The food is good but the customer service is horrible. Placed an online pick up order arrived on time and had to wait almost 1 1/2 hours for my order. Each time I asked about my order their response was they are working on it. No apology, no care in the world. Will not be going back. Context: We've tried sushi places across the nation as we travel frequently. We love sushi. We gave it a try. We didn't like it as Roll Me. The name change didn't really improve the quality. Pros: -Service was good. The waitresses were super nice and cordial and fast. -Atmosphere: comfortable. Cons: -Sushi rice was very bland. It's not real sushi rice. -Tried rainbow roll, spicy yellowtail, and cherry blossom. All of them were meh. Yoshinos still rules as #1 go to place locally. Maru and Kenzos are close #2. All else are just Americanized sushi equivalents like Panda Expresses of the Chinese food. read more

Have been coming here for a few years, since before the name change. Best sushi spot in Fresno. We literally come here at least once a week, if not twice. Super fresh fish, very clean place, the roll one for mi, or maya special now, is always made incredibly well. Super pretty presentation and great, friendly staff. They have a good variety of cold sake. The hot sake machine doesn't get the sake hot enough, but they will heat it up to make it extra hot if you ask! The staff are all very accommodating and never say no to any of our crazy requests. Sake bombs are a must when here. The patio is my favorite! I love that they haven't raised their prices like a lot of places do when they start getting more popular. We were sooooooo impressed with the take out from the folks at Maya the other night. We had the OMG roll, the soft shell crab rolls, and Chef's Choice. This was, by a landslide, the best take out sushi we've ever had. And we've been to every sushi joint in Fresno north of Shaw. All the rolls were HUGE and loaded with fresh fish. The Chef's Choice had tuna, salmon, crab, scallops and two or three different sauces. It's definitely the way to go! Rolls are not cheap but you get what you pay for and we have no problem playing for top quality. I was warmly greeted at door by a team of at least three hard at work sushi chefs. The gal who rang up my order was a sweetheart and even the employee who was taking a break in the parking lot on my way out said "Thank you!" really good! i've been a few times with family and friends and i've never been let down. i've gotten the rainbow roll and the magic dragon and even something as simple as the rainbow roll tastes amazing. the fish is always really fresh and service is consistently quick. in addition, the servers are very nice and check on you just enough. they have the typical japanese beers as well. i'll be back soon ;) read more
