We received tons of recommendations from so many people about this place, not just because it's an old mortuary but because of the phenomenal menu. I can see why everyone loves it here! The atmosphere is super cozy and there's tons of seating space. It wasn't open but we went onto the roof just to peek and it's spacious and spectacular up there too. For drinks we had the mortuary margarita, resting place, and mimosa. They were all fantastic but that margarita was one of the best I've ever had anywhere. We split the pork belly bao bun and it made for a perfect size snack before our entrees. I'd never had a bao bun before and I think I'll have a very high bar set now for all future ones. Loved it! I had the BLT Benedict for the main and it was surprisingly light for a Benedict. Sooooo very delicious. Those goat cheese biscuits should be sold by the half dozen! Outstanding. I've been wanting to go to Linger for quite a while now and finally found time to do so on my latest trip! The bonus was finding out that they have a happy hour on the rooftop. Say. Less. It was a beautiful night with great views, plenty of shade, excellent staff, and exceptional food/drinks. The vibes of every square inch of this property are worth soaking in. I loved the decor and the different spaces and wish I would have taken time to really go through the lower levels. As for the food and drinks... Let's just say I am pretty sure you're not going to go wrong with anything on the menu. We got the duck boa bun, a wagyu smashburger slider, and hot honey sweet potato fries. All of these dishes were 10/10. Everything was cooked perfectly, had layers of flavor, and was so far from typical bar/happy hour eats. Not to mention the price point. Wow performance even after a rainstorm closed the patio! Kudos to our frazzled server who met our every need at our standing room only, second floor bar table. Ordered two cocktails before happy hour ended, a coconut fizz and a frozen painkiller with the spiced rum float. Oh my. So strong, sweet and they go down fast! We ordered quickly three kinds of skewers: mushroom, tofu and chicken. No pics but these were stunning dishes! Wide planks of tofu with solid grill marks and a great flavor. Chicken with a bright green crunchy coating and well, the king trumpet mushrooms with black garlic and whipped tofu, they were nothing short of fabulous! Wish there was more kaya jam though! Love the coconut taste. Uttapam Dosa Pancake with lentil korma, sunny egg and tomato chutney - this dish caught me off guard. I imagined the dosa to be a paper crisp crepe texture like I'm familiar with but this was certainly not the case. It is a thick puffy pancake. It was still very good. It was loaded with toppings and mixed together, each bite was an explosion in your mouth. Worth trying if you're looking to venture out and explore. Tried short rib bibimbap too and it was decent. While our server was an absolute delight, the food itself was a massive disappointment. For anyone with autoimmune conditions, I strongly recommend dining elsewhere, as they primarily use seed oils in the kitchen--which causes more inflammation for anyone already battling an inflammatory chronic illness. The single dressing option offered also has nightshade seasonings, which are flare-inducing. I resorted to an olive oil/balsamic vinegar mix drizzled over a bowl of lettuce. The wait time was overly long for a salad containing nothing more than naked lettuce, a teaspoonful of almonds and a piece of skewered bison, that was chewy, overly salted, and had an aftertaste reminding one of bad body odor. Originally the chef had said he could grill a naked piece chicken as a topper, but after a half hour wait, the waitress came back to our table and informed me they were out of chicken. The only meat they had left was bison, and after sampling it, I can easily ascertain why. It was the grossest, gamiest meat to ever touch my tastebuds. I could only stomach three bites. For a simple, pitiful portion of lettuce and my husband's small taco duo with a side of fries, our tab was ridiculously priced at almost $70. We definitely will not be back again. read more

We had to wait about 10 minutes past our reservation time before being seated. DRINKS: Just okay, nothing special. The char siu pork belly bao was pretty underwhelming. The bao itself was soft, but pretty dense. I appreciated the crispiness of the pork belly and the crunch of the cucumber, but it could've used some sort of sauce for a punch of flavor. I got a bite of the duck bao and it was pretty undercooked with the consistency of an uncooked scallion pancake. The lamb shank was fall-off-the-bone tender with bits of bone marrow at the end. Such good texture with the couscous and nutty crunch. The pickled onion provided good contrast in flavor, but was also complementary. It was a heavy dish, but such a good bang for your buck. Definitely a must order! The Vietnamese