So a road hazard/tire issue drove me off the freeway and into the arms of MOD pizza. My car was being worked on and my stomach grumbled, MOD was in sight. One of my fond childhood memories is my friends and me going to Pizza Hut and getting that thin crust pizza they served. Great stuff. Well MOD recreates that thin crust wonder with a thousand points of light attached. What a great pizza joint. I will NEVER eat another pizza if one of these places is in range. I kid you not. I had to double take. Less than 10 bucks, any topping you want. TOTALLY FAIR DEAL. Then you taste it and realize you are ripping them off! Three employees behind the counter and I waited for over 2 minutes just for someone to acknowledge me. Waited another 3 minutes for a milk shake as the employee took breaks inbetween mixing it to talk to other people. Pick up the pace guys. I was the only person in line. Employees are walking away from the stove to grab themselves soda. Trash is overflowing and the beverage bar is a mess. Pizza came out good. read more

Not only is the pizza here great on a pit stop heading to Tahoe - but the friendliness and service of the staff was above and beyond. One guy spinning a dozen pizzas in the oven took a quick 2 mins to walk around and ask every table how the pizza he made was. Big smile on his face and you could tell he loves his job. I first heard about this place in the East Bay Area. We just got one here in West Sacramento and I am hooked! It is a novel spin on pizza where you can create your own or get one off the menu (I know that standard) however, what makes this place different is the healthy options that are also available ie: corn, broccoli, etc.) The pizza was outstanding. It was the 11", regular crust, have also tried the gluten free. Made with the toppings I ordered. My most recent was: the Isaac which I added asiago, mozzarella, bacon , grilled chicken, fresh basil, and roasted garlic- then I share a piece with my best friend and needless to say she is now hooked. Friday, March 15, 2019. This was the first time trying this restaurant and I was truly disappointed. I ordered the Calexico pizza and the crust was very very thin. The price was $9.58 for a 11-inch pizza. The price was very reasonable but it tasted like cheap imitation pizza from Wal-Mart's frozen section. The pizza was lacking ingredients and flavor. The service was quick and efficient so that's the only reason I gave them 3 stars. Employees weren't smiling and they seem like they didn't want to be there. Unfortunately, I wouldn't come back. Would you suggest or recommend any of your friends or family members? Probably not since I was expecting to eat a delicious pizza. read more

Came here the other day.....we loved MODs when we lived down south so we gave this location a try and it was just ok. The people behind the counter were pushy making you hurry up to order but the pizza was just ok just much toppings on the pizza which normally has alot of toppings. MOD has been my new go to. Pizza options are awesome. Crust options as well. Im not vegan or anything like that and can't help but go cauliflower crust every time. I'm going to have to change my review from a year ago. We went there yesterday for my favorite pizza and I had my heart set on a mini mod pizza and a mini mod salad. When I got up to the counter I looked at the lettuce and found it to be brown and wilted so I changed my mind I'm having a salad it was not fresh. My husband wanted his crust lightly cooked so it didn't have any brownish black on the bottom the first pizza they did for him he had them redo it and the second pizza Came out even more burnt. The staff claimed that it was supposed to be like that and they couldn't lightly cook it. He was very disappointed with his pizza and did not eat it. The almost $7.00 "tiny" salad was pitifully "tiny". This should have been 1/ 2 the price. They did not put dressing on the salad, or even give me a side of dressing. I assumed it was ready to go, until I got home and opened it. I had to use Ranch dressing I had in my fridge. I was really disappointed with this. I was looking forward to the salad more than the pizza. It was basic. Romaine lettuce, a little bit of Parmesan, tomatoes. I have had better salads from 7-11 for 4 bucks. Seriously. My recommendation would be to go ONLY for the pizza. Anything else, your wasting your money. My entire bill was over $21.00. Including a small tip. read more

Pretty good. Very friendly service. There is one guy who wore a beanie goes around greeting everyone and checking to see if everything is okay. Love the friendliness of the place. Pizza is overall pretty good. I think it's better than Blast pizza but not quite as good as Pieology. I will have to give it one more try to make sure. I love this place! It's in between my job and home. I can go after work or get my kids and go. This place is awesome for picky kids. They can pick whatever goes on their pizza. This place is bright and new. An awesome addition to West Sacramento. The employees are very friendly and nice. They say hi and bye to everyone that comes in. There's three sizes mini, Mod and Maddy. Mini is like personal size, great for little kids. A MOD dough is $8.47 and Maddy is thicker dough and crust it's $10.47. If you are going to pile the toppings, I suggest the Maddy. You can literally add anything to your pizza.... I'm in love and addicted to this place. When they first opened I came back to back four different times. It does get pricey towards the end with your kids. I do think it's worth it. read more

I visited this place for the second time on 11/24. I am sad to report that my pizza took 25 minutes, arrived burnt, and tasted terrible. About 1/3 of it was not edible. The staff were all working very hard at their jobs, yet the dining room had only a few people in it. It appeared to me that several more staff were needed. Whatever the reason, this restaurant dropped the ball and clearly was not focused. I won't be back. read more

This place opened 3 weeks ago, and we finally made it over to check it out. We're glad we did! The pizzas are very good with an amazingly crispy crust despite loading it with as many toppings as you wish. We love Blaze pizza in Davis and they do an excellent crust, too. Mod is closer for us so it will be a new go-to. Pieology does not compare in this style of make your own pizza as we've had soggy pizzas from there before. read more

Service was not good at all, there was not one employee even smiling! They all had long faces and faces with attitudes I felt like it wasn't even a MOD, and being that I worked at MOD I know what kind of attitudes we should have and try our hardest to make the environment of the store feel welcoming, needless to say I didn't feel very welcomed. I love mod Pizza especially when the manager Aron welcomes me in every time I come here and the employees really very nice and fast paste with there work even the owner comes in and helps out. They do great customer service especially with people that has allergies like me I have celiac disease so I need gluten free bread and I'm also lactose intolerant luckily they have dairy free cheese and they do great on the cross contamination I can't stop coming here when I'm craving or pizza the best place ever for pizza and it's close to where I live. The staff at this location are poorly trained in basic customer service and quite frankly, they are rude. I ordered (and tipped) online...went in to pickup and since no one was in the "Online Pickup" line, I was able to walk right up. No one acknowledged me for a good 4 minutes (mind you, there was at least 5 people working the front). The first acknowledgment I got was a snappy, " Are you Tammy?" I answered "no" and gave her my name, to which she just walked back to the pizza oven. I continued to wait when I noticed two pizza boxes off to the right side of the counter sitting. I proceeded to ask if it was possible they were mine. She asked my name again and immediately announced, "yes, those are yours!" I hope they enjoy the undeserved, generous tip. Never again. read more
