    Bread Service

This was my first time at this LongHorn location and I visited with close friends and niece. It was a very busy Saturday evening so we did have to wait around 10-15 but it was not too bad. We were promptly seated and our server Patrick came over to greet and take our drink order. Patrick's service throughout the evening was exceptional and we even made a note to tell the manager about this. I had a mishap and had to leave for around 25 minutes and he waited until I returned so that we would all have our food hot and at the same time. To start with, we got the bread service (yum!) and the Parmesan crusted spinach dip which I could've eaten 3 of!! For my entree, I ordered my favorite, the Parmesan Crusted Chicken with a Sweet Potato and the Crispy Brussels Sprouts (in attempts to be semi healthy lol). Everything was cooked perfectly and tasted great. Though the restaurant was buzzing and busy, our server met all of our expectations and went above and beyond.

I stopped by for lunch and had a bacon cheddar burger. I asked for med-well and it was closer to well done. My fries were warm but not hot, so I sent them back. My burger was good but not as good as it was before.

Yummy Margarita and more in the shaker!

Having never been to this steakhouse and it being Friday night, I phoned earlier in the day to make reservations. The pleasant young man on the phone explained that they do not take reservations, but have a waitlist and to either phone or use their website to add my group of 4 to the waitlist about 1/2 hour before we arrived. I did that via the website and we were seated right away when we arrived. Arhely D was our server and she provided friendly, quick service, and great recommendations. Overall we had a great time, good service, and good food. We all ordered Margaritas and I was pleasantly surprised when our server brought shakers with our glasses, poured our drinks and left the shakers with another glassful of drink left. Great gimick!

Oh my goodness, everything was so delicious! There was a bit of a wait but no complaints for a Saturday night. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Even for the weekend, it didn't seem very loud either.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Taylor C was so nice and sweet and gave us a complimentary dessert for our anniversary. Definitely coming back soon!!

It's been a while since either me or my girlfriend has been here and she was really craving it so we decided to head out. I'll start with the condition of the restaurant since it didn't seem like they cared much. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Dirty bathrooms, graffiti, and trash on the floor, it was obvious they hadn't checked the bathroom in a while.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The service was kinda ok, like not bad but not good really either. The staff just seemed like they were wanting to be finished for the day. Like it was just Eh, didn't wow us at all. So now the food. I could have overlooked the other things if the food would have been good but that wasn't the case. The Wild West shrimp was pretty good but it was barely lukewarm. The chicken and ribs that I ordered were barely room temperature. The steak my girlfriend was the same, and so were all of the added sides. It was as though they forgot our order was ready and left it sitting for a while, which could also explain the somewhat slow service. I should have sent everything back but we were already there to long plus I don't always trust places when you send stuff back. We ended up getting to go boxes and went home and heated everything up to eat it. I give two stars just because the shrimp wasn't totally bad and the strawberry lemonade was tasty. Other than that, I really would not recommend this location, should we ever go back, we'll pick a different one.

We decided to use a Christmas gift card from my brother and grab lunch at LongHorn Steakhouse today. The staff was friendly and got our order together on time, which we appreciated. I ordered two New York strip steaks with sides. Unfortunately, the food just didn't live up to expectations. Both steaks were overly salted, heavy on the butter, and honestly tough to cut and chew -- not the tender, flavorful steaks we were hoping for. The sides were fine, but the main event fell short. Not a terrible experience, but for a place known for steak, we expected better quality. Glad we gave it a try, but probably won't rush back.

I haven't been here in a long time and it's so good. Service was great and attentive. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It was pretty full for a Friday night as well.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Ambiance was nice and chill.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Our steaks were cooked perfect and the mushrooms were a great addition. The brussels sprouts were really sweet, I think it's a honest, so just a heads up there! They have some good deals! My boyfriend really enjoyed their old fashion and the bar tender made it great. If you're looking for a good steak dinner without completely breaking the bank, check it out!

