First, the food is great -- innovative, delicious, nice presentation. Lots of attractive options on the menu. The burger is excellent. The Chicken Schnitzel with Waffle is addictive. I loved that the chicken was pounded thin and very tender. (Ask for extra berry butter.) A big thank you to the staff here. My sibs and I brought my 92-year-old dad for lunch on a farmer's market Sunday. The line was extremely long, it was warm out, and my dad was getting tired. The wonderful hostess found a seat for him and was so kind to all of us. And then Antonio, our server, was thoughtful, helpful, and exactly the server you want when you have someone who isn't quite sure what he'd like to eat. (He finally got the burger, ate half of it, and was extremely pleased to take the other half home.) We had some good drinks, too: Dark Desert Highway, Brown Sugar Old Fashioned (both great); a mimosa flight (yes, the 92-year-old likes mimosas) and a really good Irish Coffee. We felt so pampered, sitting on the lovely patio, sipping great cocktails and eating wonderful food. Such a treat. Thank you, MSE, for making all the generations happy. Finally had a chance to check this place out. It's on the edge of downtown livermore, which I don't often go to. But I saw on yelp that this place is highly rated and that they serve potato tacos, so I had to check them out. My friend and I were there during happy hour so we ordered a handful of different shareable items and they were all yummy. The potato tacos were my fave, but the meatballs and zucchini fries were pretty tasty, too. Great service, really cute interior and lovely patio area with an assortment of Mediterranean style plants and heating lamps for chilly days. We showed up at 1:15pm on Saturday, 5/24/25 (Memorial Day Weekend) and the place was hoppin'. Everything was super cute - the outside tables and decor was very inviting, and the inside had beautiful artwork and colors...we especially loved the hanging paper cranes in the window, with the light streaming in and casting their shadows on the far ceiling and wall. Because it was so full, the only place for us to sit was at the bar...which we didn't mind. The service was very friendly - both the hostess and the bartender/server. We arrived with enough time to be able to order from the brunch menu...I had chilaquiles and hubby had chicken & waffles. Both were exactly as you would expect...they were yummy. We also enjoyed their drinks...lemonade and a guava mocktail. Delicious. We'd return if we were in the area again, except....never again inside. Because they have concrete floors, and a concrete bar, and high ceilings, the noise level was well beyond comfortable. The sound bounces around and reverberates....so everyone sort of has to raise their voices just to be heard by those sitting close...and so it just becomes a cacophonous den. Honestly, I think our dishes took a little longer than normal to come out because of this. I saw the cook come out of the kitchen looking for someone...he caught the attention of one server, who then was trying to tell our bartender/server something about having to listen for the "ding" (of the bell from inside the kitchen) and so then she went in and retrieved our dishes. They were still very warm so it hadn't been long, but I promise you I fully understand why/how he didn't hear it! Anyway, lesson learned....if we can't sit outside, we'll have to skip it. We went to Maple Street Eatery for the first time last night and it was a wonderful dining experience. We had reservations and they were going to seat us outside but we wanted to eat inside. They had no issues accommodating us inside, which we really appreciated (although there is limited seating inside). The bar area looks really neat and inviting as well and the place got very busy while we were there. Our server (Antonio) was excellent and patient with us, offering his suggestions and favorites as well. We started with the sweet potato tots, fried zucchini, and the shareable pretzel. All 3 were very good but the pretzel was everybody's favorite. It was so good (one of the best I've had) and the beer cheese was excellent too. The sweet potato tots were really good too. Overall we ordered the sirloin, salmon, grilled cheese with tomato bisque, and 2 orders of the 3 fried tacos (1 shredded beef, 1 shredded chicken, 1 potato). Everybody was very pleased with their dishes and i really enjoyed the tacos. The beef was my favorite, then the potato. The chicken one was good too. There are several other menu items i want to try as well. Lastly, the cheesecake stuffed churros were an amazing ending to a wonderful dinner! THE best fries I've ever had! Love love love this place! Everyone is friendly and helpful and just overall nice. We went for dinner with no reservations but that wasn't a problem. They were very helpful in helping us find a table. We had to wait for about 10 minutes but that wasn't bad at all. They have pretty big menu and honestly we haven't had anything bad yet! We've