Great rooftop location but in my opinion it is not maximizing its full potential. Granted I need to revisit in the height of the summer during day party season to see if that changes. The food was mediocre for the most part unless you get the quesadillas, so don't come here hungry. The drinks are good but expensive ($18-$21 per cocktail) so drink responsibly haha. Shots were a few dollars cheaper and they give you a healthy pour. The waitress was good but it took her a minute to get our tab going so we got drinks from the bar to start. I will revisit in the summer because the ambience is there I just need more of a lounge party style environment and not a socializing mingle "what do you do for " vibe. read more

Not Worth the Hype Visited Lost Rooftop Downtown and unfortunately, it was a disappointing experience from the start. Security did the most just to get us in, which already set a weird and unwelcoming tone. Once we got to the bar, we ordered three drinks--all of which were well drinks and none were made correctly. Despite that, we were charged $82 plus a 15% tip, which felt ridiculous for simple cocktails that didn't even taste right. I would strongly advise against visiting this place. I've lived right across the street for four years, so it often becomes the default spot people want to check out when they're in town. Unfortunately, the way they treat their customers is terrible, and their approach to service needs a serious overhaul. They hold the line even when you have a reservation, come up with random dress-code rules, and act as if this is the premier destination in DTLA, which it absolutely is not. The only reason I've given them multiple chances is because I genuinely try to support Black-owned businesses--but I also believe that if a business can't operate professionally, they don't deserve my money, regardless of who owns it. DTLA has so many better options: Joey's, Shoo Shoo Baby, Zaya, and plenty more. Put your dollars toward places that actually value their customers. It reminded me of the issues I had with Somerville in Inglewood, though at least the food there was pretty solid. Black-owned businesses deserve support, but they also need to offer the same level of service, quality, and respect as any other establishment. I can say that I have been inside a few times and while it's a decently nice atmosphere, they also haven't figured out what it's supposed to be. Should it be a club a lounge or a bar. I would recommend visit lost before the late hours. Particular crowd that can make the venue more intense than it is. The restaurant was closed after 11:30pm, I'll have to try during earlier hours. Security is a bit jarring with frisking everyone upon entering questioning the safety and crowd that attends here. The vibes were chill until it's not, yet spacious rooftop with a decent lounge mingle area. There's multiple heaters surrounding the venue for evening warmth. However they make everyone at closing exit with a single lift. Not ideal for a large groups. I had to exit the emergency staircase due to a brawl with security and a few men near the bar. I believe security was too aggressive with crowd control that most likely caused unnecessary brawling. I understand they were moving people to the lift but that staircase needs to be available at all time's as it's illegal to keep people from exiting especially with a violent outbreak as such. The bar was using the emergency exit area as storage which is most likely why they didn't allow guest to use the emergency exit. Lost needs to change that because it was chaotic trying to leave an intense situation. There's restrooms between the DJ and restaurant area. I still recommend visit lost before at least 8pm. After becomes wannabe d list entertainment industry crowd with no class. Would've gave more stars if that brawl didn't happen and better security management. read more

Good energy people Welcoming and accommodating from the door men downstairs, the one upstairs, the hostess, to the waitress to the bus boy.....all very nice, and polite. This place is all rooftop so if it's winter, dress accordingly. There are fire pits and heat lamps for warmth and ambiance. Quick bites offered and cooked out of a cute Airstream in the back. I only had the guacamole and chips. The guacamole needed a bit more salt and a squeeze of lime. The red and green salsas were delicious with a very nice spice. Lots of comfortable seating. Good DJ and dance floor. Delicious cocktails. There's a parking lot right across the street. It was $16 on a Sunday night. Not sure what other nights are. I ordered carne Asad tacos that clearly displayed the presence of avocado, but due to my own indescretion of not fully reading the menu I ordered the plate not saying no guacamole due to my sister's allergy. Milan noticed my sister's exit to the restroom and checked up on us. We explained the situation and he did everything in his power to make our night. Though this was due to my own negligence. Went for a team dinner after a recent meeting. The space is cute and welcoming, especially on an early fall evening. We ordered two of each taco and an order of the chips and guacamole. I think the carnitas were my favorite - they were so flavorful, tender, and very rich. I appreciate that they have non-alcoholic drink options. I got the Broken Hearts and it was delicious. We're visiting from Dallas, Texas, and let me just say -- we've never experienced true Southern hospitality in Los Angeles until we walked into this bar. From the moment we stepped in, the greeting was warm, genuine, and inviting. The entire staff from the greeters to the servers were absolute gentlemen. The service was impeccable. Attentive without being overbearing, respectful, and truly made us feel welcomed. The manager personally came over to check on us, and his professionalism and friendliness stood out. You could feel that they genuinely cared about every guest that walked through the door. This was a the worst experience I've had in any LA bar. The security downstairs was doing the most and had the worst attitude. They had us waiting for our 5pm reservation until 5:30 and never mentioned that one of our party wouldn't meet dress code. We could have easily fixed the problem in the meantime while waiting. Not only that but the staff upstairs was in the most casual wear that the customers are forbidden from wearing. The hosts were in workout clothes or pajamas. On to the menu. They don't have the whole menu available to order. Don't plan ahead. We only could order Hornitos tequila and you would assume that your drink would come out faster since they're so limited on options but you would be wrong. We still waited 20 minutes for their Hornitos-based lackluster espresso Martini wannabe drink. We didn't even try to order food for fear that we might never get it. This is a place I would never revisit. There are better bars down the street with friendlier staff and much better Mexican food from the food trucks around. read more

Given how much I enjoyed Somerville, my expectations were high, but I was very disappointed in the overall experience. First--the food is good--no complaints. It's a limited menu, but everything I ate was delicious and seasoned well. I had the ceviche, chicken quesadillas, esquites and churros. The service is where major work is needed. While our waitress was appropriately nice, she seemed overwhelmed and wasn't attentive. There's an overall lack of attention to detail from all service staff and some were dismissive when asked for help. Lastly, the ambiance is nice--great music that was at an appropriate level for conversation. However, seating could use some work--the high tables are extremely uncomfortable with back less metal stools that are terrible ergonomically. I requested to be moved to a lower table with back support and they did accommodate this request. However, I was asked to leave prior to the hour and half cutoff for the reservation--my reservation was at 730p and the manager was already asking us to leave before 9p. Can't say I would return until the staff is better trained in providing customer service. read more
