We shared a lot of small plates on the recommendation of our server and everything was delicious! The pork belly and fried chicken buns were excellent! The cheese curds were crisp and somehow not greasy; I usually avoid fried cheese curds, but these were excellent. The shishito peppers were a nice touch. The edamame had a nice kick with the chili sauce and the sliders were flavorful and delicious. The sweet potato waffle fries with honey were amazing. I liked the ordering style of trying different foods at your own pace not rushed. Service was friendly, but drinks took way too long even a glass of wine was slow, which was a negative when trying to time a glass of port with dessert. The food, though, was very good. I've always liked Linger... the ambiance is great and the service is consistently solid. The rooftop bar is a prime spot at happy hour. But on a recent visit after a few years away, the food felt inconsistent and the pricing hard to justify. Some items are reasonably priced (like the bao buns), while others feel steep... $16 for very small chicken skewers, for example. A glass of house wine runs $15-16, and with a 5% employee fee plus 20-25% tip prompts, costs add up quickly. Expect around $80-85 per person for a couple of small plates and drinks, which feels high for what you get. The menu is creative and globally inspired, but execution varies. We loved the ube ice cream, devils on horseback, and bao buns. However, the pad thai was light on noodles, the chicken skewers were over-sauced, over-tenderized and lacked char, and the ramen felt muddled... more like a hot-and-sour soup with mismatched components than an intentional dish. Other dishes, like the potstickers, leaned overly sweet and heavy. This is obviously a matter of taste, but to me most items felt over-sauced / overworked. We didn't come in for a huge meal but they had some yummy mocktails and some taro nachos which were nothing like I've ever had before. We were seated in a booth and the ambiance was very romantic. Met up with a sorority sister of mine who was in from out of town, and we were both intrigued to learn that Linger was a former mortuary. Really. Cool. Space. I booked a reservation, and unfortunately there was no rooftop seating available, but it was a hotter day, so we'll check that out another time. We were there with their brunch menu and decided to try a bunch of shareables. Had the pandan waffle with salted cream, single ube pancake with lilikoi sauce, and churro French toast with brown sugar. That really hit the sweet tooth, so we needed some savories also. Took our waitress T's recommendation of the Korean fried chicken Bao bun- amazing! Could have easily had more than one; optimal for sharing with a friend as it came in an order of two. Ended with a seasonal special- grilled peaches with burrata on toast. Ended up packing the leftovers to go and was still tasty 2 days later. The sourdough was lightly charred to perfection. This used to be one of our favorite spots but upon our return this weekend we realized that the menu changed drastically. The change was not for the best. Everything used to be just as expensive as it is now, but at least the portion sizes made up for it. Our server let us know that Linger is known for their bao buns, which we had never had. We ordered one to share and the duck was super juicy but didn't really have a hero flavor and the bun itself was lackluster. We shared the mushroom kebab plate and got a tiny portions of everything, we were so grateful that this was not the only thing we ordered because we would have left hungry. The largest portion on that plate was the sweet crispy rice noodles, which tasted a bit like Rice Krispies ( I love Rice Krispies but didn't seem to fit with the rest of the plate). We ordered the fried rice before our server recommended our friends not order it because it was their least favorite thing on the menu. This would have maybe been helpful to tell us while we were ordering. We were then curious about why our server hated it, upon the fried rice arrival, I realized why. It is so vinegar/acidic, no other real flavor. The khao soi was probably the best thing we ordered. Great amount of crab in it but the scallop just tasted of fish (like the fish section at HMart). I was intrigued by the Golden Silk drink on the menu as I'd never heard of tofu being in a drink. This was just plain bad, and also not blended well. It tasted more like an unsweetened yogurt and turmeric drink. If you get anything from here, get the doughnuts. These came out so fresh and warm. We left disappointed by one of our past staple restaurants in this area. Do not plan on returning here, mostly due to the prices and lack of varieties of flavor. I know there are other more flavorful cuisine fusion restaurants in Denver, like ZoMo or Hop Alley with much more reasonable prices. read more

