Very poor custemor service skills. The first guy at the check out window was very friendly. But the lady at the second window was rude and didn't say have a nice day or anything. And then when I asked her for more napkins, she snapped at me. And then when I called and talked to the manger, all he said was hello, and didn't have any communication skills, and was also rude to me when I told him the cashier was incompetent. I'll just stick to the one in Vista, where They're more polite and not rude. read more

Came in today and had the grand Mac and it was awesome sad thing is I remember when I was a kid and that was the Big Mac before everything shrunk. My only complaint is that the size wish the everyday Mac was the size of the grand Mac but super good and the fries are the best love it. read more

I've been here a few times without incident, but a recent experience definitely warranted a less than perfect review... Went here after work at the fair to get a snack for the ride home. Ordered a McChicken, McDouble, and a coffee drink. Was told it would be around $5. I get to the part where I'm right behind the person at the "pay" window. At this point I've been in line about 10 minutes, which is pretty long for a fast food restaurant but it's right next to the fair so I tell myself they must be busy. I hear some guy at the "food" window screaming obscenities at the workers about how long they took. Laughed to myself a little bit. Get to the pay window. Person doesn't say a word, just takes my card, swipes it, and hands me a receipt. Get to the food window. Got handed a huge order that wasn't mine...gave it back and told them what my order was. Got it and left - total time was about 15 mins in the drive through. Get home and check my bank account the next day - charged $18 for a $5 order. Called and spoke to a manager, they told me to bring in the receipt. I dig it out of my trash can and bring it in before work the next day. A manager looks it over and tells me that I should expect a call from corporate the next day. I accept this and leave. Call never came. I go back a few days later...the guy asks what the amount I should have paid was. I state about $5, so he simply gives me 13 bucks out of the register and calls it even. Time on my behalf spent correcting this - about an hour. Compensation from McDonalds - zero. Apologies from ANYBODY I spoke to about this - zero. Avoid this place - ineffective and incapable management coupled with poor customer service. read more

First chance to finally write on this McDonald's in Del Mar, CA. It's the worst of the worst service for a McDonald's in the history of going to McDonald's. Food took to long and the best thing that comes out of McDonald's is the piping HOT fires, they were COLD! This message is directed to the so-called Managers at this McDonald's. What happened to making sure the RUSH HOUR shift is covered. In the day when I worked McDonald's, the managers cared and were covered to the HILT! Get yourselves together, clean up your act (that means care while you make money for your franchise)and properly feed the patrons with go hot food ALL the time! read more

I like that this McDonald's is located conveniently off the freeway, but that's as good as it gets. It has touch screen machines, where you can order your food, if interacting with people isn't your thing. They also have double drive thrus. The thing I hate, is the bathrooms are always dirty. They're always missing toilet paper and seat covers. This spot is popular for people traveling, as you can often times see people sleeping inside. If you want to eat at a place with major loitering, this is the one. Sometimes there are people eating, that give me the creeps. Surprised management doesn't kick out all the night sleepers. Overall, this place is good if you want to drive thru at any given time. Don't expect much, even though it's in Del Mar. read more

Ive eaten at many over the years and i have to say they are pretty much the same for food. The big difference is the location. These people are correct. I stopped here on the way home from San Diego. Rich people everywhere. This place has a couch i sat on with my own coffee table. Big screen TV. Only playing news. Fancy but crowded with a hurried atmosphere. I guess these people are in a hurry to spend all their money before they die. I am very pleased with the Angus deluxe burger. Very good. Ive tried several and it was consistant. Other goodies are the ice cream cones, choc chip cookies, coffee. And the coca cola tastes like coca cola. The fries are a mixed bag. Sometimes good if cooked right. Sausage mc muffin not bad either. McDonald's is usually a good place to get a small snack or even a meal on the go but this McDonald's was something else. To start it the McDouble we ordered was covered in grease and had soggy and stale bread. Then the nuggets we ordered were good until we saw there was two little bugs in the box. Also it took forever to get my food. To finish it we couldn't even throw away our food because the trashes were filled to the point where there was a pile of trash on top. This has to be one of the worse drive-thru's I've ever been through. There are two drive thru lanes which merge back into one. The inner one was moving much faster than the outer which I happened to be in. Service was very slow...I will never come back to this location. read more

Any fast food establishment that can put up with three different orders on three separate debit cards is alright with me. Still, I didn't understand why a manager needed to get involved. I mean it's like ringing up three cars, because the only other option was to go around the drive thru twice again and that wasn't happening. The young man who took our order was nice, but it was when we arrived to the second window where the shift leader I assume had attitude written all over her face. The insect problem here was beyond sanitary, you literally couldn't not eat inside this McDonald's because of the flies that were landing all over you and your food. The gnats around the soft drink dispenser and the condiments were disgusting. Definitely not the most sanitary establishment I've ever been to. read more

Drive thru is packed but you are in and out in less than 5 minutes. They have a dual lane drive thru which is nice. The speakers are loud and you can hear them clearly on the other end. McDonalds has it down! Place your order, pay at one window and your food is always hanging out the next window for you to grab. You don't even need to slow down...Trash was piled up outside the back door of McDonalds next to the drive-thru though which smelled as you rolled by. read more

The manager, Louis (I think that is his name) is excellent. Every time I go there the entire staff is very nice and the line moves very quickly. I always encounter smiling faces in the drive through and in the restaurant. Today, I forgot my wallet and Louis still gave me my food when I tried to cancel my order. I am so appreciative that he is trusting me to come back and pay (which I definitely will do). Customer service like that is rare. He is truly a shining star in your organization. :) read more

I never thought I would write a review about McDonald's, but I was just so disappointed at this place, I just had to. I used to LOVE McD's iced coffee, but after I had just a sip of hazelnut iced coffee from this place, I don't think I will EVER enjoy it again. Too watery, coffee was too weak. Even though they made me a second cup, it was still the same. It left a very awful taste in my mouth. So sad now cuz I really used to enjoy McD's coffee. :( read more

Sorry, but when we go to this drive thru we have to budget at least an extra 5 to 10 minutes for the slow service. They have a dual lane drive thru but the order taking is often incorrect, and the management has at times seemed unconcerned with mistakes. There are other successful McDonald's drive thrus that incorporate the dual drive thru to their benefit, but I actually think in this case it has made them slower. I'm sure they can improve...... read more
