Great cocktails, decent selection of beers, and a very interesting menu. I had the burger since it was my first time, and it's a good way to gauge a restaurant - it was delicious. Came on a fresh roll, and the meat was super tasty. My wife had the Gambas Al Ajillo (seasoned prawns) and it was outstanding as well. The outdoor area was very comfortable to eat in - they have heaters, and I assume they'll keep it open all winter, because there's not alot of room inside. Next time maybe I'll come hang out at the bar, and I'm looking to try that Schnitz next time. Or maybe Mama's crispy tacos? It all looked so good - we'll be regulars. read more

Rave for Maple Street Drinkery. Went there last night for drinks and they were amazing!!!! Mary made one of the best Palomas I've had in a while. Also had a Golden Hour bourbon cocktail that was scrumptious. Next time we go we're getting the pretzel board. The ladies next to us had it and it looked amazing. Went to lunch here last month. It was a gloomy day and comfort food was definitely needed and appreciated.Had a wonderful non alcoholic beverage, cheese curds to share, Tomato soup with have BLT a the bundt cake for dessert. So delicious!!!! read more

First thing you'll notice is their beautiful decor; their patio is lovely and the interior has a wonderful simplicity that adds softness and peace. Edgar was my server today and had a solid politeness and attention to detail. Their bottles for water are very much appreciated (from someone who drinks a lot of water haha) and their menu is definitely hard to find just one thing to order off of. I decided to keep it light with the Make It A Wrap which comes with a salad. Their music was soft and allowed for conversations which was nice ambiance. The wrap had a great flavor within the cramy sauce and the chicken ess very juicy. Edgar checked in on me numerous times which was great and the serving portion was enough to finish. Overall, I highly recommend this place and look forward to coming back in the next week or two. FYI, they already have Halloween decorations up which work very well with their decor and ambiance so great job! read more

My boyfriend and I stopped by Maple St. Eatery for an early dinner. I've been to Bar Quiote a few times and loved their curated cocktail menu of tequila and mezcal-based drinks. I was skeptical when the owners of El Charro took over, but I figured I'd give this place a shot. Side note: I had a meh experience with El Charro. The aesthetics of the place really created a calming atmosphere to enjoy drinks and chat with friends. The service was exceptional and quick. We ended up getting the clam chowder in the bread bowl from their special menu along with a side of curly fries. When we were waiting, I noticed our waitress carrying our food from outside (probably walking from El Charro) over to our table. Interesting. Overall, we liked it and would come back again once they work out their issues with the kitchen. read more

Went to maple street eatery with my book club. We had a great time enjoying the updated ambiance. We also noticed that the patio is dog friendly! They even have water bowls for our furry friends to enjoy. Because we had a larger party during their slow time we ordered our drinks from the bar instead of table service. I enjoyed the crispy tacos with potato (to go because I had to leave my group early). The wait for the food was worth it! I will be returning with my friends and family another time. read more

I really want to give this place more stars. I support any local business as much as possible. Maple St needs to work on better customer service with staff and some food items. I love the ambiance, drinks are great, and have enjoyed some yummy food. The fries were horrible last time we were here. And one waitress needs to work on her customer service and remembering items to bring to table. The food was good but despite hours being listed as until 10 don't think you can get dinner at 8:30. It is really loud inside and out. If that is your thing ok. We prefer it quiet enough to hear dinner conversation. We had to ask for silverware after our food appeared and no silverware was given. Party of 3 on a Sunday, took about 5-10 mins to get sat around 1:25-1:30pm which is good. We were given water by the host when we got sat and were told our server would be right with us, but then proceeded to sit there for about 20 minutes with no one coming to us and watching as both the table next to us and behind us were being tended to and checked up on. Given that we had been sat around 1:25-1:30pm, our tab for our table wasn't opened and our order put in until 1:56pm per our check that we got at the end of the meal. After the order was put in, we then waited for about another hour before our server finally came over again and informed us that the kitchen was running behind so our food was delayed in coming out. I've worked as a server so I understand that the kitchen running behind is not the server's fault as I have had to deal with it many times, however I don't think it should have taken that long to inform us that our food was delayed. At this point we were all pretty annoyed, and my main concern was just that my 10yr sister got something to eat. Our server let us know she would check on the kitchen for our food, then came back about 2 mins later with my little and older sisters' dishes. My older sister touched her food and told me that her food was cold, after which we made sure that wasn't the case for my little sister's food, which thankfully was not. She was understandably very annoyed given the fact that we had waited so long and told the kitchen was backed up only for her food to be cold so it had likely been sitting there for a bit, but as it was only her dish that was cold and we were all starving she just dealt with it. My food got brought out a few minutes later, our server asked if we needed anything else, and then after that we were never checked up on once. We ate our food, and then I had to get up and go to the host stand where I saw my server and asked her to give us the check and a box. Our experience was further soured when a couple sat down at the table right next to us, was greeted, had their order taken, and recieved their food all within around 20-30 minutes. Wish that had been our experience. While the food was good, our experience was enough to make us not come back. read more

We love this place! I live in the Marina in SF, which has lots of amazing options, but Maple St. outshines most. The new food menu is delicious. The drinks are next level, unique in their balance of fresh ingredients and top shelf spirits. The bartenders are not just talented, but they're fun and friendly. Came in last night for a light meal with my girlfriends before heading to the Bankhead Theater to see Kevin Nealon who was great by the way. We were able to get a table right away which we were thankful for. We ordered the meatball appetizer which was enough for the three of us (2 large meatballs) since it comes with 2 large slices of delicious bread covered in Parmesan. This dish wasn't anything special, but the sauce is pretty good. We also ordered Gambas Al Ajillo, this was the star! A large order of perfectly cooked shrimp in an olive oil based sauce and it's accompanied by a small loaf of that delicious bread that is so perfect for dipping, I would definitely order this dish again. I wish I would have taken an updated picture of the menu because although small, they had a good amount of variety to offer, and decent drink menu too. The service was great, the staff was so friendly, and it's just a really cute spot that I'm looking forward to going back to. read more

My husband and I went to this restaurant last night. We ate inside at the bar. The ambiance is nice, other than it is a bit noisy. Bartender friendly. Cute decor. However, the drinks are watery, the food too salty, parking is a real problem and menu very limited. They don't have their own kitchen yet and they cook in the Mexican restaurant in the same area and carry it over. It is not covered for the journey. Open dishes. Don't love that idea. The sub-par Mexican restaurant actually owns Maple Street Eatery. Which explains a lot. Anyone who thinks the food is excellent is out of their mind or has never left Livermore. We will give it another try; I like to support our fabulous town. Probably try the mac and cheese but not the tacos for reason above. I will order a glass of wine, that can't be watered down, right? Give it a try folks, I want it to succeed, and they need feedback on their business. read more