I hate to not rate Linger higher-- the service was really great! I've been here a few times now, and while the food has generally been good (not necessarily amazing, but good), it's the vibe of the place that I have liked the most. And vibes will get you far... if the food is good (even if it's not great). However, this last visit, I really didn't love the food. The waygu beef sliders were good (my favorite thing about this plate though was the side of hot honey waffle fries, which were excellent). The duck bao buns were average tasting... it needed something crisp or zesty to help balance out the flavors and add some texture. But my main disappointment was the pad thai. It was so overpowered by what I think was the fish sauce, the dish tasted too salty and not like pad thai at all. We had leftovers of this and no one wanted to take it home. Maybe the kitchen was off that day, or our ordering was off... since my past experiences haven't been so bad, I'd come back, but probably not for a while. read more

What a wonderful dinner I had at this restaurant. The service was amazing and everyone was so friendly. The ambiance upstairs where I was at was nice. They had lots of different color lights at the bar and you can have a conversation with no loud music. Now, let's get to the food. I made it just in time for happy hour and I was so happy since this restaurant does family style ordering. I first tried what they're know for which is Bao Buns. Char Siu Pork belly- the pork with the charred broccoli with very well with the pork belly. This dish was a winner. Mongolian BBQ Duck- the pickled cucumber and scallions messed with the duck. Everything work together very well and the duck was tender. Smashed Wagyu Slider- this little slider was soo good! The bacon onion jam was on point with the Wagyu meat. Visiting from Las Vegas, we wanted to take our friends out that were celebrating their wedding anniversary. This was the #1 recommended restaurant from several people that live here in Denver. It did not disappoint! Food, flavors, ambiance, service, etcetera this place had it all! It offered vegan options, gluten free options, & plenty of regular options so that everyone could enjoy themselves. Unfortunately; the rooftop was not open, however our table located on the second floor near the main bar was stellar! Our server was incredibly knowledgeable & extremely friendly. Went to DenCo on a work trip and met up with a long-time friend, this is where we decided to go. Absolutely LOVED it! We loved everything that we ordered, Char Siu Pork Belly Bao, Korean BBQ Tacos, and Ginger Chili Shrimp. We split the dishes, so had a chance to eat each of them. SO SO good! The dishes were flavorful and yummy. Their menu is unique and had a TON of stuff that I would have ordered - but the stomach can only hold but so much! :) Our waitress was friendly and helpful, I have an egg allergy and she was helpful in making sure that what we ordered did not contain eggs. The place is comfortable and has a great vibe. They have the ability to open windows on really nice days (if I remember correctly, the 'windows' are actually garage-style doors). Just an amazing experience overall, especially in the customer service department! We had a 30th birthday party with a couple of odd surprise requests, including a custom cake that we brought in which was introduced to the table with a song that we requested (Undertaker theme song). The entire team helped us pull this off while the Birthday Girl was in complete shock. They even offered condolences . As for the food, they brought us complimentary champagne and multiple surprise plates, all of which were delicious. They could have very easily denied any of our unusual requests but they played along with big smiles on their faces. Shout out to our server on Monday night (Luke?!) who was an absolute gem. Love this place - We revisit it often. The Saturday after opening day it was super empty inside which is out of the ordinary but was really fun. The bao here are my must get item I'm not sure I've ever visited without at least one bao. The churro french toast was new to us we usually opt savory at breakfast but this was so good (even better the next day). It's served with a salty cheese foam which was good on its own but added a bit too much for me so I kind of avoided it. I feel like this is a tough one to rate for me because the food is really what held me back from being able to give this five stars. The service, ambience, and overall aesthetic = amazing. Vibes are immaculate. But the food fell so short of my expectations! I had been here before just to the " light bright" bar (IYKYK) for drinks and really wanted to come back for food. Fast-forward a few years later, we finally made it. I came with four gal pals to celebrate a friend's birthday. We were seated at a wonderful table with a great view, and our server was