been there 3 times and have loved it every time. The pretzel and beer cheese is amazing!!! The schnitzel sandwich was so good I was actually surprised. Chicken schnitzel is hard to keep juicy but this was so juicy and flavorful and ugghhh so good! The place is on the smaller side but I kind of like that. It makes it feel intimate and you feel like you get better service rather than a bigger piece where you just feel like a number. They don't rush you out and the servers stop to talk to you but not in a check the box way of checking on you. The woman is either the owner or manager but she's always there and is always moving, checking on tables, cleaning, greeting, she's great. Great food, ambience and service! We sat in the outdoor seating area filled with succulents and fresh flowers. We ordered the mixed green salad, the gambas al ajillo, an order of two "Mamas Tacos" (potato per the suggestion of the owner) and two cucumber mock-tails. The meal was perfect to split for two. The gambas al ajillo was served with a small baguette that was perfect for dipping into the decadent sauce. We were both surprised at how delicious the crispy tacos were when prepared with mashed potato. Lastly, the salad was adorned with fresh strawberries, blackberries cherry tomatoes and was a perfect match when coupled with the shrimp and sauce. This place is so good! So many options in downtown Livermore but so glad we ended up eating here. We had the fried zucchini which took me back to growing up in Hayward and it was delicious and not too heavy. Then we shared the spicy chicken sandwich and BLAT. The chicken was so juicy and actually pleasantly spicy. The BLAT was on the best bread and the bacon was cooked to perfection. Finally we ended our meal with the pineapple Bundt cake which was hot with caramel sauce and was gone so fast the server teased us that it must have fallen on the floor. We have wanted to try this spot for some time, made it today for lunch This is a very alcohol centric spot. The drinks menu is huge. The vibe is very Tiki Hut...and indoor space is limited. There is no heat in doors. That said it has a wonderfully varied menu. We both ordered off the Specials Menu...I had a Half BALT, and hubby the Carne Asada Street Tacos. They had my favorite Fever Gingerbeer..so yummy. My BALT was perfect...Wingen Bakery Bread sliced thin, generous bacon was crispy, salad was full of my favorite greens, avocado was perfect. Amazing brunch menu...including really cocktail specials! (See pictures) Special shout out to the Mama's Breakfast Crispy Tacos! Seriously the best brunch meal I've had in years! The combo of flavors was perfection! And be sure to give the Breakfast Shot a try- you won't be disappointed! I really enjoyed my first visit to Maple St. Eatery & Drinkery! My mom and I popped in on a Wednesday around 5:30pm (just in time for happy hour!). We went here the day before Fathers Day. Server was ok although the server did not know what Orale beer was which was on the menu. We ordered meatballs and the fries for apps. Fries were good meatballs were about a five. Would recommend going to the Slice House if you want proper meat balls. My wife ordered a Caeser Salad with chicken. Dry chicken not that great. I ordered the pepper steak with mashed potato and vegis. Steak was chewy and fatty. Mashed potatoes were cold and vegis wer spongy and dry. Sent the veg back and got the same as before spongy and dry. I did not eat my meal. The manager apologized and suppossedly took my meal off the tab which I thanked them for. I left a generous cash tip as the service was good. The food sucked. We got our credit card bill. They did not take off my meal. I would go here again for drinks but not for food. Overall a really great experience at this restaurant! I got the steak salad, half sized, and it was HUGEE. They do not play around with their portions. We also got the pretzel board to share with a group of 4 and it was DELICIOUS. I dream about it sometimes ngl. Parking is regular downtown parking; some parking in front but free parking lot nearby. I recently came here on an early Saturday evening and then the following Thursday evening. The staff is super friendly and attentive. Got seated right away with our choice to sit inside or out on the heated patio. We sat outside and even though the temps were low, it was nice and warm under their heaters. Our servers were on top of everything and very attentive. The food was good and portions were generous. I had the BLAT (which is loaded with the most delicious bacon!) which comes with a good size side salad. We also had the sweet potato tots which were crispy, the fried zucchini (which were crispy and plentiful), as well as the pretzel (perfectly crisp on the outside and soft and buttery inside). The hibiscus lemonade was flavorful and sweet. We ended the night with cheesecake filled churros- mainly just deep fried churros filled with cream cheese served with a couple dollops of whip cream and strawberries, but they were