I finally got to try Maison Passerelle for restaurant week dinner. Being a fan of Gregory's I had high expectations. The restaurant is beautiful with the service matching. All the staff were kind, helpful and knowledgeable. The food itself fell flat and hope that their regular menu is better. I got the prawn appetizer, steak frites, and strawberry pavlova. The savory dishes were heavy handed on the salt and nothing that stood out as amazing. It was also odd that they combined the fries, we ordered 3 steak dishes but only 2 fry containers came out. The server explained that's how the kitchen did it and we didn't ask further questions. Overall, it seems that their regular menu is better.

Came here for a birthday dinner. The experience and food was great. The menu is a prefix $150pp.The service was as one would desire. I loved the ambience and the music. The cocktails were good too. I would recommend this place for a special occasion for sure. We ate everything that was served. Well done and so delicious.

Exquisite fusion french cuisine Maison Passerelle is part of the French department store Printemps in FD. It is convenient located off the subway and pretty easy to find. The luxurious ambiance and fine dining level service made it befitting to be an extension of Printemp's space. I appreciated the uniqueness of the menu items on the prix fixe dinner which I consider a great value fine dining option knowing pricing of similar restaurants these days and even had generous portions making it a steal! I ordered citrus cured kampachi (oh so refreshing and perfect for the summer; favorite appetizer ), cane syrup glazed duck (tasty and flavorful), strawberry rhubarb petit gateau (very strawberry forward which I loved but the shell was a bit hard to cut through but still my favorite dessert here), and the good twin (great zero proof wine) to drink. They also gave us a shot of vegan pho broth which was so amazing I could hardly tell it was vegan and was sad they only gave a small shot of and rice and beans for the table which helped to fill out the dishes. I also tried other dishes from the group: daily oysters (standard good oysters), green asparagus salad (nice and crunchy but kind of standard), poached maine lobster (tasted like spring with such delicate flavors coming together; it was my favorite main course), grilled aged rib eye (you could definitely taste the smoky coffee flavor at the end; only recommend to coffee flavor lovers), spring herb sorbet (great for a hot day), coconut chiboust (was too full to try), dark chocolate cake (yum). Strongly recommend!

wow - I am stunned. First of all the service and ambiance was a 10/10. The dining room is furnished well and has dim lighting. The staff is warm and the way they take true care of their guests was special. The beet salad, burger, fries and ice cream sandwich. All dishes were unique in their own way. The burger blew me away. I could easily say that this is the best burger i've had in NYC to date. I am from LA where it's a big burger market and so it's been hard to find something that tops my experiences at home BUT this is it! The bun is brioche and perfectly soft and warm. The meat is wagyu which you know we can't get any better than that!! The mix of the caramelized onions, edam cheese and fermented chili sauce... it had so much flavor and I was thoroughly impressed. The fries were crispy and the dipping sauces were to die for. Both were great- hard to choose which was better. If anyone is looking for a perfect burger then this is your spot. Also, the chocolate ice cream sandwich was a light, tasty touch to end a perfect meal. No notes!!!!

Came back for dinner a second time and had a less than stellar experience. While the duck remains very good (definitely order this), we didn't really like anything else we ordered, which included the kampachi starter (tasted fishy and not high quality fish) and the Cajun type risotto starter (forget the name but felt the rice was too hard and undercooked), the lobster spaghetti (pasta was undercooked and the lobster was overcooked), and the pikiliz (too sour for my personal taste). As for service, they forgot about our two entrees. After waiting for 40-50 min after our appetizers, we asked someone to check on our entrees. Turned out they forgot them so they had to fire them and we waited maybe another 10-15 min. On the plus side, someone came by and deeply apologized and said they would comp our meal. Our bill came and we were charged for everything. I paid it then my husband reminded me they should've at least taken off the entrees so we went back and told them and they said they would reverse the payment and comp the whole meal (there was some miscommunication). Over all, I'm sad to say that as excited as I was about the place given Top Chef, I won't be returning. But if you do come, get the duck!