fantastic. We ordered drinks first - cocktails were excellent. We ordered some starters next. They came out quickly, and the temp was right. That's about where my praise ends. The fried chicken bao was my favorite of the bunch and I didn't even finish it (which is saying something for me). The hot honey sweet fries had way too much honey, the Mexican street corn skewer was like burned corn with a tiny bit of seasoning. I would not call it Mexican street corn by any stretch of the imagination. The spring rolls were also decent but nothing to write home about. One of my friends and I split the chicken satay and Pad Thai, another did the lettuce wraps, and another did the Dosa. My friend did like the dosa, but I didn't taste it personally, so can't speak to it. The lettuce wraps were just OK and the Pad Thai and chicken satay had very little flavor. The peanut sauce for the satay had too many large peanut chunks to be effective as sauce. Pad Thai was just terrible, I would not even really call it Pad Thai. Overall, I had enough bites of everything to be full and all the food felt very heavy to me like it was overcooked in too much oil. While a couple dishes were serviceable, nothing was what I would call very good or a standout. I'd come here again for the drinks and the lovely staff, but would skip the food. read more

There's a large sign on the rooftop and another to the side of the building. The restaurants located up a small flight of stairs. Modern interior with wooden tables and booths, industrial style roof, and open kitchen. Our waitress very friendly and attentive. Let's get to the food. We ordered four dishes. We started off with the Bombay nachos, which was an awesome mix of flavors. The taro chips were spiced that gave them a balance and refreshing taste and melded well with the bhel and beets mix. Next up we tried a KFC bar and duck bao. Both were very good, I liked the duck better! Again nice fusion of flavors and spices. Third up was our impossible sliders with hot honey waffle fries. The fries stole the show! Crispy and the hot honey was soo good. The impossible sliders were also very good and I liked the American flavors. We finished with a masala dosa. The wife is a dosa aficionado so she rated it as average. More targeted at an American population than an Indian population, the chutneys were very flavorful but the masala filling missed the mark a bit with the brussel sprouts. Staff was absolutely amazing. Super friendly & attentive. I had a drink which I can't remember that name which had a salt foam on top. Some sort of margarita. The flavor of the drink is good but I would recommend mixing in the foam as when you drink it without doing that you get a mouthful of salt. Food comes out as it is ready & all portion sizes are small so I would recommend getting multiple items. The Korean pancake is nothing like your traditional one you would get at a Korean restaurant so be aware. If you are not an adventurous foodie I would recommend not coming here as the flavors are unique. Location is nice if you are looking for ice cream after or a park nearby. Parking is limited to street parking that you can only pay for 2 hours for. The restaurant will give you a time period for how long you can stay which is unfortunate especially if you do multiple rounds of ordering food. It prevents you from ordering more knowing you wlll be asked to leave. read more

Let's sum it up, Linger delivers amazing energy, international cuisine, incredible tastes and great views. We had a table of six for dinner on Friday evening and we tried nine different offerings on the menu. Most of the food is served tapas style. There are two dining rooms in the main building (the former mortuary), one of the main level and the other on the second. We were seated in a large booth on the second, but wished we had more room. Once we ordered the food, it just arrived in perfect waves. What was annoying was how long it took to get drinks from the bar that was literally across from our table. The room wasn't half full while we were there. Something that would make the dining experience even better is if they would change out the small plates throughout the meal so you aren't mixing flavors. If you're here for the drinks and vibes, it is good for that. Unfortunately we came for food because it's famous for its Asian Fusion. The speed of the food coming out is an indication that everything is premade. And not for old people, because, how are they going to chew the super hard skewer meat? The pancake thingy, I call it a thingy because I can't tell if it's a pancake or a roll? It's both apparently but when you can't do either right then neither would be good. If just focus on the dough and make it a real thin and crispy pancake with scallions, it'd be enough. But no, they decide to roll the dough up with fillings and sit on a bed of sauce. All soggy.
