This was a sort of business brief lunch. Met a colleague of mine at noon, weekday. It was getting filled fast. I reviewed the menu on my way there: sounded inviting but the actual dishes were just okay. They were freshly made given it just opened, but my chicken and vegetables left a greasy layer over my palate. Sign of poor quality oil. My colleague had a bento box. I noticed she ate all but the sesame chicken. The service was flat: order, bring food, give a cheque. But it is a fairly affordable lunch /dinner place on the UES, 61& Lex, so this sort of in-and-out ambiance/service to be expected. 3.5 stars.

Overall: the food, environment and service was good. We had the gluten-free sesame chicken, General Tso's chicken, and steamed pork dumplings. Both chicken dishes were fine but if you are looking for an appetizer I would recommend avoiding the GF steamed pork dumplings - they tasted very doughy (wish I went with the fried ones instead).

5 stars for the GLUTEN FREE general tsos chicken! It was SO good, gf or not. We also had spring rolls which were good, pineapple fried rice which was just okay (wouldn't get again) and a gf chocolate cake that was good! Highly recommend, especially if you're gluten free and missing chinese food!

Sigh, another New York place I NEED in Arizona. Never have I ever seen gluten free low mein EVER. And it was sooooo good. Looked and tasted just like the regular version. Also got the crispy orange chicken gluten free (not on the menu but they said they could do it for us). I've missed orange chicken. So crispy and tangy and slightly sweet. It came with orange prices and spicy pepper!! Also some broccoli which was nice and white rice. Also got the crispy spring rolls because can't get that gluten free anywhere else. Divine. Came out nice and hot and had the perfect crunch and a delicate sauce to go with it. Split all this with a friend and we had enough for another small meal each the next day. I will be dreaming of this meal for a long time. Huge portions. Came out fast. The fried food didn't seem oily and gross. Pretty nice restaurant inside as well.

If you or a friend are gluten free, 100% head to this place. A couple of my friends are celiac/gluten free and hadnt had chinese food in ages, so they were really excited and this surpassed their expectations! Took a while to get seated a bit past our reservation time, but once seated, food came extremely fast and service was solid. Lettuce wraps were amazing, sesame chicken was super good. The thai iced tea was a great refresher. We felt the lo mein was alright but not as amazing as the others. Overall it was great food and i never felt like i was missing out bc it was gluten free. Its a casual NYC spot filled with groups of people, so nothing too fancy. Prices and portions were solid too! Highly recommend if in the area and want some food that is tasty and will arrive fast once seated / ordered.

Did a quick takeout for lunch from Lilli & Loo on a Saturday afternoon and it worked out well. My order was prepared quickly and the staff was friendly when I picked up the order. Had the Lo Mein with Roast Pork (solid) and the Shanghai Wontons (wonderful)

Sushi was just ok. Service and ambiance was ok. Spicy Salmon roll was kind of junk. We should have kept walking. I wouldn't make this a destination. I wouldn't come come back either. NYC has great sushi this wasn't great. Recommend NO

GLUTEN FREE CHINESE FOOD THAT IS DELICIOUS! It is impossible to find delicious GF Chinese food but Lili and Loo have cracked the code. They understand how serious Celiac is and Sandy our waitress made us feel safe and taken care of. The restaurant is cozy and clean. The Sesame chicken was sweet and crispy, so were the egg rolls and the fried rice was amazing and the surprising winner? Their GF carrot cake and GF chocolate cake. I have also ordered delivery and it comes perfect and on time!

amazing gluten free asian food in the city. we really enjoyed the dumplings, the lo mein, and the general tso's chicken. a busy monday night, we did not have reservation, but they were able to accommodate us at the bar counter and had excellent service.

Needed some NYC styled Chinese food, specifically general tso's, ever since I had to go gluten free. This was incredibly crispy. However, the meal was extremely heavy and I was so tired afterwards. Service wasnt spectacular, they did their job and food didnt take too long. I also got the szechuan beef but this didnt particularly have the szechuan spice to it. Anyways, thankful theres gluten free options for asian food like this place

My friend is gluten free and recommended we go try this place out since they offered both a GF and a regular menu! We walked in and were seated right away by the door at a small table! The place was packed! Like I mentioned, 2 menu's & a drink menu! They only have beer, sake & wine! I ordered a glass of wine, kani salad & chicken pad thai, he ordered bbq ribs & GF shrimp noodles. The food was okay - it wasn't as tasty as I expected - maybe a little on the bland side? We asked for some extra soy sauce on the side! All in all, if you're GF & want Chinese food, def recommend you give it a try! Service was quick and all the people working were very polite and positive energy overall!

