A really great place to chill or do work! It's located in South Congress on the side of a hotel, so it is great that you don't have to be in the middle of all the chaos, but still, be close to everything. This is oddly specific, but this cafe is the perfect temperature. It's not too hot/cold in the middle of summer which I really appreciate. Maqui Berry Tea - This is definitely on the expensive side. 83 degree weather = hydration in the form of caffeine! Sure, why not! My family and I were walking and exploring South Congress and we stumbled upon Mañana. A quick yelp search let us know that it's definitely worth stopping by and we needed very little convincing based on the reviews and pictures. A few things: 1. Stroller parents! Don't do what we did and haul your stroller upstairs. Go around and you'll see that there is another way to go inside which is definitely easier. 2. If you buy a bag of coffee beans, you'll get a free drink. In my case, I bought 2 bags as souvenirs for family and got 2 free drinks. I ended up getting an iced golden eye (basically a golden milk with espresso) and an iced latte. 3. Don't be afraid to ask any questions or for suggestions. There are so many wonderful options and the baristas really know their stuff. 4. Pastries! It's definitely worth it! Let's just say that I wasn't very hungry but somehow still had room for pastries. This included a chocolate croissant, kouign amann, and a sugar cookie for my toddler. Everything was so delicious and paired well with the caffeinated drinks. 5. Outdoor and indoor seating available. Depending on the weather, it's nice to have both options. We ended up sitting outside at a table with an umbrella for shade. Basically, this is definitely worth going and I highly recommend it. Mañana in Austin has always been a favorite of mine. Every time I land in Austin, I make a point to visit. I love the ambiance, the location, and of course, the coffee. I'm not sure if I came on an off day but unfortunately Manana fell flat for me. I decided to go with a Matcha Latte for the hot summer Austin day. As I'm ordering, I ask the barista if there are any milk substitutions available and I was just given a blank stare for a good awkward 10 seconds followed by ..."yeah...oat or almond". I'm sure this question is not unusual for a cafe but the whole interaction was pretty awkward. There seemed to be a low level of enthusiasm amongst the workers and it reflected in the way they interacted with my friends and I. The drink itself was not great. They unfortunately put too much powder where it started to collect on the bottom and as a result the drink was gritty. However I will say the blueberry basil blondie I got was good and had a well balance of textures and flavors. I wanted Manana to be great given the publicity I have seen for this cafe, but the overall experience was quite disappointing. The space itself is fine and had a few tables if you want to work or talk with friends. There is also some patio space out back with additional tables. In the summer I like grabbing one of the popsicles out of the freezer, it's so refreshing. This last visit it was a cold and windy day. This Mañana location is not visible from the street but it's easy to access if you walk through the breezeway in the South Congress Hotel. I love how zen the outdoor area is with several water features. It's not very big inside but there is some seating available. I ordered an iced green matcha latte, it was great except I did have to add a couple of stevia packets. I do like it a little sweeter though and would just ask for it next time. Also want to add they do have a bathroom, there's only one but it's clean and there usually isn't a wait for it. It's my go to stop for some caffeine anytime I'm down here. read more

They have a lot of outlets for the tables by the wall and a good selection of coffee and drinks.
