No it's not a pure Vegan bakery, however it has Many options... the back room reminds me of a old theaters viewing room from the frames projection windows on high. We were in SLO and looking for a place for a late breakfast. Unfortunately, we were too in about 30 minutes too late to order the Espresso Eggs, which has a lot of good reviews, so we settled on the Midnight Moon and Spinach Quiche and the All Day Eggs. Both dishes were better than we expected...here is what stood out: - Order at the counter in the front, and then go find a seat. The back garden seating area was really beautiful and relaxing. - We just ordered drip coffees...both thermoses were empty, but it didn't take long for them to brew another one. The Ethiopian coffee, in particular, was really good. - We weren't expecting much from the quiche, but I have to say that it was probably one of the best quiches I've had in a long time...so creamy and rich inside, with a nice crust. The accompanying greens were lightly dressed too. The All Day Eggs were ok...they were scrambled, which surprised us a bit (described as "steamed eggs" on the menu, which we think of as almost sunny side up but steamed...obviously not scrambled) but they were ok. The bread that came with the eggs was really good. The size of both portions was fine, but not overwhelming by any means. Bottom line: Nice atmosphere, solid food...we'd recommend Linnaea's Cafe! read more

My lady friend ordered the all day eggs. Nastiest of the nastiest is what she got. I wasn't paying attention when she ordered but sitting at the table after, I heard she got food and I was like "but there's no kitchen, what are they making the food with a hot plate?". The eggs come and they are really just making food with a hot plate and using the barista steamer on the side of the espresso machine to steam cook the scrambled eggs. Eggs looked disgusting and the bread had like two quarter stick size pieces of butter just sitting on them. Place is OOC. Nice calm backyard patio though, ambiance is pretty good here. Coffee and espresso are probably fine, just don't get anything with steam milk because it might taste like egg. read more

I'll give it one star - for location. The rest of it was overrated, overpriced, and generally disappointing. The staff is disinterested (until/unless they see your tip, and then only if they approve). The owner must be very tolerant and sympathetic, because the arrogance and indifference of the staff would cause any normal business owner to lose their mind. The food was just okay, and therefore not worth the price. With SO MANY places to choose from in SLO, this one is a definite pass. read more

Found this cute little Cafe in the heart of San Luis Obispo. We sat out in the outdoor back area. I chose the spinach quiche and my husband chose the breakfast burrito. Very filling and yummy. Linneas Cafe is a very cute, little place to study and hangout in. It was packed when me and my boyfriend came by! We ended up ordering the Buffalo Chickpea Wrap and the Midnight Moon and Spimach quiche. They were both interesting. The flavors felt like they didn't mesh well together. This is the best, funky, artful community coffee shop downtown, and among the most fun in SLO. Come here for the baked goods and varied hot beverage menu, stay for the service, art, live music events and poetry readings. Grab from their spectacular soup offerings and head out to the back patio seating area, or bring friends to enjoy tea, coffee, breakfast waffles or specialty lunches like the kabocha squash and goat cheese wrap. To-go orders are also welcome, though I recommend taking the time to relax here. The art on exhibit changes regularly and the venue takes part in special events including SLO County Arts Council's Art After Dark from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. the first Friday of each month, open mic nights most Thursdays and more. Nothing was unique or special for SLO Drinks: The homemade chai was recommended. It comes in 2 versions either ginger spice or honey. I asked for a mixture of the 2 in my iced dirty chai. It was earthy and lightly sweetened from the honey, which I liked. I paid for an espresso shot, but I honestly could not taste it to the point they could have forgotten to put it in the drink or the espresso beans are weak. It also turned watery very quickly. The iced lavender latte was okay, definitely artificial syrup and once again the espresso wasn't permeating through the drink. Dessert: they do have a great selection of gluten free and vegan pastries, which is generous compared to other local coffee shops and cafes. The gluten free raspberry vanilla muffin contained a lot of fresh whole raspberries inside and decent amount of sugar, but was fairly dry. I bashfully dipped it in my iced chai and was a yummy combo Environment: it is an older cafe with a small setup in the front and back. I loved the courtyard in the back, but at my outside table the internet was not able to connect to the router for being too far away. I moved inside and it was too dark in lightening plus kinda stuffy. Also, the bathroom is a bit tricky DONT forget to take the key hidden by the counter because someone almost walked in on a lady while in there. Service: They were subpar, reserved, but were courteous. Baristas fumbled in answering my questions such as didn't know the spices in the chai. Overall: The experience had a lot of eye sores. I would not come back again giving it a gracious 2.5 stars. There are better coffee shops, but wanted to give them a try. Nothing wowed me to set it apart from the other local cafes read more

After being exhausted from walking around so much, I was trying to find a place in SLO to grab some caffeine. I was originally heading to one coffee place, but this place caught my eye as I was walking past. There'a a bunch of cool drinks / desserts on the menu and I love the ambience (there's even a nice patio). I tried the drink of the month, which was an iced flower garden matcha latte with lavender and elderflower. I was nervous that the floral part would make it taste like soap, but it actually added the perfect touch. It was a light sweetness and a delicious matcha latte. My boyfriend even said it reminded him of a milk tea. Something that also impressed me was the service of the employees and how they enforced the mask policy. They were polite and firm to have customers put on a mask if they came in without one, and seemed to always be looking out for the safety of the people in the shop. The cashier with the nastiest attitude said 'its on the board' points up to the description without even looking up at us. First of all, have a bit of respect for your customer and at least have eye contact. You should not go out of your way to make your customers feel dumb. Just rude. We should have turned around to leave but we brushed it off. Big mistake. My gf ended up ordering the espresso eggs, another friend of mine ordered their oatmeal parfait and I ordered their fruit parfait with their Italian cream soda. When they asked my what flavor I wanted in my cream soda they QUICKLY opened up the cabinet where all the flavors were at and closed it. I can read fast but holy cow how do you expect me to read the 15 flavors in less than 5 seconds?! I ended up just asked for vanilla because they seemed to not want to deal with my questions. We waited at the counter for my friends espresso eggs & we noticed that the plates of espresso eggs were being handed out to customers. When we asked if that would be the case for us the snooty girl said 'yes we will bring the plate to you' THAT WOULD HAVE BEEN HELPFUL 10 MINUTES AGO WHEN WE PAID. We waited a long time for the eggs & the same rude chick that rang us up finally came out and asked if we were waiting on the eggs, YES. We are. They forgot about my friends eggs. They finally came out with the eggs. Don't come here, customer service SUCKS. They even have many gluten free and vegan options. I highly recommend the vegan and gf carrot cake. Oh man was I in heaven! Can't go wrong with drinks and food. The service was never stellar when the original owner was in charge but I liked the laid back ambiance and the food was good. Now that the place has changed hands it is even slower. It took over 30 minutes to get my order of a waffle and a cappuccino! At least they could have got the coffee to me first, but the waited to bring that too. When I asked about my order, I was told that the bottleneck was that I had ordered a waffle and they only had one waffle iron. I don't want this place to fail. It's its been around forever. I hope they dial in their systems. First things first, get the coffee order out and then focus on delivering the food. I'm sure this can be achieved by printing two oder slips.