Pink Lemonade to go with my "Sexy Pink Lady sushi roll". Delicious. I enjoyed two!!

Delicious food, nice Service, nice prices. Some of my favorites are from every area of the menu, but whatever I've had here is delicious . Please see my earlier review for more details. The other night I went in and had some delicious wonton soup, crispy rice with spicy, tuna, one roll of spicy tuna sushi. And my pink lemonade, which I like a lot. Great food, great service. Food is served in a very timely manner. I really like it here. They also have a gluten-free menu with many selections

Got off the E train and when we looked for Chinese food, this place popped up with good reviews and it was just a short walk from where we got off the train. My buddies ordered the special lunches and we also got two types of xlb's, beef chow fun, and some fried dumplings. The special lunches come with a little fried rice, cold garlic flavored noodle, choice of egg drop or hot and sour soup, and main side. My buddies all enjoyed their meals. The beef chow fun was also really good and beef was nice and tender. The xiao long baos were excellent and is comparable to any place in California like DTF. Nice and juicy and great with some ginger, soy sauce, and spicy chili. Friendly service and food comes out pretty quickly. Credit card is accepted. Bathroom was also very clean, which is sometimes rare in some Chinese restaurants I have been to. If you're looking for a good Chinese meal, stop here when you're in the Chelsea area.

"How 'bout there?" he responded pointing to Excellent Dumpling House. It was directly across the street. I pulled up Yelp, saw good reviews and readily agreed. At 3:30, the restaurant was empty. There were a few takeout orders, but we were the only people sitting down for late lunch. And y'know ... it was pretty good. Wonton soup is what I'd expect in Chinatown. Wonton wrappers were thin -- my preference -- the stuffing delicious and the broth flavorful. They were generous with the beef in our chow fun. Good, but the noodles needed a jolt. So I asked for soy sauce which was sort of a solution. Shrimp with vegetables was great. A lot of shrimp, too. There are lunchtime specials on weekdays, reasonable prices, and nice people work there. Next time it makes sense to try dumplings since it is, after all a dumpling house.

Located within the historic Chelsea Market building--a former Nabisco factory where Oreo cookies were first produced--the restaurant feels theatrical in the best possible way. The soaring ceilings, dramatic lighting, and energetic atmosphere create a sense of occasion from the moment you walk in. It feels less like simply going out to dinner and more like stepping into a beautifully staged production. I started with a Botanist Gin Martini with a twist, which paired wonderfully with the meal. The surprise star of the evening was the new Cucumber Tiger Salad. The balance of flavors was exceptional: bright acidity, a pleasant touch of heat, and just enough mint to make each bite feel fresh and exciting. Every so often the mint would come through and suddenly all the flavors would click together in a way that made me immediately want another bite. This is a dish I would happily order again. Next came the Edamame Dumplings. They were delicate and comforting, especially when enjoyed with the accompanying broth. The broth adds depth and richness that elevates the entire dish. My only suggestion would be the slightest touch more salt, perhaps even a finishing sprinkle of black volcanic salt for both flavor and presentation. I also found myself wishing there were a bit more of that delicious broth because it contributes so much to the overall experience. For my entrée, I ordered the Glazed Alaskan Black Cod, and it absolutely lived up to its reputation. The fish was rich, buttery, and perfectly prepared. What impressed me most was how thoughtfully the accompaniments were composed. The pickled cucumbers brought brightness, acidity, and crunch, while the black bean and eggplant relish delivered deep savory notes and unexpected complexity. I'm generally not an eggplant fan, but this relish was outstanding. The cucumbers and relish sit at opposite ends of the flavor spectrum, yet both somehow make the cod even better. Looking back, I think a glass of Sauvignon Blanc alongside the cod would have been the perfect pairing. I finished with the Miso Caramel Milk Bar, which was spectacular. Decadent, sweet, salty, and touched with just enough umami to keep every bite interesting. The chocolate crumble underneath added a wonderful crunch that contrasted beautifully with the creamy ice cream and luscious caramel sauce. Every component worked together perfectly, creating a dessert that was both indulgent and sophisticated. From start to finish, the meal felt polished, thoughtful, and memorable. Thank you!

The hand-pulled noodles *gasp* weren't hand pulled. "BBQ" chicken in the other noodles was very dry. Sea bass portion was very small. Scallion pancakes were good. Shrimp dumplings were the highlight.