It's the kind of place where you tell yourself you'll try something different next visit, then spend ten minutes staring at the menu because everything sounds amazing. As I viewed the menu, the Tomatillo Chicken Tacos looked delicious so I ordered a couple. I took one bite and while that one bite was good and flavorful, the tacos were too spicy for me. My server was the absolute best as he had asked for my honest opinion and got it, then offered me the opportunity to change out my food to something different, which was so appreciative. I ordered a burger to replace my tacos, which was also delicious (and without any spice). This place is fantastic for social interaction, dining, and/or just unwinding after a long day. It's a seat yourself joint. Focusing seating around the focal point, the big bar area. Atmosphere is pleasant, spacious and welcoming! Decent selection of food options. Huge draft, craft beer selection. The staff is friendly & offers just the right amount of attention. You won't wait long to be welcomed, for your food, for a refill or for your receipt at the end of your dining experience. We started with their honey hot wings. Our party of three decided to split one of the numerous salads they offer & went with the steak & walnut salad. It includes grilled steak slices, blue cheese crumbles & crispy onion rings ( made in house) . The dressing was a light vinaigrette that made this a delicious & delightful thing to share amongst us all. For dinner we went with one of their "create your own" pizzas. Our favorite toppings are: pepperoni, garlic & basil. This was a great presentation & pie! From service to staff, to cooks in the kitchen we had a great dining experience! Everything was legit. We will be back to try a burger next time. This is a really cool place with a wide selection of outstanding food & bar beverage options. Highly recommend it.

Despite this, there was only one person working -- a server who was also acting as the bartender -- trying to handle everything. At one point, a woman came in to pick up a to-go order and stood waiting for quite a while. When the server finally got to her, she joked, "Are you the server, bartender, and cook?" His response: "I just don't cook." Her food still wasn't ready, so she had to keep waiting. I ordered a grapefruit mimosa, which cost $9.55 but was only about three-quarters full in the wine glass. Why serve it like that? It just felt skimpy. After finishing my drink, I sat for another 10 minutes waiting to close out my tab. This was actually my second visit. We came once before for dinner with friends since we all live in Mesa and thought the concept was cool and close to home. Unfortunately, the service then was just as bad, even with more staff on shift. I had hoped stopping in for a quick drink would be a better experience -- but sadly, it wasn't. I won't be back. It's a shame because the place has potential, but management really needs to take staffing seriously.

On a busy Saturday night, he graciously allowed us to push it back by an hour, which we really appreciated. When we arrived, we were immediately impressed. The jungle theme, leopard prints, intimate booths, and dramatic overhead lighting created a fun, unique atmosphere. The service was excellent, the cocktails were delicious, and every dish we ordered was a hit. My son said it may have been the best steak tartare he's ever had (although neither of us was a fan of the plantain chips). It was certainly the best tartare I've had in a very long time, with generous chunks of high-quality steak instead of being overly minced. The baked brie dip was outstanding, the grilled oysters were excellent, and my New York strip was cooked perfectly. My only small criticism is that the oyster appetizer came with just three oysters. For a $19 appetizer, I'd love to see at least four. An even number also makes sharing much easier, although my son generously let me have the extra one! Overall, this is a fantastic concept with great food, great service, and a memorable atmosphere. We can't wait to come back.

We called about half hour before and made a reservation by phone. I was disappointed that my first order choice of the Seabass was unavailable and my second choice of lamb chops was also unavailable. Not sure if this is because it was a Sunday night and/or we made the reservation immediately before showing up. They were also out of the Melted Cast-Iron Brie Small Plate that we were excited about ordering for the table. We loved this restaurant because of the dark and jungle-themed interior. We were excited to see the bold taxidermy featuring the large cats combined with the ornate, gold- framed dapper animal art hanging on the walls. Another reason to love this spot: hidden inside is an entrance to a secret cocktail lounge, or speakeasy, called "Drop Dead Gorgeous." We also appreciated the entire restaurant centering around a glowing, raw wood-fire cooking pit. We could hear and watch our entrées being prepared. What we didn't love so much: the items that we would've liked to have ordered were unavailable. The price to portion ratio in the small bites could also be improved a bit. Great service from our waitress throughout the evening. We ordered: - Fire Roasted Bone Marrow for the table (3/5) - sourdough toast, jalapeño marmalade with demi. I was so excited to try bone marrow for the first time. It was interesting. Sort of like a mix between butter and fat from a steak. It tasted really good with the spicy jalapeño jelly and bread provided. I expected us to be warm and it came out cold. Still not sure if I like it or not. Maybe I'll give it a second try - White Oak Grilled Chicken Skewers (4/5) - served with shiso leaves, kimchi, shishito peppers. kosho aioli, lemon aioli, ssamjung for the table - Very yummy. We enjoyed these. We had actually changed our mind right after initially putting in the milk bread order for the table and they brought out the milk bread so quickly that our waitress said she would give this to us on the house. - Milk Bread for the table (4/5) - miso tomato butter, almond & Kalamata. Even though we changed our mind and got this sent to our table accidentally, I would order this again. It was very delicious and it comes out as an adorable little tomato shaped and colored milk bread with the toppings looking like the stem on top. So tasty and everybody loved it. A little small for our party of five. - Lemongrass Half Chicken (5/5) - Caramelized carrots, kyoto roasted garlic, mashed potatoes & jalapeno jam. Hubs loved this. He said everything was delicious and went well together. - Bomba Rice x2 (5/5) - Risotto, shrimp, linguica, chicken, piquillo peppers, green peas, kosher aioli & Parmesan. My son and his girlfriend both ordered this and said it was very good. - Shishito Caesar Salad add Chicken Skewers (5/5) - bonito, charred shishito peppers, ricotta salata, tapioca chicharron & togarashi. My daughter ordered this and said it was very good. - Spicy Peanut & Tomato Salad add Chicken Skewers (5/5) - peanut dressing, heirloom tomato, baby gem, daikon radish, onion, mala chile, whipped queso de cabra & sour nut. YUMMMM What a creative and unique salad! So glad I tried it. It has unique flavors that work well with each other and a crunch. There's also some heat that goes along with the salad. I was able to withstand it. My son would probably say it's not spicy at all. I'll be craving this salad for months to come. - Dad or Daddy Specialty Cocktail - bright, buzzed & stoned vodka, apricot liqueur, Riesling cordial, ginger, lime, topped with Red Bull Peach Edition (White Peach) - Fruity Mocktail - I asked the waitress if they had any mocktails and she asked me what I liked and gave me examples. Based on what I told her she brought me out a delicious fruity mocktail topped with fresh mint. Parking along the street at metered parking or in parking garage nearby. A few streets away from Tempe Town Lake.

