Solid breakfast. The food came out very quickly and was yummy. I love that they give you a fruit cup with blueberries, bananas, strawberries, raspberries, pineapple, and grapefruit. The staff was a little frazzled as I think they were experiencing a rush and we waited quite a while for the check after our table had been cleared. Such a wonderful, amazing, delicious place! My husband will treat me to a special visit to Maggie's on Meeker every now-and-then. We don't go too often only because I am in love with the All Fruit Waffles, and I can't be having cake for breakfast all the time. But seriously, the All Fruit Waffles, with the homemade whip cream is amazing. It sounds simple, but holy cow, it's amazing. My other favorite simple dish is just a ham and cheese sandwich on grilled sourdough. I don't even know what magical thing they do in the kitchen, but it's so good. Welp, its too bad we have to do this, but having to go into a restaurant 3x for our order means a rating of 3 stars. We were given wrong order for pick up and almost left parking lot - luckily husband checked the meal boxes. 2nd time we were given the correct order and extra treats were given to make up for the mistake - no biggie, crap happens. We are about to start the car to leave, but then nope, just kidding: we noticed there was actually an entire meal that was left out. Husband went back in again to wait, only to have them pull out one of the meal boxes from the 1st order that we picked up. Then we arrived at home and realized that the eggs from one of the meals was not cooked as requested. We support local and small businesses, but this place will need to do better and we believe they can get it together soon. Prices are fair, food is good, but nothing out of the ordinary when ihop is better and for around same price. The person who took our order over the phone was friendly, efficient and was able to accommodate a substitute for me at not extra charge. I thought maybe it was just a one time deal and they were having a rough day, but recent reviews say otherwise. We will be back, but later rather than sooner. read more

As the size can tell you it's well worth the extra money and the overall taste is creamy and brings the richness or warm and cozy nights by the fire. I had the waffle with two sausages and a basted egg, very good and the yoke was cooked to perfection. Traveling from downtown Tacoma, my boyfriend and I were in Kent to pickup an offer up purchase (actually it was free sooooo holla!) and we did it first thing in the morning so we were starving heading back and decided to stop somewhere. There were tons of buss boys running around and actually had our drink order taken by a few haha (they were on top of it) we were told it was going to take about 40 minutes from the time we order until we got our food which we figured was about normal. They took care of us in every other way (sat us, drink orders, took our food order) immediately. It didn't feel like it was 40 minutes but it was definitely a wait. Now. The food. Oh. Em. Geeeee. I absolutely love chicken fried steak and eggs so naturally I ordered that. Steven did "make your own omelette" and after seeing a fruit cup pass us by he had to order one of those as well. Thank goodness he did bc it was gone is less than 2 minutes! He said his omelette was delicious! My food is a little trickier because there's three things I judge: eggs, steak and gravy. All were exceptional just to keep it short and sweet. The gravy was pretty peppery but not too much to handle. Would absolutely recommend and go back if ever in the area. Steven even mentioned it was a place worth driving a little out of the way for- high praise! This is a very low-key, hole-in-the-wall breakfast spot. The building is unassuming and you can easily miss the goodness inside! We went on the weekend when they were doing their quiche specials. At first glance I thought the place was small and there was a large mirror on the back wall but it was another large room on the other end of the restaurant! Wow this place was huge! Service was quick since its was early around 8am on a Friday just before Memorial Day not a lot of people mainly locals. Was craving breakfast over the weekend and let my sister pick the spot we ate at. She always heard about this place so we decided to give it a try. Once you step in you can tell it's a family owned restaurants. The staff was cheerful as they greeted everyone who came through the door. A young gentlemen greeted us and informed us it would take a little longer than usual to get our food after we ordered. I believed they were short staffed and I appreciated that he let us know upfront before we sat down. We sat down, ordered some coffee, and went over the menu. Coffee came piping hot and promptly with glasses of water. I ordered a pancake with fresh fruit and a side of the house corned beef. My sister ordered their regular breakfast platter that came with eggs, bacon, hash browns, and toast. The food actually didn't take that long to come out. Everything was super hot and delicious. The pancake was fluffy and the fruit was super fresh. I was a huge fan of the corned beef as it wasn't super salty like some other places. My sister was satisfied with her dish. FyI: You need to prove yourself compliant prior to entry. I've previously eaten here and the food was good. I tried to go this morning and they have a sign up and you have to show proof of vaccination. I'm vaccinated but don't and won't carry a card. Eggs were pretty close to raw, where the whites were not even all solidified. Bacon still had lots of fat and not at all crispy. English muffin was slightly warmed, not toasted...but dripping in butter. To be fair, the hash browns were good. No one stopped to see how the food was after dropping it off, so I couldn't get it fixed.For two of us to have this awful meal was $40. Though we were admonished for "trying to pay to soon". The diner had large windows to allow passerbys to sneak-a-peek into Maggie's World, hoping they too, could experience her in all of her glory and splendor.
