Authentic and inspired chilaquiles. Chilaquiles are a traditional Mexican breakfast/brunch meal that uses lightly fried corn tortillas, salsa, and cheeses as a base and is served with refied beans. They have numerous versions with a ton of toppings to choose from. I highly recommend adding a topping or two that appeal to you. I went with the Campechana (chorizo, chicken, beef fajita, and grilled onions). Now, I have to talk about the refied beans. Seriously. Refried beans are generally not the thing that you'd include in a review. But they were excellent! Refried beans are generally a "whatever" item on any Mexican/TexMex plate and are nothing to write home about. But the fact that the beans were as good as they were is an indication as to how good the rest of the meal was. It's almost impossible to leave here without box of leftovers. Be prepared to wait 20-30 minutes for a table on the weekend as this place is justifiably popular. Really wanted to try the flan, as I've been looking for great flan in the area, but they were out. All the more reason to go back again! No pics as it's not really a photogenic meal, but the taste is wonderful. read more

This place was a whole damn experience. I was TRANSPORTED. -The Atmosphere- To start with, it's Texas, it's hot as balls and it's in a strip shopping center. We walk in and the place is packed. While ordering, i was thinking they should let you add more veggies cause i'd throw onion on it, but lemme tell you about this sauce. it's probably milk and sour cream but in it are perfectly cooked slices of onion and strips of poblano. it's poured over some nice thick yellow corn chips and covered in some white cheese and sprinkled with parmesan, then they throw refried beans, and whatever proteins you select on top. the barbacoa was LEGENDARY. the eggs were there cause it was breakfast, and they were cooked well, but you can only do so much with a couple eggs. anyways, i can't even do it justice. the refried beans were excellent. the barbacoa was the perfect mix of that squishy barbacoa texture and crispy chewy bits from being tossed in the oven. the boyfriend got chilaquiles as well, with verde and shredded chicken, he gives it 8/10 "it was just good ok, it was all great" he's not one with words, lol. it was loud and hot and still worth it and i highly recommend it to anyone in north austin read more

The inside is not very big maybe 10 tables so there was a little bit of a wait but nothing major. Be sure to read the menu, i thought all they did was chilaquiles, but they do have several entrees, a keto bowl, additional toppings, and other breakfast options to choose from. I think i was just hungry and everthing blended together until i actually slowed down and read the menu. I ordered the Longhorns which is chilaquiles with a mix of creamy poblano and habanero at the level 3 spice. You may be wondering what is lever 3 spice. They offer a 1-5 spice level with 1 being not hot and 5 being killer hot. Figured i'd start in the middle and go from there next time. The food comes and my eyes light up like its my birthday because it's a big plate of food, and a big plate of food makes me happy. The food was awesome. Hte beans were good and the chilaquiles were outstanding to the last bite. One head scratcher, they served the meal with a piece of bread. Most places give you tortillas but they gave me a piece of bread kind of like a baquette or something. I didn't eat it at first but when i was done, I tore off a piece of bread and used it to sop up some of beans and sauce that were still on my plate. Yes, i'm a big boy, don't judge me lol. The flavor is meh, the food is really greasy, and the tacos themselves are seriously on the small side. For $21, I was hoping I'd get homemade tortillas and full tacos. Found this place on a whim for my spouse who loves chilaquiles and brought them the morning of our anniversary to try, we both loved it and try to return often. The staff members are super friendly and as someone who has worked in restaurants for a number of years I loved seeing the owner come from behind the line and speak to customers. The food is fresh and super flavorful. Though some may be deterred by the long and slim restaurant with limited seating, I feel that is the perfect concept. It's as if they prefer to control seating so they can control the pace of their kitchen. This allows kitchen staff to work with efficiency and accuracy. This small but delicious restaurant is well worth your time. If you're a fan or have never had chilaquiles you need to try this place. The coffee (regular), usually not great at small Mexican restaurants , was pretty good. The chilaquiles are amazing. I had the longhorn sauce, which is a mix of their poblano and habanero sauce. This might be the best sauce I have ever had. You can choose to make it mild to super hot. The chips are freshly made and the cheeses are perfect and the beans taste great and go perfectly when all mixed together. The are many additions to chose from, we chose egg and chorizo; both of them were good. I am sure to make this one of my regular places to eat. I already want more. My plate came out smothered in what seemed to be a pound of cheese and ooey, gooey sour cream sauce. I brought the other half home and it was just as delicious on day 2. Yay! -The menu is big. Only feedback I have to to be more specific about what each plate includes. I ordered the 620 based on the pictures I saw on Yelp with the expectation that in came with chicken and beef. When I received it, I was at first upset that maybe they forgot the chicken and beef, but realized you had to pay for that add on. I understand paying for extras and would have happily paid if I knew, but the menu on Uber Eats can address more specifically what's included.
