A local told us about this cafe. I totally agree it's a top notch cafe. We came here twice in the weekend. It's that good. We tried the drip, the matcha with oat milk, dirty chai,cortado and the golden eye. We bought almost oat all the cookies they had. I like the one with the sesame, the chocolate chip and the lemon. There are not too many seats inside. The guy behind the cashier was not super friendly like most locals but I would still recommend coming here for the coffee and desserts. Good coffee, kind staff. I came across a YouTube video recommending cafes in the area and that's how I heard about Mañana (bein honest). We dropped in here before our mini road trip outside of Austin for the day and grabbed a cup of coffee to go. The coffee was very smooth. We had a hot coffee and an iced coffee. What I found to be interesting is that the self serve barista stand does not offer Whole Milk, only half and half (very common I am noticing in a lot o cafes nearby as well). Of course, they did have some Whole Milk to pour into my coffee from the barista counter. When I had the coffee it was room temperature and I think the cold milk also didn't help. Was visiting Austin just for the day, and discovered this cute coffee shop from an Instagram post! Just off of S. Congress, a very ~aesthetic~ place to get your quick caffeine fix. The staff were extremely extremely nice, helped explain their pastries and recommendations on what to drink! Their iced matcha latte sweetened with house syrup and oat milk = DIVINE. Also their oat milk vanilla latte was very good. x10000 points for using oatly oat milk (I am an oat milk SNOB). My nephew also enjoyed their chocolate chip cookie. Manana is the coffee shop/juice bar inside the hip South Congress Hotel in South Austin. From the moment you walk inside, you'll notice the blue tile walls and bar and the high ceilings with exposed pipes. There are a few small high tables near outlets, a long wood table, and several window seats. There's free wifi (doesn't require a password) making it a good spot to work. The coffee is consciously selected from roasteries in the USA. They make their own pastries every day and sell a variety of items from sandwiches to ice cream sandwiches, to puppy pops. They also sell local oat milk and fancy juice. I ordered Juice Society's "activated lemonade" (it has charcoal in it) and it was $8. WHAT?! So expensive. If you're up for classic roasts, espresso drinks (hot or iced), or a even a matcha latte, they've got you covered. They use locally roasted beans to craft their specialty brews and the flavor is phenomenal! Prices ranged between $3-$6 depending on what you get. And they have options of adding extra shots of espresso, flavors, or dairy alternatives. One thing I tried was their nitro cold brew. Obviously, very smooth, soft flavor that could easily be enjoyed black. Walking in, I got a chic, minimalist, hipster vibe with an open-ish concept. I decided to stop by Mañana after seeing it on a TikTok and I was not disappointed. I had looked up the menu before and noticed they had a lavender syrup which sounded amazing but I wasn't sure what to pair it with when ordering. The barista was so helpful and suggested a latte so I went with and Iced Lavender Latte w/Oat Milk and it was so refreshing. I took my drink to go this time but I'd definitely come back to order a drink and sit in their outdoor area to work or eat too. COVID Precautions: All staff wore masks and gloves and customers are required to wear masks upon entry. I had a recipe for Kouign Amann that I wanted to try but as I'd never had this pastry, I thought I'd try one first. A Yelp reviewer rated Mañana's the best Kouign Amann in Austin so I placed an online order. Found free parking on the SoCo corner (!) and walked off the street to the coffee shop. When I arrived, I was greeted in a friendly way and I picked up my little bag. I took it home wondering about the big deal about this small croissant-like roll. When I tasted it, I understood - this is DELICIOUS!!! I put one on a plate for my hubby who said he wouldn't eat it as he'd already eaten. But he tasted it and the rest disappeared in a few bites. The interior of Mañana is modern and gives you all the perfect positive work vibes. The workers here are pretentious, not friendly when answering questions to people who've never been there before, and it's "how much would you like to tip?" vs "would you like to tip?". I thought this was place would be good since you can often judge by the latte art, however, I was served my latte with the LID ALREADY ON. How am I supposed to see the latte art with the lid on! Oh wait, it's because they didn't even take the time to do latte art. That said, the latte tasted fine. Stunning coffee shop, truly. I've been waiting to go here for so long it did not disappoint! It's a long skinny shop with seating on both sides as well as lots of outdoor seating. The decor is beautiful and it's so relaxing and refreshing inside. Lots of big windows which create great lighting. Service was friendly, helpful and professional. Location: I really like the location of the coffee shop because it's located on the side of South Congress next to a parking garage. It is very easy to find. Service/environment: When I first walked in it was very busy. The service was very fast so I didn't mind it. Since it was very busy they didn't have enough tables outside and inside. I had to sit on the high tops. High tops are not my favorite because they are uncomfortable for working. The restrooms were great, they had scented lotion and hand soap which I really appreciated. Also another nice touch was that they had free sparking water on tap. Food/drinks: I had a delicious cafe mocha. They added the right amount chocolate in the drink. Love this place. Their iced chai lattes are so so good and the right amount of sweet. Talking/thinking about it makes me want one now! The pastries are great, and I love their gluten free chocolate cookie. I think there are pecans in it? It's pretty shelf stable because I bought it and took it home where I forgot about it until 3 days later lol oops. It tasted great and was still chewy with a little bit of crunch. The macarons are also really good. Honestly, is anything bad here lol the macaron flavors were uncommon, but still very appealing taste buds-wise. I highly recommend. I'm having trouble giving it five stars, but I can't seem to justify giving it less. It has everything that I want in a coffee shop except comfortable lounge-type seating. It's just not that type of coffee shop. It's more of a pass through or quick bite. Maybe since it's connected to a hotel, it's bustling and you don't see anyone working on a computer or reading a book the way you would in a quiet nook of some coffee shops. Stop in and you'll be greeted by friendly staff, a sleek interior, an amazing pastry case, and a simplified menu board. They have their own kombucha on tap and some lovely rotating pastries. The kolaches are not your typical ones, but you gotta try one with a dollop of cream cheese flowing out of the middle. Also, the crossaints and kouin aman are so delicate and buttery that you'll swear they're better than some in Paris. They even have their own toaster pastries (remember the Pillsbury ones?).