Great new restaurant in the Printemps store! It was a little tricky to find the entrance from inside since you need to walk through the back door of a bar, so just ask the host to show you the way. We visited for lunch and ordered the bannann peze, pan roasted bass, burger, and fries. Everything was cooked well. I loved the chili herb relish and pikliz as well as the creole ketchup that came with the fries - the flavors were so punchy and delicious! If I had one note, it would be that the skin of the bass wasn't crispy at all. But the cook on the fish and especially the scallop in that dish was 10/10. Bonus was seeing Gregory Gourdet in the kitchen!

A pretty busy spot on a beautiful building, this is the restaurant attached to Printemps. There is also a nice bar next door. We went for restaurant week and sat at the counter because our table was running over. The menu is French diaspora inspired with some heavy south east Asian and Creole flavors. The duck curry was a highlight. Restaurant week was good value, but the regular prix fixe priced seems quite high for what it looks like.

A great option for gluten free people. Although not directly advertised, the entire menu is gluten-free. A bit pricy and a prefix menu which limits the options a little. But we all had a great time and everything was pretty delicious. The only item that was not for me was the lobster and pasta dish. The chicken and the duck were highlights of the main course. The staff was great and helpful. And the ambiance was great as well. We did not try the bar but it looked like a nice place to hang out for drinks.

Maison Passarelle is the cool new restaurant inside the beautiful Printemps building downtown. The restaurant is eclectic with bright colored tiles and stand out chandeliers, a great spot for striking conversations over a small dinner. We visited for restaurant week - and apparently got some new testers on the menu. Food is inspired by French colonial cuisines - lots of Thai, south east asian, New Orleans, etc. The dishes were tasty. Some flavours were a bit boring compared to other places in NY but overall pretty good. I really enjoyed the coconut salad, the duck curry and the olive oil cake. Service still working out some kinks with servers repeating asks or going to take away glassware before being served etc but nothing major.

On the first floor of Printemps in FiDi, this beautiful restaurant serves gourmet Haitian food with French flair. It is surprisingly easy to get a reservation here considering the quality and uniqueness of the cuisine. The grand dining room features green couches, luminous stained glass, warm lighting, and leafy tile floors. The waiters with matching green neckties provide white glove service. The Kokoye punch is a standout cocktail featuring clarified coconut milk, Glenlivet, rum, and oolong tea. The amuse bouche of tomato soup with coconut milk and pickled jalapeño awakens the senses. The sweet potato soup was a surprisingly good starter with cinnamon, ginger, and pickled apple. The ocean trout had a crispy skin served with plantain purée and ti malice, a tangy Haitian hot sauce. The coconut chiboust was a memorable dessert served with toasted coconut sorbet.

We made a late reservation and from the moment we arrived everything felt welcoming and effortless. The hostess, Lola, greeted us with a warm smile and immediately accommodated our request for a power table which set a great tone for the evening. Soon after we met Hannah, the sommelier. She was knowledgeable and easy to talk to. We chatted about wine and we got tastings to help us decide. Every option she brought was excellent and clearly well thought out. Our server Estefania from Venezuela was just as impressive. She was friendly, attentive, and confident in her recommendations which made the experience even better for us as first time guests. For appetizers, we ordered the Citrus Cured Kampachi along with the Daily Oysters. Both were fresh and delicious. The kampachi stood out for its unique and balanced flavors, unlike anything we've had before in a really good way. For our main courses, we tried the Cane Syrup Glazed Duck and the Spaghetti Homard. The duck was outstanding, perfectly cooked, and one of the best we've ever had. The pasta was bright, fresh, and full of flavor. To finish, we shared the Coconut Chiboust and the Chocolate Ginger Crémeux. The coconut dessert was light, tropical, and delicious. The crémeux was creative and well made, though the flavor combination wasn't quite our style. Overall, our experience at Maison Passerelle was excellent from start to finish. The service, the wine, and the food all came together perfectly. We would definitely return for a special occasion.