good. Parking is tricky (they are in a small lot with a few other businesses), but the parking garage is nearby as well as plenty of street parking. We'll definitely be back! This is my new favorite restaurant! This place has it all - charming ambiance, beautifully crafted cocktails, & absolutely delicious food. What, for me, made them become my new favorite restaurant after only two visits, is the service we received from Yeti! Incredible service begins at initial contact. I called the restaurant earlier on in the day to ask about their partially enclosed patio. I am Covid conscious and wanted to ask if the patio might be packed that night based on their reservations. (You never know why someone is Covid conscious in 2025, and it's actually not anyone's business. You'd be surprised though with the amount of hostility that one encounters while still choosing to move Covid consciously through the world.) When I briefly explained my concerns to Yeti, she was kind and reassuring. Even offered to set up a table for us slightly outside of the dining area where folks sometimes sit to have cocktails if the dining area was too packed in. I appreciated this small gesture SO much. When we arrived, she happened to be our server that evening. She was (is) amazing! - attentive, sweet, and knowledgeable. It was just so clear that she wanted to make sure that we had a great experience, and we did. Some food and drink standouts to me - The Saturn cocktail. Their take on the tiki classic is sublime. It's clear they use fresh ingredients for their cocktails. We had quite a few different ones and let me tell you all of them were great, but the Saturn was my favorite. Furikake fries - these might be the best french fries I've had in my life, ever. I'm not kidding. What kind of sorcery do you all use to make these fries taste so good? These are a must order, period. Gambas shrimp - juicy, plump, perfectly cooked shrimp, tapas style served with their fresh baked bread. These too are a must if you enjoy shrimp. We also had the blackened salmon with Yukon gold mashed potatoes and roasted vegetables. Salmon might've been the tiniest bit overcooked, but I certainly won't complain. It was still delicious to me! Our dining companions both had burgers and they loved them. What would make this restaurant catapult into extraterrestrial fabulousness would be if they would offer a beyond/impossible burger option. But that might be a problem for me though, because I might need to eat there monthly. If you've read this review this far, just go there. With two visits there alone this month, I can tell you that this place really is special and I bet that you'll have a great experience. Five stars and beyond... read more

I don't write reviews often, but we had such a lovely experience at this spot today! We were walk-ins and in spite of the fact that they had a ton of reservations, including a party of 28, they managed to make us feel seen and get our food out in a timely fashion. The bartender made us absolutely delicious watermelon margaritas, and then mixed it up and made me a guava one even though it wasn't on the menu. The BLAT was one of the best BLTs I've had in a long time and the salad dressing was super tasty! The pretzel and sausage board was very generous and stacked with all sorts of yummy little bites. Cute atmosphere as well. Even though Livermore is about an hour away from me, I will find a way to come back to this great spot! read more

This was a great casual spot to enjoy happy hour (4-6pm) out on their Christmas decorated patio with our dog whose name also happens to be Maple :) the heaters keep you comfortably warm even if it's cold outside. There's a tall Santa to greet you at the entrance. Parking is limited, if you arrive after 6pm you will most likely be parking on the street. We enjoyed our cocktails, the Hot Toddy was perfect for the cold day and my Golden Hour was tasty! The Mac and cheese was small but hearty. We asked for no bacon and got confused when the dish came out but realized it was crumbled herbs on top, not bacon! The garlic bread clam chowder on their specials menu was great. Our first time here and it was pretty good. The staff were nice and the place was clean. Many people seated outside on the small patio area. Inside had a few tables and bar area. It was very loud inside despite there being only 6 people inside plus bartender and servers walking in and out. Outside was nice, but pretty loud as well. I'd say that was because we were by a large party of folks but still the tables were fairly close so it's hard to have a focused conversation at times. We only came to grab some drinks and a few appetizers. The pretzel board we got was great and the other food we saw coming out to other tables looked fantastic too. Our drinks were delicious and they had a lot of options. Oh and the kitchen closes an hour before they close. I'd probably go back to try some other menu options I'd just warn people I'm with that it could be loud there. read more
