Finding Mailbox plus really changed the way I mail anything. I was terrified of shipping anything because of long lines and far drives. But Mailbox Plus is just a few blocks away, and the owner is always so efficient that there's never a line. He also doesn't try anything janky like the post office who will make you buy a whole roll of tape just to seal your package. He's always willing to help. Sometimes if there's a line he tells you to drop the package off to the side and he will take care of it later. I was nervous to trust him at first since I was sending in a 400 dollar cellphone for repair. But every single time everything always arrives with no issues. Walked in to buy a box and send some via fed-ex. The man gave me a box, taped it and said That's it, no charge for the box. My label was pre paid which I was aware of not paying for shipping. The free box and service was superb, I don't use PO boxes so I can't comment on that. The man was so helpful and nice, he even said be nice and it come around. All I can say is this place DOES deserve 10 stars!! you cannot imagine a more accommodating place, in LA, in Valley Village, anywhere!! You go in just to mail something, but you come out knowing there are people who really care and want to help and take care of their community! Arthur has always stepped up and offered more than I would ever imagine from a shipping place. They do everything here, not just mailing packages or provide PO boxes. It's a small shop, but they do not disappoint in the services offered. I've mailed things, made copies, scanned important private documents. I feel that I will be taken care of here and trust that my important documents and packages that need to be sent out are safe. This place is great! It is owner run and the customer service is off the charts. It's a small business and I try when possible to support small business. I believe if you don't the time will come that there won't be any small businesses left. He has long business hours and is open on Saturdays for a half day. I mostly get copies made there. Not a big sale but he makes me feel important. When I need a package shipped or just a letter mailed, I know he is there to help and to save me a trip to the post office which can take at least an hour to park, walk in, wait, and walk back to the car. I broke my toe and walking is difficult right now. This place has parking right at the door. That there is worth everything to me. Don't believe the guy who left one star. You can not only send and receive mail here, you can also get your goods shipped and sent off securely by the very capable Mr. Lai. I'm very picky when it comes to who is seeing what I'm sending out (maybe a summer sausage for the kids, some costly jewelry that one of my ungrateful nieces begged me for..more on that later)..but you want to be sure your goods are safe and being handled by someone classy..look no further. Mailbox Plus is the place to do all of this. You will feel like bringing a thermos of coffee and sitting down for a visit with Mr. Lai, the vibe and atmosphere are so welcoming. I'm meticulous when it comes to having to be anywhere these days (at my age, I've earned it) and my nephew just raved about how great this place is. They also do notary work here, so if you need papers notarized, go to the best. Mr. Lai and his establishment are the best. And just a charming and helpful man, my nephew insists I come here to have my legal paperwork (wills, trust, etc) notarized here. And I will (in mentioning those ungrateful nieces, there are some changes I need to make in a certain will.
