We went there last night for their soft opening. We were the first guest sitting down! So that is at least memorable. The waiters were very polite and very knowledgeable about their menu. Our server Eric was very friendly and helpful. This was their first night. So thing was a bit slow but that was perfectly understandable. We ordered the short rib, bouillabaisse. Our friend ordered the duck and the sea bass. All of them were very good. The price is very reasonable. There are quite a large selection of cocktails and drinks. Atmosphere is very calm and soothing. Decoration is low profile and artistic. Overall everything is good. Perfect place to unwind after the dreadful grip of the pandemic lockdown. My wife says she will come back very soon with her other buddies. This is one of the finest restaurant now in Arcadia. read more

Yikes! Definitely do not judge a book by its cover. My cousin and I came here for brunch today, and upon walking in, thought the place looked lovely and modern. Then, it went down hill. We stood at the hostess desk, with no hostess anywhere to be found to seat us, despite us having a reservation. Waited a good 5 minutes before the hostess came and acknowledged us. Only to tell us to wait while she goes set up our table, which took another 5 minutes. Interesting she had to do that when there were plenty of open tables... She sat us in the back of the restaurant, where we were then promptly forgotten about by everyone after getting our waters. We waited, and waited, and waited some more. I must've rose my hand more than 10x for 10-15 minutes before anyone came over to us. (My arm is still sore... I got a work out at least?) After waiting for 40 minutes, we finally put in our drink and brunch orders. 15-20 minutes later, another staff came to say that they wanted to double-check our order, asking what it was again... Basically they didn't put in our order. By the time we got our food, it was well over an hour since we got there. Smh... Oh! And to top it off, we had tables all around us that didn't get cleared for at least the first 2 hours we were there. There were small flies/gnats flying around the table next to us, and then towards us at times. For such a fancy-looking place, their service is terribly lacking! Nessa (?) was the one who came to ask us to "confirm" what our order was (because her colleague totally dropped the ball), checked on us after we got our food, apologizing for the delay, and offered us a discount for our inconvenience. (At least we got a discount for waiting for more than an hour to get our food, and sitting there for 3 hours.) So yeah, everyone else definitely needs additional training. I'm not sure if they're understaffed or they just move too slow (e.g. most staff disappeared unless they're serving food, and we witnessed them taking forever to clear out one small table out of the 4-6 that still needed clearing), but something has got to change to make people want to return. Food was decent, but nothing extraordinary. Just know that if u come for brunch, plan on staying for dinner. read more

We tried the restaurant at DineLA week for the first time. It took us 3 hours to finish the meal because it was so slow. The restaurant was not full. I asked dressing on the side for my salad. I was shocked by the waiter's response that my request might not be met because we ordered from the DineLA menu. The beef short ribs appetizer was cold. The roasted chicken was overcooked. They are not ready to launch this restaurant. I wish they had waited until they are the proper staff in place and fully trained. The menu from the QR code differ from that is on the hotel website. Several dishes had been removed - which is understandable - but was never updated on the website. Additionally, the price on some of the items were off when comparing the menu from the QR vs. the printed menu. Small things you'd say but when launching a restaurant of this caliber things need to be delivered right from all touchpoint. Our server, Eric, was very nice but the poor guys was the only server in the dining room. To make things worst for him, the host seated guest all over the dining room so he ended up running from one corner of the restaurant to the next just to provide basic service to his tables. The sea bass was delicious, however, the 3 steak dishes we ordered came out all overcooked - medium rare came medium and medium came to us well. The timing was all over the place as well. The sea bass came first then the 2 filet shortly after... then another 10 minutes lapsed before the 3rd steak dish was delivered. Then time came for dessert and we order 3 of the 'le scoop' and the chocolate torte. The ice cream came but they forgot our chocolate torte - so there was another 10 mins wait. I think that this restaurant has potential but the F&B Department of this hotel MUST get it together before it can thrive. I truly think that this restaurant is worth a try, but I would tell my friends to wait until they work out the kinks. read more