Food: hefty breakfast sandwich w/ sausage, cream ala creme (biscuit & fruit), BHH French toast w/ bacon. The sammy was made w/ three eggs so it was a large sammy, kinda messy. I think they need to spread out the eggs a bit more so they cover more space & don't slip out from between the bun as easily. The hashbrowns were perfectly crispy. The French toast was also a hefty serving, especially w/ the bacon tacked on. The biscuit came out w/o the whipped cream, but the young gentleman quickly brought it out when I pointed out it was M.I.A. It was not as sweet as I was expecting; not sure I'd get that again. Service: great. Order at the counter, get a number, sit down, & it's brought to you -- and it was brought out very quickly. The tacos looked a little overdressed. I was so wrong. Flavor and texture were balanced perfectly. The tortillas were firm, but again, perfectly suited to the juicy pork, that had a teriyaki vibe. Sprouts, carrot and cucumber toppings worked well, despite my expectations. The BLTA was HUGE. Great flavor. Both entrees were ordered with sweet potato fries. Unusual cut to them, but seasoned perfectly. I paired mine with chipotle aioli and ate every last one. My only complaint is that I'm only spending one evening in the Phoenix area, and won't be back soon. I would eat this food three times a week without hesitation.

I ordered the pesto goat cheese spread with crostini - it was way too think and hard as a rock. Very hard to bite in to. The spread needed salt. We ordered the Pacos Tacos. I took off onions and bacon. My husband had it just the way it comes. We really enjoyed those. The black beans it came with was absolutely delish My daughter and her hubby ordered the grilled cheese. My daughters came with pear spiced bread - tasted like raisin bread - none of us cared for it. Service was good. Not a place we would go back to. I do like that all salads could be turned in to a wrap. The drink menu looked fun. Cute atmosphere- you should secure a reservation.

Hubby wanted to have dinner here last night. We had a female server. She seemed irritated…read more Hubby got his usual beer & I got the Desert Peach. Like always the beer was ice cold. My drink was good, but this time it was heavier on the lemonade & not the cranberry juice. We always order the pretzel bites & queso. This time the cheese sauce was a bit spicy. We kept waiting for them to come out, but we didn't have them when our meals came. Our server didn't put them in. We had her put them in anyway. They also had a lot of table salt on them this time. Hubby got the traditional wings with blue cheese dressing. I got the fish sandwich and onion rings. I really wanted a fish sandwich. Theirs comes with jalapeño tater sauce. I don't like the taste of jalapeño & I don't like spice. I ordered mine with Mayo & pickles. Hubby liked his wings. I took one bite & spit it out because the fat wasn't rendered. The blue cheese dressing was good & had crumbled blue cheese on top. My fish sandwich was okay. It was a bit over cooked & greasy. The onion rings were okay. Service was super slow as we waited awhile for to go boxes & then again for the check. We will take a break from here for a little while. That's my biggest problem with restaurants; no consistency!
