If you're ever making a day trip or simply exploring S. Congress, I highly recommend you get your caffeine fix at Mañana. Not only are their coffee beans super smooth, but you'll feel like you can accomplish a million things off of your to-do list. This coffee shop is neatly tucked away in a corner but the mosaic tile and open windows will lead you to the right direction. I've had the pleasure of enjoying their cold brews, iced lattes (mixed it up with in-house syrups and alternative milks), baked goods, and have worked away one of their high tops. The wifi is super strong and they have a gender neutral bathroom for you to use. This coffee shop has some great paradox of standing still even though it's in one of the busiest areas of town. It isn't super flooded with folks and it really does give off the vibe of a neighborhood coffee shop. read more

Came to visit Austin and explored SoCo. Stopped by this coffee shop and it blew me away. If you're a coffee lover, recommend a flat white with almond milk. It was so good, smooth and bold! I ended up buying a bag of their beans. They offered to ground the beans for me which was really nice. Staff here is also really nice. A guy before me ordered a Cortado in a very specific, lengthy way. I observed Staff remained patient and treated him kindly. I ordered this assuming it would be a lot sweeter than the Matcha, but I also did not like this. I think maybe I am just not a fan of their coffee beans. Not sure what it was but overall didn't like the taste of either of my drinks sadly. That's not to say that this isn't a cool spot to check out. If you're looking to work, remote, with ac in a fun part of town , which I did, it's worth stopping by. They have a really nice long table and if feels quite enough that you're able to focus. I would come back and try some of their pastries. I scored it low for price, because I thought the cost was a little high for what it was. My drink cost 6.25, I gave $10 cash and only got around $1.50 in change - so the math didn't math, but I wasn't given a receipt so i didn't bother following up on it. Mañana is a small coffee shop that is a bit tucked away from the main road and has a quiet indoor and outdoor space for studying, working or simply enjoying the day, I ordered an iced matcha latte and a slice of the pistachio citrus (orange?) babka. The latte comes unsweetened, which I loved! I also had the option of choosing between oat or almond milk, which was surprisingly pleasant since most places usually make drinks with whole milk. I don't know if normal "cow milk" is an option here for those who love that real stuff, but the oat milk was very pleasant. The latte was oddly very thick, and they definitely didn't skimp on the matcha powder. Overall, it was very refreshing on a warm day. The citrus babka was huge. Unfortunately, it had a rubbery tortilla and little flavor, but the is probably what some people are looking for. We tried the chocolate cookie- too much cinnamon. The macaron were crispy and light. Piña colada flavor was okay- the filling tasted more apple than pineapple. Peaches and crème flavor was also okay. Too sweet for me, but it was just right for a 9yo's palate. Came here on a Saturday morning as we were waiting for our table at cafe no se which is just around the corner. We ordered an iced matcha latte and an iced latte. I also got an everything kolache. Seating is limited inside (mostly communal) but there's some outdoor seating with umbrellas. Both the drinks were a bit too milky for my liking and lacking flavor, but the everything kolache was delicious. Found this place while looking for an espresso place we hadn't tried but that was relatively close to work. It was 830ish on a Tuesday morning and the place was empty. Looked at the menu and really liked what I saw: partries, other baked goods, and tacos (which were already sold out - that says something!). Ordered a ham and cheese croissant and a Kouign Amann to go with our drip coffee and cortado. They asked if we wanted our pastries heated up and we both agreed. I loved that they didn't stick them in a microwave but in an over where our partries maintained their flaky layers. While I truly appreciated this touch, maybe the ham and cheese croissant should've been kept in this a little longer as the ham and cheese were still a bit cold while the outside was warm. Would've taken ot back for an additional minute or two of a heat blast but we were already on the road. She loved her drip coffee and my cortado was pretty good. Wish we could've stayed and enjoyed the seating in the courtyard as it was truly something else. You have a great, chill playlist going while listening to the water crashing from the fountain. First, the name is perfect for Austin, "Mañana" which in Spanish means "morning" (or "tomorrow", but I think they meant morning here), it's a great coffee shop to get your morning going. Second, flavor, all of their coffee beans are smooth yet intense; after all coffee should taste like coffee, not some watered down bitter concoction. They have about 15 different ways to order your coffee on their menu and they will even accommodate any special requests. Depending on my mood, I either get the Americano which is packed with flavor, a macchiato that is just the right size for a quick pick-me-up or if it's later in the morning, I order the Nitro Cold Brew on tap, what a refreshing beverage. Heck, sometimes I order a macchiato to enjoy right there and take a Nitro Cold Brew to go. My wife likes to order one of their dozen or so teas, their jasmine and hibiscus are extra special. If you're early enough, you have to try one of their house made pastries, always fresh, moist and crispy. This place is why mornings are special. read more

Went here yesterday for the first time and was initially very impressed. After I received my iced oat milk almond brown sugar latte I did not care for the flavor and politely asked if the staff could make me something else. When the worker remade me a drink I specifically asked for oatmilk and even asked again if my drink was oat milk and they assured me it was. I have a severe dairy allergy and was in extreme pain afterwards. My digestive pain was so severe I almost went to the ER last night. I am beyond disappointed. I have tried calling the store but it instantly goes to voicemail. This is such a shame because I was visiting the SoCo area on my vacation and this has ruined my experience. $8 for a latte is already kind steep and I happily paid it because I thought I was getting a product that was worth it however I am extremely disappointed and hope I can get a refund at the very least for my traumatic experience. read more

Just a hint of lemon in the icing. The chai tea latte is also pretty good. The breakfast taco is just so-so. Only one piece of bacon and mostly egg. Friendly service, but seems somewhat disorganized.