I understand it is the 2nd day of opening. However, I would not eat here again. Had 745pm reservations for my husbands birthday. We were told the steak had an order wait of 25min. No worries, we were staying at the hotel anyway, we could wait for a good steak. We ordered the melange salad, Cesar salad, Brussel sprouts, ny steak and sea bass. The dining room only had 3 other parties at the time we were seated. We were served our side of sprouts first . We waited for about 15 min when We were then approached by the Manager who gave us the Steak plate and explained this restaurant was "family style". Ok, sure we are familiar with family style, so where's the rest of our order to share? Our waiter finally came back and asked, if we needed anything else. Of course we did- our salads and sea bass. I flagged down the manager and told him If this indeed was family style, where were our other dishes and why was the dish that took the longest come out first? He was baffled and couldn't explain himself. I told him perhaps his kitchen staff had let him down. Our server was great , he was doing the best he could. he couldn't explain why we hadn't gotten our other food or how the dish that took the longest had gotten served first . When we received the rest of our meal, it was delicious. They even offered us free dessert. This could have been a 5 star review if the delivery had matched the food quality. We waited a week after the opening in hopes of letting the team work out the kinks that we all expect with opening a new restaurant. Perfect timing to celebrate my partner's birthday. Booked us and noted the birthday as well as a sesame allergy. The decor is quite nice with a tasteful nod to Arcadia's peacock mascot. An open and airy dining room, it was very comfortable. On to the food: our server Aide explained that plates are shared and would come out staggered, perfect, we share everything anyways. For starters we ordered the braised octopus, crispy quail and the melange of beets. Entrees were sea bass with sautéed mushrooms and the half roasted duck. Dessert was flourless chocolate cake. Braised octopus: Decent portions and flavor though still a bit toothsome. Crispy quail: I blame myself for not realizing this was going to be a battered and fried dish. Nothing against orange chicken but this really reminded my of it, which I could have handled if done well but I only ate half of one piece. I found the breading to be a bit soggy versus crispy and the tangerine ginger glaze too sweet. Melange of beets: A nice dish, good variety of beets, the goat cheese and balsamic were the perfect counterparts. Sea bass: Best dish of the night. Cooked perfectly and flavors were balanced. Roasted duck: Very tasty and cooked nicely. The dried cherry, red wine & ginger reduction was especially good. Flourless chocolate cake: Tasty and satisfying, served with vanilla bean ice cream/gelato. Notes: The quail which is designated as an appetizer came out after the sea bass. Was that on purpose, a timing issue or a realization after the sea bass had been served? Our original dessert choice was the Yuzu tart but after ordering it Aide came back with the sad news it was sold out. Mind you, we were the second table this particular evening. Plan B, flourless chocolate cake went into play. The kitchen did a great job of accommodating my allergy which with an Asian based menu can be tricky. Thank you for that. There was no happy birthday gesture or acknowledgment though which we felt was odd. Again, the allergy and birthday celebration were both mentioned in the reservation. Aide was a great server, attentive and friendly, answering all our questions about the food as well as about the hotel. Supporting staff was also very nice and maintained a good flow of our meal. Really interesting menu, lovely atmosphere and some fantastic cocktails too. Hotel dining can often be bland and uninspired due to the captive audience, but Melange and the longitude bar are very different; dare I say a destination for locals not staying at the hotel; including me. I think I found my new hang out spot. I really enjoy the updated food menu. On this visit I had the pink swordfish and it was amazing. Matt and Luis where amazing very attentive and professional Luis made my a delicious Old Fashion. The only reason it's not 5 stars is because they didn't have a TV to watch sports. If they had the game on I would of stayed a lot longer and had some more food/drinks but I left so I can catch the game somewhere else. If they could just get some sports on the TV I would definitely come by more often. But besides that everything else was great. Everyone is very friendly. read more

Dinner here was simply amazing. Chef Mako (who took the time to stop by our table and introduce himself) is truly a master of his craft. The truffle chawanmushi was mouth watering! I've never had chawanmushi with truffle before and the combo definitely worked! The lobster curry and rice was delicious. The lobster was cooked perfectly and was fresh and sweet and melted in your mouth. It even had a crispy spinach on the side that was very good. The waygu beef definitely lived up to the hype and was served with some fresh grated wasabi and yuzu sauces on the side to really add something to what was already an amazing piece of beef. Aide provided great service and made sure we were well taken care of even though it was shaping up to be a busy night. Overall an amazing dining experience! Will definitely be back. read more

My family was really excited to try this new restaurant for dinner, however the food and environment were a huge disappointment. We ordered an appetizer that costs 30 dollars for just three oysters. and they were coated with loads of starch. The quantity of the entrees were small and tasted so plain for the money we were paying. The singer they hired was also terrible, I desperately wanted to get out of that place for my ears were under tremendous torture. Do Not GO, I would not recommend this place! We just had the prefix Mother's Day menu. And we were all pleased and satisfied. The server, greeter and the complimentary photo shoot for mom were all outstanding. Very courteous and nice gesture for moms like me. My three children loved the food. The appetizer of seafood with citrus dressing was excellent. Light and delicious. All the seafood were cooked perfectly....octopus was tender. The salmon was great too although I would prefer it with the skin. I was so full that I had the third course of chicken with mashed potato boxed to go. But my children said the chicken was also delicious not dry at all. And the dessert of rhubarb raspberry compote with the chocolate cake was delectable. It was worth the price. Yes parking was a bit confusing. There should be a sign for a free 3 hour complimentary parking. Some like us don't like valet parking because of safety reason. But over all it's worth. Will be back for brunch. read more

The Crispy Oysters and Sea Bass were my absolute fav...never have I had such amazing plates like this, and I can probably only find these flavors here, so I'll definitely be going back.
