnamese dishes are delish, don't get me wrong, but don't have high expectations for breakfast. I ordered the Jammin Beaters, if they didn't use spinach from the frozen box, or overkill it with onions, I guess it would have been okay. I was served my toast first before the meal, and you'd think they'd offer you coffee or juice if ordering breakfast. Ordered a side of sausage, $4.95 for (4) sausage links -- nothing great, probably bargain links from the grocery store. My friends ordered Pho and the BBQ Beef Rolls dish, LeQuy definitely excels with their Vietnamese dishes. This place used to be a Mom & Pop breakfast joint, I was hoping some of their dishes would carry over. Off to Psycho Donuts now to complete this meal. read more

Beyond nice & super tasty! Our usual go-to place was closed so we ordered takeout from LeQuy as a backup. When I was about to pay I noticed that I had gotten the order wrong - maybe I was used to the other place?? I felt terrible. However, everyone there was extremely kind, quickly replaced my order, and gave me a Thai Tea to drink as I waited for my replacement order. I was so humbled by LeQuy's kindness and generosity. We are so grateful that LeQuy is in our neighborhood! This is one of the restaurants we regularly ordered take out from during the pandemic and it never failed to provide our favorite comfort foods, from crab fried rice to BBQ pork rice plates to all types of pho. Pre-pandemic, there's a larger separate room that we've been able to use for group meetings (as the menu is pretty extensive, it's easy for everyone to find something they love). One of the nicer Vietnamese restaurants I've been to. The decor is really nice inside with booths with leather seats, marble counter tops, and beautiful orchids in fancy vases. Their Pho was decent and flavorful but nothing really special and their peanut sauce for their shrimp spring rolls was a bit runny in my opinion. It's a nice place to take family or a date but not really a "damn, I want me some goooood pho" place. I'd rather sit at a less decorated restaurant and stuff my face with better food. read more

This used to be my go-to pho restaurant due to its unique flavor, but it seems to have gone downhill in the past couple months and is beginning to feel like just another pho restaurant. When I first came here, I was hooked by the pho. I was eating here about 2 times a week at one point. The broth tasted light and home-made, and you could taste the complexity of the broth, from the beef bone and ginger, followed by cinnamon. Typical pho restaurants' broth is overly salty in my opinion and doesn't entice me to drink it. And afterward all you want is a giant glass of water to quench your thirst. On the other hand LeQuy's broth was very clear and made me almost want to down the remaining broth if I were still hungry. I used to come here at least once a week, just because it was so delicous, but lately it seems as though their recipe has changed. The broth tastes overly salted and the individual flavors do not come out. Fortunately, their service is still top-notch. But it still irks me to know that what made this restaurant unique is disappearing. read more

We went today for lunch. I think the management has changed since the last time we were there about five years ago. They used to be so friendly. The service was terrible all the staff were sitting down eating while there was a line at the door. I used to love the spring rolls and now they are terrible, mostly lettuce. They never came by to ask us if we liked the meals. We had to wait for twenty minutes to get our check because they were still eating and ignoring us and giving us dirty looks. The best pho hands down. The owner told me that their tofu is non GMO, organic and handmade at the restaurant! What else could a health conscience vegetarian ask for? Recently found out this Vietnamese restaurant nearby my house by walking distance, right next to CVS in that plaza. We got lazy to drive elsewhere, so my girlfriend and I decided to give it a try, since we Asians only like to eat Asian foods. We ordered 1 order of pho ga with thigh meats (aka chicken pho) & 1 order of spring rolls (with a combination of Pork and shrimp) & 2 orders Thai Ice Tea. The restaurant was clean, spacious and lots of settings/ booths. The customer service was mediocre, not that impressive. For their foods, pho ga was very bland and the chicken piece we had tasted like chicken breast not thigh because it was not juicy at all. Their spring rolls were very average as well, I couldn't remember if they were tasty or not, just something to fill up your stomach. It was kind of disappointing for their foods, it's better off going somewhere else to eat real authentic Vietnamese Foods, don't waste your money here. The only thing I like was their Thai Ice Tea, it was sweet and good :) If I get lazy again to drive to other food places, I will probably come back but I hope not (lol!) read more

Up front: This review is based on one visit and one dish. Pretty much on a whim, I stopped by for a bowl of pho, but I saw Bun Bo Hue on the menu and ordered it. It was incredibly good. Outstanding. I hesitate to say it's the best because I haven't tried every pho place in the South Bay (unlike some reviewers). To break it down: Broth gets 5 stars, noodles get 5, meat only 4. That's 4.67 which I round up to 5 stars. Price 12.50. Sadly there's no cheap pho anymore, but in this case I was happy to pay it. read more

Went here with my girlfriends last week. First off, I never did approve vietnamese restaurants combining chinese food in their menu. But oh well. We ordered the vegetable spring rolls which is average. Ordered the bbq pork vermicelli, was disappointed as it had more lettuce that the vermicelli. Stopped in on the way home after picking up the car from the repair shop. Read the reviews and I should have ordered Pho. I had a hankering for grilled pork chops and my stomach won. The meat wasn't as flavorful as a I have experienced at other places. It was OK. I plan to go back and order the Pho since this place is known for it. Everyone around me had a steaming bowl of Pho.
