Fountain drinks are self-serve, and they also offer canned and bottled drinks. The veggie dishes, fried rice, and noodles are delicious. I highly recommend the spicy wontons. Their dim sum options aren't the best I've ever had, but their other menu items make up for it. You order at the kiosk and pick up your food when your number is called (they sometimes bring it out to you if you're outside). Prices are on the higher side, so don't go here on a budget. Come later in the evening and eat outside if the weather permits! You'll get thinner crowds, good ambiance, and yummy food.

Sometimes a hot and sour soup craving crashes into my evening at 9 PM with the urgency of a medical emergency, and it's deeply reassuring to know that Lantern Garden is standing by to answer the call. The auntie working behind the counter was incredibly kind and patiently explained the entree options when I asked whether they came with rice. When I learned that a side bowl was $3, I briefly slipped into my "back in the day" era and held a tiny memorial service for the days when rice practically came free. Then I remembered it's 2026, sighed dramatically, and accepted my fate. I ordered the one bowl special with country style tofu, and of course, the hot and sour soup. The soup arrived at approximately the temperature of the earth's molten core. Did that stop me from taking an immediate bite? Of course not. I nearly sacrificed my taste buds because patience has never been one of my defining traits. It was worth every poor life decision. The soup was everything I'd been craving- tangy, savory, deeply comforting, and gloriously vinegar-forward.
