What more could you want in a little cafe? I'm somewhat of an almond milk latte connoisseur, and they make my favorite that I've had as of late. It's so silky smooth and has that just-bitter aftertaste I crave. Maman has an ideal combination of healthy and decadent - wonderful avocado spreads, but irresistible almond croissants, too! I got to try their bourbon bacon jam, and holy moly, it was so good! The croissants go perfectly with their lattes. Highly recommend this particular pastry! I enjoy the rustic and cozy vibe this place brings. Service is nice and fast; drinks are up front and food is in the back. Order up there, but they'll bring your food to your table. We came here for the cute floral ambiance and pastries. The reason for the 3 stars is related to the service. It was fairly busy for a sunday brunch crowd and I appreciated that they asked for proof of vaccination from a health standpoint but there were 3 tables set up while we were dining that did not appear to be sanitized before placing down new place settings. When we sat down for our table there was a bottle of water that was not closed with the cap on top and no cups for water. While we sat at our table eating I noticed that other tables had brand newly filled water pitchers with the cap sealed for the tables across the restaurant from us. The croissants were sold out by the time we arrived so we got a pistachio loaf which was a bit dry. The papas breakfast bowl had sweet bacon, a poached egg and fingerling potatoes which were nice and warm. However my wife's rattatouille bowl's potatoes were dry and overcooked but the tomato sauce was good. The omelette was also dry too. The only redeeming thing was the flat white coffee and the hot honey lavender lattes. After finishing our meal I got up from the table to find water cups since there wasnt any on our side. Sadly I do not recall anyone who came by to ask how we were doing but they attended to the family sitting at the same communal table. Such a cute cafe with tasty food to boot! I had their cauliflower grilled cheese with side salad, carrot squash soup, hot jasmine tea, and chocolate chip cookie (I know, that's a lot for one person!). The grilled cheese was ooey gooey and delicious, and the soup was creamy and rich. I took the cookie to-go, but it still was soft and chewy as a snack that evening. They're more of a "laptop-free" cafe and they promote face-to-face conversations or a good-ol' phone call. Since I was solo that day, I spent my time catching up with a friend on the phone. Visited this location of Maman with my two kids recently and we had a great experience. The service was super friendly, they had special kid-sized hot chocolates, and the food and baked goods were phenomenal. The aesthetics at all Maman locations, including this one, are hard to beat! Ample blue-and-white chinoiserie wallpapers and cups, twisted fake plants crawling up the walls, and coziness all around at this location (though note that laptops are no longer allowed inside!). I do wish that the drinks were as stellar as the cafe's interior, though - the chai latte I got was rather disappointing. Place is gorgeous but super crowded and noisy which defeats the casual ambiance they were going for. Not the restaurants fault but something to note. The pastries were a hit including their amazing nutty chocolate chip cookie! Must try it! Their croissants were ok. I didn't like the chocolate one as much as I thought I would. I was able to get all 3 in their pastry assortment deal for $10 which was great (dine in only). The coffee was gorgeous and tasted great. The food itself wasn't the best. My avocado toast was average but the fried egg I ordered was overcooked. The grilled cheese had a good concept with the cauliflower inside but it was such a tiny portion and the bread was really hard. It also had an overwhelming amount of goat cheese. The salad that came with it was delicious tho and surprisingly one of my favorite items. I think the biggest issue was the manager at this location. She just didn't seem to want to do her job and I felt bad for the employees. My waitress didn't know about the quiches they offered and she told us she was gonna have the manager explain it to us. The manager refused to help her and told her to just go see herself and come back and explain it to us. The waitress was confused about where it was and had to ask the manager again who was still no help. The manager could have saved so much time by just telling us in the first place. She was also a little condescending about our order, we asked for a flat white coffee and when she brought it to us she said cappuccino. I wasn't sure so I asked if it was a flat white for us or maybe for another table and she said "it's literally the same thing." If it's the same thing then why is it on ur menu? All coffee is pretty much the same but why point that out when I was just trying to make sure we didn't accidentally get someone else's order? Also you'll probably have to put your name on the waitlist but be careful because they skip people on the list. I had been waiting for a while and saw several tables open up without being called, and saw that the same manager had skipped our name on the table (they use think black sharpie to cross out names). Cute spot, clearly people who work in the area or are going out for a quick bite will come here during the week. It can be a lunch spot with your grandma or a cafe to catch up over a coffee or pastry with a friend or just a take out spot to bring your meal back to the office. A little small so I wouldn't do more than a party of 3 people, most of the time I've seen people alone like at coffee shops or just one other person. Staff here seem a bit young like it may be their first job, could be a little more alert with service but for the most part they seem friendly. The front area is just for pastries and coffee but the back is where you can get all the food. I've ordered a soup, salad, grilled cheese sandwich, and their chocolate chip cookie so far. The salad was pretty decent size and lots of flavor in it. A little overdressed for my liking so next time I'll get it on the side. But their salads all have unique ingredients and names. You'll be full from the portion and the amount of flavors in these! The tomato soup and grilled cheese were just ok, they could've used a little bit more to them but for a small lunch and quick easy thing, it will do. The chocolate chip cookie kind of surprised me because it was pretty good size and seemed very fresh. I'd almost say it was trying to be like the levain bakery cookie because it reminded me of it. I'd say it doesn't measure up to the famous cookie but still has a decent recipe. The decor and branding is trendy and cute. The energy in non-peak coffee hours is still chaotic. The employees don't offer direction or pleasantries. Make sure you go to the back if you want to order food, or you'll be like us and wait in two lines before someone tells you to go wait in the third. I think this place would be good for a carry out latte, but it's a very loud and hectic environment if you want to sit down. We had smashed avocado tartine with smoked salmon on the side, breakfast sandwich without bacon, and the egg ratatouille. The waitress notified us that seating is usually only available for customers who want brunch but they were nice enough to let us sit for a shortened stay. We got the seasonal latte, which was the honey lavender. The lavender syrup was delicious, very strong floral fragrance. The coffee itself wasn't super notable but the lavender flavor was lovely. The latte was also absolutely massive, which we later found out was because there are multiple sizes available but they just defaulted to the biggest size for us. We also ordered the pistachio croissant, which was yummy but also not very notable in my book. The icing inside was yummy but a little too sweet in my book. It looked pretty, but I don't like egg salad in the am. You order at the counter and then sit down. Definitely homey, no attitude, and they're super friendly.