coffee tiramisu was the choice for dessert. It was generous portion, but the amount of coco powder made each bite pretty dry. Hands down one of my best restaurant experiences ever. We went during restaurant week and did the $35 three course meal but the meal I daresay was priceless. First of all, ALL 3 courses blew my mind. The wagyu beef sliders were too salty, but the sweet potato waffle fries with hot honey helped to balance it out. This was another surprise reservation on my Pack Up + Go trip to Denver for my birthday! They indicated to me that all my reservations were made, but I still had to pay for the meals - which I was totally fine with. Ultimately, I had pork bao, devils on horseback, bison skewer, and I ordered a few extra items to go to bring back to my hotel because I was stuffed at that point but didn't want to miss out on other delicious dishes. Our work group joined me and to start, the waitress and the person she was training was the absolute beat services I've had in a very long time. Their Thai tea inspired cocktail tastes just like a Thai tea with a hint of alcohol. The tofu kabob had a wonderful deep smoky flavor, and the sauce paired with it was a well balanced touch. The dosa masala potato dish was crispy, and curry flavored. The dosa was impressively thin and crispy (I have made dosa and it is hard). The honey sweet potato fries were delicious! It's housed in an old mortuary, which they play up a bit with their decorations. They serve tapas style food, mostly small shareable plates, but with a focus on Asian street food. They had SO MANY veggie options! But! For some of the dishes, such as the bao, if you want them to be vegetarian or vegan, you have to specify that. Otherwise they will come out with meat. So when ordering, just double check that what you are getting is vegetarian! I tried the Thai tea cocktail with condensed milk (they also offer it with coconut milk). The tea had a strong flavor which I love. We shared a few different plates: the bombay nachos, crispy filipino spring rolls, skewer and lettuce wraps, and the masala dosa. My two favorite (and must order veggie dishes) were easily the bombay nachos and the lettuce wraps. The nachos had so many different flavors, and I loved the chutney that came with it! The wraps are a build your own situation. They are SO good! We ordered it with tofu, and the star of the show was the peanut sauce and fresh herbs. It was filling yet still a light dish. The other two dishes were also good but less impressive. The filipino rolls were fried and crispy, and I don't normally eat impossible meat but this worked well in the dish. The vinegar sauce was way too vinegar-y for me. The masala dosa was good but more a simple potato dish. These four plates was more than enough for the two of us. I have come back to Linger a few times and it's my favorite happy hour in Denver, mostly because of the views and small bites! Their food and drinks are always a hit -- I love the New Saigon cocktail on happy hour ($8), any of their bao buns with tofu subbed ($6), vegan spring rolls ($6) and salmon poke tostada ($8). The service has always been quick here even with many rounds of drinks and food. They don't take reservations for their rooftop but I haven't had any issues getting a table around 4/5pm. Wow, what a great experience! We came here for dinner with friends of ours, one of whom recently relocated from NYC to Denver. He recommended it and I trust his judgement and was not disappointed. The vibe of the place is very cool and I love the industrial-mortuary chic look of the place. We started with cocktails, which were great. We ordered a lot of different things including bao buns, skewers, devils on horseback, tacos and scallion pancakes. Everything was great but the bao buns and the scallion pancakes were standouts. Service was friendly and professional although just a tad slow but that was mainly because the place was packed on a Wednesday night. We had Italian donuts and a Portugese pound cake (or something like that) for dessert. The donuts were the standouts. I really enjoyed the vibe, the food and the service and would go back. read more

First time in Denver and Linger did not disappoint. The vibes are spooky, chic. Lots of history in the building and love the play on the name. Hopefully no ghosts followed us home lol. The service was great. We were taken care of but were also given space to enjoy the food, drinks and atmosphere. The best part was the food. Loved all the veggie options! They are considerate of allergies and food restrictions. Everything is tapas style so perfect for sharing and trying a little bit of everything. We had two different types of the bao buns. The pork one made with tofu was the best thing we've had in Denver so far. The farro Caesar was a twist on the classic and would highly recommend. All around great place and we will be back on the next visit to Denver. read more