We had a lovely dinner here. We had a reservation in advance. We loved the decorations inside. I think it's a good idea to go here with a group as the food is meant to be shared family style. Our favorites were the sweet potato and peanut soup, duck, and crispy ocean trout. Drinks wise I ordered the kokoye punch, it was awesome. Service was great. Definitely on the pricier side in terms of what you get for portions.

The RW menu was nice and well worth it, but as for me, I saw something else that I would rather have than the choices on the RW menu. I decided to go with the duck confit, but I did not read the menu thoroughly to see what side it came with. When it came out I saw it was with Flageolet bean Ragout which unfortunately I cannot eat, so I had to let Anna our server know. I was hoping she would keep the duck and just replace the side, but it looked like they made a completely new order, what service. My wife and son both ordered from RW menu and chose the boeuf bourgigninon which was so delicious, very tender beef and smooth mashed potatoes. We decided to also order escargot and French onion soup. Our service was just amazing from Anna our main server and the support servers who brought out our orders and to those who made sure our glasses were never empty. Of course the prefixe dessert was also delicious. Just super happy we learned that it was restaurant week and that we were able to experience it.

Oh, what a delight to stumble upon Marseille on a rainy day!…read more We stumbled into Marseille completely by chance. We were actually going to a different restaurant but the rain came down so hard, we needed to go somewhere closer. I want to come back and have a true meal here! (Apparently they do a discounted steak frites and that is my love language.) The staff very kindly accommodated us even thought we didn't have a reservation (we were only two). Everything in Marseille is done with a purpose. The waiters are all dressed in the same charming uniform. The cocktails are crafted with certain flavor profiles in mind. The menu is there to whisk you away to a little, remote village in France - except, you're on 9th Avenue in New York City and the street is littered with pushy walkers and....well, you get the drill. Anyway. Marseille begins the meal with the most excellent bread service. A fresh, hot sourdough roll is placed upon your table, along with herbed butter and oil. I could make a meal out of that bread alone. My cousin and I split the mushroom ravioli as an appetizer - a little salty, but excellent. The flavors were very well balanced and six was a good number for a dinner portion. We actually opted for the French onion soup as out main, and it was probably the best French onion soup we've ever had. There was also so much, we could not finish it. My Francais G&T was unbelievably good and came with a cornichon. Actually, shout out to our busser (I wish I got his name!) who accidentally took my drink-pickle away and had the waiter bring over more to make up for it. It was such a kind gesture and he deserves to be awarded for his attention to detail. (The wait staff overall was excellent. Kudos to the tall waiter with the snake ring and the shorter waitress with the great eyebrows. Again, I wish I got their names!) Oh, and as a bonus - they gave us some incredible truffles as a parting gift because we didn't stay for dessert. Like I said - the attention to detail here is on point! Overall, this is a fabulous spot. I would love to try brunch here!

Our waiter was super friendly and attentive, with a great sense of humor that made the whole dinner even more enjoyable. I especially recommend the heirloom tomato salad--it was the perfect balance to all the richer appetizers. For my main, I ordered the duck à l'orange. The plating was beautiful, and they even brought some fire into the presentation (the only picture I managed to take ). The duck was cooked to perfection--juicy, tender, and full of flavor. The parsnips were okay, although I wasn't a huge fan of the pairing with the duck. We ended the night with a dessert recommended by our waiter. It was some sort of cloudy foam with candy on top. (This didn't affect me since on my first visit I only ordered soup.) Same thing happened this time, and there was a significant delay between our soup/salad course and entrees. We were told the kitchen was backed up. this is apparently the norm. For appetizers, the French onion soup was a gold star dish. My friend had the goat cheese salad which she said was also very good. The Chicken Cordon Bleu was good, and a hard-to-find dish in NYC. While eating our entrees, the server never checked on how things were or if we needed anything. Once finished, we sat there for a long time waiting for our plates to be cleared, and finally had to "announce" that we were done and request our dessert (as we had ordered the prix fixe menu). For dessert we ordered the Dame Blanche and Profiteroles. I would recommend neither. The ice cream (in both) was poor quality, crystallized and not creamy. A real shame.
